Haha damn, nice....and yeah, all of my sites were down. Kinda odd.

Now I must hunt to the ends of the Earth to find this game...

Hmm, the animation and character's movements reminds me of an old Nintendo Gamecube game, but I cant quite put my finger on it. With plenty of sandbox opportunities to interact within the game, this might be be a hit.
Also lol at the projectile physics. Makes it look like he's popping off Spiderman's webby rounds.
brings a whole new term to "how do i shot web" :P

It's one of the best first person shooters to come out since Goldeneye.

MattTheParanoidKat Presents: A persistent adventure in otakuness.
About 2 hours ago, I thought it would be a good idea to go buy some Ranma manga at chapters. Which always is. So I decided to walk to chapters, with takes up a good 20 minutes of my time. So I get there, and the first thing I notice at the store was a guy who literally looked like Benny from Black Lagoon. Glasses, and hair. I was all holy fuck, then I proceeded to the Manga section. Alas, it failed me when I saw no manga that interested me this time around. Because some bastard took my Ranma volume 1. So I rushed out of the store, and decided maybe there is something I can get at Coles at Willowbrook (my local mall), but when I got there, I noticed that Coles was going under maiteniance, and is closed for the time being, so I just went to HMV. Totally useless since there wasn't any anime DVDs, or any Swans CDs. So, I just said "Fuck it, I'm going to Best Buy." Best Buy took a good 15 minutes of my time from Willowbrook. So, when I got there, I saw a rather decent selection; Astro Boy DVDs, Miyazaki's Lupin the 3rd movie, and what I just purchased: Black Lagoon Volume 2 DVD. So Another hour later I get back. Fun note; on the way back I saw a black man riding in a red truck, who I gave the Hitler salute to. So now, I'm going to go watch my Black Lagoon. See you later jews.

Sounds like fun/moderate frustration.
You should have given IRL Benny a Hitlergruss as well, though. It'd have been a lot funnier.
Haha, proud to be the newest member. I'm kinda shocked nobody has heard 5centimeter per second here(watch it). So... what does the club do?

I'll give it a look, it sounds interesting enough...not to mention it'll be out around here in December.
So... what does the club do?
Talk about anime and things related to anime, of course.
Ah, i see..
Now i think of it, I could use some recommendation from you guys. Any comedy/slice-of-life or action/drama/romance good to watch here in your lists?
animes under that genre that i have seen before are:
Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Fate/Stay Night, Full Metal Panic!, Saikano
..if i remembered correctly that's my current list.
Ah thanks! Would definitely check them out..
I wanted to add something but NG wouldn't allow me to edit my post. Double posting sucks
Any horror/mystery series that is similar to series like Paranoia Agent or Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/When They Cry?

Found a torrent for Love Death 2, Gendo....looks like you don't need to search all around the world for it :P.
Those specs are horribly high, I won't be able to run it for uh....testing....purposes...for my uh...school newspaper. Yeah.

I'll wait until I get my new computer to snag that, since my laptop has only about 8 gigs left and a shoddy internet connection.
Nonetheless, thank you for sharing this.

Had it for ages, glad to have snagged it when I did.
I plan on getting the other films even though there sub par compared to the first two(the 3rd one is the most average and the 4th is a bit of a train wreck, but the 5th is faithful to the final chapters of the manga so im most certainly seeing it.)
AVOID THE SIXTH FILM LIKE THE PLAGUE!
It's bullshit, movie five had a perfectly good ending, a sequel was not needed.
Has anyone heard of the anime, Innocent Venus? I just discovered it on Anime Network on Demand and I think it kicks ass.

I have that series on DVD. Nothing special imo, pretty decent for me. it was enjoyable though..

Good, good.
Just figured I'd remind you, since I recall you being prone to bouts of "forgetfulness".
Hooray, I completed Ouran High School Host Club, which I can only some up in one cheesy foreign buzzword: MOEE. Seriously, fucking overkilled the cute in the anime, and I became a total fan girl because of it. The last episode was jusst so, so damn cute. In short, amazing serious, must watch it over again soon.

But seriously, I fucking need to get off my ass and watch Ouran, like now...

Excellent....
Both manga series are excellent and the OVAs are very much needed on your behalf.
At 9/5/07 09:59 PM, Mendou wrote: I still have the OVA on tape but the sound quality is shit so I'm gonna to upgrade on that.
Herdcoer.
I still have a fuckton of DBZ and Gundam stuff on VHS.
Hell, I even purchased a SECOND copy of Endless Waltz (the edited OVA version, I already had the uncut movie edition) just for the lulz.
Not to mention it should be easy as hell to get the manga since theres like only 4 volumes for both series and shouldn't take long to collect.
Yup, took me a few months, and that's because I had about 10 other series on the go at the same time.
You could easily snag it all within a matter of weeks, or if you've got the resources and can find it at a local shop or for cheap online, in one day.
what got me into anime was pokemon/inuyasha/bleach/fullmetel alcemist/blood+.thats all relly

I started laughing here. Not to be rude, but I never considered PokeMon to be an anime. More like a cartoon really.

Children always believed the craziest things.
Of course when you bring those beliefs on, that's when the problems start.
I used to enjoy Pokemon when I was younger, but I stopped watching after they left Kanto and went onto... What was it? The orange islands or something?
I think either that, or possibly Sailor Moon was the first anime I ever saw, but I never watched Sailor Moon as a regular activity, more like 'when it was on'.
But I'm curious, what's your definition of anime?

It's really hard to define anime, or at least I think it is. But really, when I got to thinking about it, PokeMon just felt like it became too cartoony. Something to rival shows like Dexter's Lab or Johnny Bravo on Cartoon Network. But, you could argue that the show has all the elements of man other anime shows, so I guess it could go either way.
At 9/6/07 08:33 AM, TacticalShoe wrote: so I guess it could go either way.
Actually, it really couldn't.
Anime is defined as either: A cartoon (using the literal definition), or a Japanese cartoon (using the more common definition).
Pokemon is both of those.
Anime are cartoons, it's not as if it should be a separate group which is unable to rival other American shows, nor does it have to abide by a set of rules for it to be classified under its own label.
