Judging by the behaviours he's displayed, he won't improve.
If he does, he can stay.

Not gonna happen.
If he's gonna diss my favorite series, shojo and comedy anime, then I'm not doing shit related to him.

Try leading by example. And punishing anyone who doesn't follow that example. He is on thin ice though. It's because he's so new I'm giving him this chance.

Understandable.
But the personal attacks have netted him no mercy from me.

Hahahaha.
There's clearly been a lot of facepalming on NG /A/ today.

You don't say.
It must be that "Newfag Summer" time of the year.
Well I watched the first (chronologically) 8 episodes of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but now I have to wait to get the rest. I want to see the WORLD now though!! (Dio drops a steamroller and goes WRYYYYY in the anime right?)
PS: What's wrong with MagiPoka? It's awesome for all the right reasons. And Narutaru is for girls....girls that like seeing other girls get sexually violated, dropped out windows, get cut in half, and have their parents murdered.
God damn you Dr. Zeus! Damn you straight to hell!!

No, he never says "WRYYYYYYYYYYYY" and drops an oil tanker instead.

Near-plotless fanservice anime that /b/tards watch. Not my kind of show.
And Narutaru is for girls....girls that like seeing other girls get sexually violated, dropped out windows, get cut in half, and have their parents murdered.
Man, how I hate these "dark" anime and manga series and their ridiculously over-the-top amounts of disturbing content.
Hell, Narutaru's graphic content damned its chances at distribution in English. First the manga got censored, then cancelled after volume seven.
Call me crazy, but I have a huge hatred for these "serious business" gore/mindfuck series. Even Hellsing has a goofy, self-mocking sense of humor to gloss over the brutality (not to mention the lack of sexual content).
Maybe my taste is just too childish and light-hearted.
At 7/6/07 02:10 AM, Akatsuki321 wrote: Nah, some people just aren't fans of animes or mangas that focus on negative thoughts or actions.
That said, I loved Ichi The Killer (the film, manga and OVA). But even then I have the excuse of finding it morbidly funny (since the manga is too offensive to take seriously, the OVA is just plain ridiculous and the film is an intentional black comedy).
At 7/6/07 02:08 AM, Gendo wrote: No, he never says "WRYYYYYYYYYYYY" and drops an oil tanker instead.
A shame at that, since it was one of Dio's key characteristics.

And how can you not like a badass who goes around punching people until they explode in the turn of the century?
Too bad Kenshiro is not voiced by the original (Akira Kamiya; famous for Ryo Saeba of City Hunter, Ryo Nagare of Getter Robot Series and Roy Fokker of Macross Series. He even did the japanese dub of Goldeneye as James Bond).
At 7/6/07 02:17 AM, Akatsuki321 wrote: So you do like some stuff that has things to do with murder or other things like that but you like them presented in a comedy type of fashion is what your saying right?
Oh God, in the right context, murder and other grim subjects can be downright hilarious, but unflinching depictions of violence and shit like that (especially anything to do with child sexual abuse, it just fucking disgusts me) is repulsive and nasty in my opinion. I could honestly never call a series that focuses on such content entertaining in the traditional sense of the word.
I like programs like the Law & Order franchise and real-life crime shows, but I'd never consider them "fun" to watch so much as intellectually stimulating.
At 7/6/07 02:18 AM, HaroFreak wrote: A shame at that, since it was one of Dio's key characteristics.
Yeah, but the OVA voice actor wasn't too good, hence the "WRYYYYYYYY" would have probably been shit.

Everyone loves Hokuto no Ken, it's law. That couldn't be further from a dark, depressing gorefest. It may be quite violent, but it's exciting and fun as well.

Like Club-to-Death Angel Dokuro-chan? It's the type of violence that made the first Kill Bill so awesome.
Claymore mixes some pretty dark humor with the gore. And the nudity actually makes sense, because a woman who comes out of a giant creature isn't going to be wearing clothes. Though they haven't shown the chest of a Claymore yet (in the anime)...apparently it is really gross or something.
"Your left arm is missing. Oh my. Here it is."

Both are great examples of murder being comic gold.

Spot-on. Not to mention Claymore is just plain better than all of these crappy psychological series in every other respect.

Pish, I'm more hardcore then that. I only burn out when I am on hardcore drugs. LIKE CRACK/COCAINE.
I feel the need to redo my intro.
1.) Favorite Anime.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Hellsing
Golden Boy
One Piece
Fist of the North Star
Azumanga Daioh
Yotsubato (When it does become an Anime, AND IT WILL.)
Death Note
Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad
Chrono Crusade
Ouran High School Host Club
Ranma ½
Trigun
Tenchi Muyo
GTO
I like these because they are relevant to my interests, I find them entertaining, or they are educational (lol, golden boy)
2.) Anime that I dislike
I don't really dislike certain Anime, mostly just the people who like it. Naruto for example, average Anime, shit fanbase.

Then you'll get a kick out of the Futari Ecchi comics. Step-up Sex love story with written and drawn instructions, anyone?

Turned off by the fans that make a series look bad huh. I bet it was the same case that made me steer clear from Pokemon as a whole for a while until the games redeemed it (or more complex, either way you see it).
SO i was out at a bar tonight. They had a live Japanese band. The did a good performance of Haruka Kanata (It's one pf the Naruto opening songs). Somehow I remembered the words and sang along. The band gave me weird looks.
I feel like such a Narutard now.

It's just a song done by a good band. There's nothing wrong with it. <_<
I would even sing to anything done by Ichiro Mizuki.

So your interesting include school girls, teachers that like those girls, a group of boys that hosts those girls, and a boy that become a girl....interesting.
Just kidding, besides the Yotsubato (which if it is as good as Azumanga I will watch WHEN it comes out), Beck (which I've never seen), and Death Note (which I know ALL about, despite never reading/watching it), I've seen all those animes and like them.
Kick ass list! Now go watch Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers Try and every OVA/Movie! It will please us.

You forgot Lost Universe to complete the set.
(And in during Jesus Yamato spam)

Well...about that series. It was ok, with plenty of Slayers relations, but didn't seem up to par with Slayers. I was going to wait until he watched everything before bringing it up...just to complete the whole set.
Like Tenchi Muyo. There are a bunch of different OVAs, canons, and movies, including GXP, which has Dual tie-ins, though some people are not fans of certain ones. I think Tenchi in Tokyo is a least favorite for some people.
Watching Tenchi on Cartoon Network is tricky, cus they seemed to not always show them in order. So in a week you could see 3 different versions of how the characters met each other and not know what the hell is going on.
Big surprise to me when I got some DVDs (Ryo Ohki OVA) and found out that the swimsuits weren't originally there!

But the label "Narutard" is far worse than /m/-tard, silly.
Finished JJBA. Dio was pretty cool. Which fighting game has him with the red hair, dropping the steamroller, throwing knives, and going WRYYYY? Was it for the dreamcast?
The fight against the water stand made me think of Tremors.
s-CRY-ed similarity?

When I get into an anime, I sing the theme song when it is on.
