At points, I find that hard to believe but at others I find it believable. And was that thread in General? I rarely look there anymore because I find it to be quite hard to find a reasonable thread.

Barry is actually a major character in the series, reduced to a throwaway villain in the anime.

Kamon was around for like all of five pages in FLCL, but he stole the fucking show in the anime. Every second of him on-screen is sheer bliss.

Oh man, epic victory.

Kashimashi has not been dubbed, which means my ears shall be spared from disappointment by a cast inferior to the original Japanese.

I can only imagine how annoying Jan-Puu would have been in English...

You read it wrong.

The series is already out on DVD in North America, with no dub. The series will not be dubbed to appeal to both purists and cheapasses (the price of the discs are much lower).

Also, the latest "Shelf Obsessed" makes my collection seem small and insignifcant.

So I started watching Rizelmine. I don't know if I will watch it past the first season though. But for anyone who likes ridiculously cute 12 year old girls who are in love with a guy who like older women, and she keeps doing stuff to please him/get close to him, then you might like it. Oh, and she cries Nitroglycerin.

Like...this for example:

That is fucking insane.

I now must watch this series. It sounds quite relevant to my interests....

I can't.

Local shop has the manga, so I shall snag it soon.

Sucks that the two seasons of the anime haven't been licensed....

Interesting. Sci Fi Channel is showing Noein, then Tokko, then Macross Plus. Guess they got tired of the horrible movies they make. I'm looking at you! Ice Spiders!

Much agreed, even on our worst days we don't have half the bullshit the rest of the site does.

That'd be my fault really. As Matt and Kuro can tell you, I despise General and everything in it. I worked long and hard to keep their bullshit out of my thread. Believe me, this club used to be bad.

Also, people seem confused by my position in this club in relation to the other authority figures. I outrank them. If they step out of line, I correct them. They take care of day-to-day shit that I don't have time too. This is how it works in the military.

Also, as God-King, I rule by my own divine right. it's a pretty sweet deal.

Is it really post-apocalyptic? I thought s-CRY-ed just took place on a future upheaval of land near Tokyo. It's true that they don't really mention anywhere outside of Japan, but I figured it's because only people born on or around the Lost Ground could use Alter powers. Then again, Martin Zigmarl is an American, and he's the first and the oldest known Alter user.

Somewhere around a week ago they showed Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society which blew me the fuck away. I had already seen the movie but to see the SciFi channel playing it was just crazy.

Hopefully we'll see more anime played on it relating to sci fi themes.

Which series would you suggest to the Sci-fi channel? For some reason, I'm thinking Silent Möbius, although I believe TechTV used to show it in their "Anime Unleashed" program block (before G4 bought them out).

Yup, in the manga, he was killed. Which was rather lame. Also in the manga, there only time you saw Commander Amarao and Kitsurubamiwas in a one panel cameo. Its kinda weird when the Anime has a better story then the Anime, and FLCL is one of the rare exception.

Oh trust me, I remember. Before I became Fuhrer, I was a member off and on for a few years, this place used to be a mess.

Well I would suggest Betterman...but it was also shown on Anime Unleashed. I say show Monster Rancher! Though the games are way better than the series. How about bringing Mon Cole Knights out of the Saturday morning block and putting it on Sci Fi, though it may be for too young of an audience.

They should at least show Endless Waltz sometime.

Oh, maybe Witch Hunter Robin could work.

More yes.

WHR is the most underrated series ever, and it'd fit in quite well with the rest of the network's programming.

Vampires and monsters aren't sci-fi at all. Horror, motherfucker, different genre.

I just realized something....

All but one of my Winamp skins is anime-related, about 40% of my music is J-Pop and/or anime OSTs. Not to mention the fact that my desktop is normally anime-themed.

I need help.

No, but I must say that would be quite odd.

I've been an anime fan for as long as I can remember. My favorite is...I can't decide. Probably Trigun. Favorite manga would be either Alien 9 or Chobits. I'm currently reading Negima!
