Not trying to sound noobish with this but that one Super Robot show is an Anime right? I see it as one, but I feel that there is a key difference.

Which 'one' Super Robot show are you referring to?

And in advance:

The majority of Super Robots are characterised by their absence of explained technology or weaponary, in which the majority of them are melee-based or close-ranged such as Mazinger Z's Breast Fire, Getter 1's Getter Beam, Daitarn3's Sun Attack and GaoGaiGar's Goldion Hammer.

It is noted and clear that this is a generalisation, and a better way to define a 'Super Robot' would be the design of the machine and their 'realism' in question.

And I was referring to what you seemed to have misinterpreted. I'm talking about Super Robot Hyper Team Monkey Force Go! I think that's the name.

The ending is bloody obvious, everyone who matters knows it long before seeing the film.

The movie sucked anyway.

Why didn't you tell me this sooner. Now I have to wait until it's released on DVD July 3. At least I haven't missed the premiers of Noein, Tokko, and Macross Plus.

Hush, child.

Haruhi may not be the best (I don't know if it'd even make my top ten, despite its awesomeness) but it's a great deal better than 99% of this decade's anime.

What a shock....

Old anime > new garbage, it's not just your opinion, it's a fucking fact.

There are still great films, series and OVAs being produced these days, but the classics just plain best the vast majority of modern stuff.

Too many series just feel like slight variations of previous series (sometimes improvements, but usually sad attempts at trumping the other one's success).

Also, the harem and romantic comedy genres need a real kick in the balls. Harem anime sucks and romantic comedies are far too common. For every Kashimashi, there are a million second-rate series that feel like a rehash of the same crap we've seen in every other show in the genre.

You mean the Ghost in the Shell movie? If so than I'm gonna get it too! From what pieces I've seen of it, it looks like it takes place after 2nd Gig.

And also who thinks that Super Robot Monkey Team thing I was talking about earlier is generic? The show as a whole doesn't seem to be to me.

I liked Domingue (sp?). The way he said Master kicked ass. They actually did have some blood in the introduction movie, but Cartoon Network quickly put an end to that. I bet the guy in charge of the series (I think he did Dexter's Laboratory) was really aggravated that he had to make his character mostly fight robots. HIGH FIVE!

All right then...... you must answer these to join.

1. Your five favorite animes and a sentence or two about each of them.

2. What got you into anime?

3. What kinds of anime do you dislike?

Can't really say top five because i only watched 6,7 animes so far and all of them are good for me. But i'll list them according to my favourites.

1. One Piece
Typical action-comedy anime, but this was my first anime so it's sorta like a special show to me.

2. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Episode 1 was the weirdest opening ever.. Until i saw it in the correct order.

3. Death Note
The middle is kinda boring.. The first few episodes were the best.

4. Saishuheiki Kanojo
If they actually try explain a few things about the characters.. especially Chise, i would not be so reluctant while watching it.

5. Grave of the Fireflies
No idea whether this is an anime or just a movie.. but really a sad one.

Animes that im still watching is Ergo Proxy, Last EXILE, Innocent Venus, Rozen Maiden, Ichigo 100%, Chobits and Bleach.

I guess boredom is what got me into anime today. One day my friend handed me a copy of One Piece and i was addicted.

Animes i dislike? Currently none.
