There is a show which makes WRITING and POTATO CHIP EATING epic, how ridiculous can tennis action get?
Never liked that show. The best show on my channel now is bo bo bo bo bo bobo, best satire ever. Although the manga is much better.

I never watched that show, basically because of the name and previews I have seen. Maybe if I heard good things about it I will watch it, but I haven't yet.

Got myself a bottle of Steaz Lemon Dew, a big bag of sea-salted Lays and I'm currently watching some Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I also plan on watching some anime, but I've no idea what out of my collection to watch...probably watch an episode or two of Hellsing, and then move on to something a bit lighter.

I spent my Cinco de Mayo watching the first few episodes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with my good friends Corona and José Cuervo...

Sorry to get off-topic about the issue right now, but what is the deal with Black Cat's(the anime) titles? They always have "cat" in them! Does the title writer have a cat fetish of some sort, because I'm not sure how many more titles with "cat" in them can be made.

What the shit?
It is just a stylising of the title, much like how some series call 'episode' something else such as Phase, Karte, File, Book, etc...

Hoshit, I think I just rofled. xD

Yesh, they try to make everything epic in Death Note. It's absolutely hilarious.

The funny thing is, though, that it works. Some of the stuff is pretty epic in presentation, simply because of the way they did it. ^^

Oh, plenty of animes, cartoons, and even live-action shows have done that.

Examples:

"Friends" - Every show (except first and last) starts with "The one..." such as, "The One with the Embryos."

"Bonus Stage" - link Every season, he would put a new theme to his titles, such as all of them starting with the letter "f" or all having "cur" somewhere in them.

It's all up to the author and producers of the show what they want to do with it, but usually, putting some sort of recurring theme into the titles makes the show more able to be memorized, slightly. Plus, it usually adds a certain degree of humore to it, thinking of ways they could put other titles into that scheme, such as what you were thinking.

That's the whole damn point of making it animated, so there is something worth more than just watching an animated version of a series.

Voices and (possibly) higher detailed representations are just part of an animated version of a series. I am not forgetting the drawbacks such as QUALITY or even the risk of filler-induction, but it's something not worth ignoring this time around.

Damn straight...

Gurren Lagann is pretty much the "must watch" show of this season much in the same manner that Code Geass was "must watch" of last season. Both shows are of a pretty much equal caliber of awesomeness.

You haven't watched Code Geass either? Shame on you!

I will admit that I won't watch a show unless other people says it's "awesomesauce", but more often than not, I do have enough sense to watch the show while it is still being broadcasted.

I've never religiously watched a mahou shojou series before so I have had my reservations about watching Nanoha, but tons of people have urged me to cast my doubts and give it a try, so I will.

Random question out of boredom: What order would you put the GaoGaiGar (and every ova) openings in from great to greatest?

I would say: GaoGaiGar (Robot Corps) < GaoGaiGar Final < GaoGaiGar (original/last) < GaoGaiGar Final Grand Glorious Gathering.

OH TEH NOZZORZZ!

Kasimasi is one of the best anime ever to come out, simply because of how the story progressed without hardly any filler to support it, and a satifying conclusion. I absolutely love that.

Then why do you keep trying to lead the club? Or change whatever rules you don't feel like you should follow?

Also, what the hell do you know about alcohol, or sex? Every weekend I'm not working, I get so goddamn drunk I forget how to speak English like an American, and revert to Scottish. Then I waste $300 on a high class tea house whore. I should just get myself a Japanese girlfriend. It'd be cheaper.

Geez, why does 97% of this club hate the founder? Honestly, he started the most popular thread on newgrounds, be a bit nicer to him.

If you want a history lesson, I think I could write up a quick overview, but I'm gonna need to know there's interest in such a thing. I'd forgotten that Tink put me in charge of the history department here... :S

I have no idea why Starks is hated HERE, but on 'FAQs, he's hated for being one of the largest attention whores. Ever.

That said, I don't personally hate him. I think he's a decent guy... below all the dressing.
