psyko, if you think the anime sucks... read the manga, it goes beyond the anime and enters a new level of suckage.

Forgive me for double posting, but I just caught up, and have had alcohol. Lots of it.

Kouga, where the fuck do you get off on telling me that I have to address your authority? You have opnely admitted that you have none. When you left the club for the first time, it was for a goddamn year, and tink and I (y'know the people who were running this place) decided that you didn't have any. SHE gave you back some power against my recommendations. Every fucking time you come back here, it's the same shit. it's always around the clubs birthday, or whenever you have time off from school. I'm here fucking constantly. Even in motherfucking Iraq, I was still posting and leading here. Not to full effect, but I was keeping order and making plans for when I got out of that goddamn hellhole. All you do is show up every few fucking months, complain about shit, and try to fucking overthrow me. It never fucking works. You say I'm running this place to the ground? How have we gotten over 14,000 pages? You haven't been here for most of it. Our membership is on the fucking rise again. We talk about anime more diversely than we ever did than when you were around and this was basically a fucking Inuyasha retard thread. Remember why I overthrew you in the first place? Because you were fucking lazy and had no interest in here. You thrust all the goddamn jobs you didn't want onto me, and I took it all until I couldn't anymore. Now I do almost everything by my-fucking-self, and I have no problem with this because there's no one who shares my rank. You wasnt to talk about cronyism? What was this place like when it was you, Tink, Inuyasha, and Miroku? There was nothing but cronyism in those days. I don't hide a fucking thing from the members. You kept everything secret. If you hate this club so much now, then stop coming back. Your bi-annually bitch sessions do nothing but piss me, and most of the older members, off. Your options are to either suck it up like someone with a goddamn penis, or stop coming here.

As a long time member, I don't appreciate the way both parties handled that last dispute. Being an authority figure isn't a license to be an asshole; in fact, being an authority figure ENTITLES you to be accommodating and reasonable to all members of this club.

I don't take sides, but I will say one thing on this recent torrent of bullshit: Starks didn't start anything this time around, he posted something totally inert, only to be flamed by Gendo. Good job.

Internet tough guys fuck off.

And Kouga turned it into an argument about the leadership here. Just like he always fucking does.

I'm just tired of people of lashing out me when I pop in even when I don't provoke it.

Wonko, also I see little good in bringing this club off topic again after things calmed down. If it makes you happy, I admit that I responded Gendo's initial response to the "Drifting Classroom" post in a less than productive manner.

Kouga, you have a history of doing this, the only chance you had of being in the right was out the window as soon as you brought up Wonko. Gendo made a wry-ass comment, perhaps uncalled for, but you should have limited your address to him and you're original topic: "Drifting Classroom."

Just be silent about this issue, please, you're only making things worse... consistently.

Precisely, I'll full-well admit the whole Drifting Class remark was made because I was pissed off and shouldn't have been made. But he just had to be a cunt and start an unrelated argument that lasted pages upon pages.

Starks, you're making thinks worse by refusing to shut up, leave.

I have an update:

My anime game library has grown by one title - Robotech: The Macross Saga for the Game Boy Advance. However, since I've never been that good at side-scrolling shooters, I can't seem to make it past the first level with any of the characters. Ben Dixon can get to the boss battle and everyone but Max Sterling can make it about halfway through before I run out of lives.
I've seen Cosplay Complex and the first two episodes of Onegai Teacher, but I've been missing a lot of programs from Anime Network On Demand. I still stand a good chance of seeing Utewarerumuno, Papuwa, and maybe Jinki: Extend in their entirety, but every other series will have to be added to my incredibly long queue.
My recent manga acquisitions are Enchanter, which kicks ass, and School Rumble, which isn't as good as it seemed when I thumbed through it in the bookstore. If you know of any good new harem manga titles, please let me know.
I'm also looking forward to the new anime movie, Paprika. Unfortunately, it doesn't hit theaters in the US until May 25.

What's that about? I've heard of it from random people, but no one really told me the plot.

God fucking damnit.
I thought I'd found a way to get things to calm down around here. And then this new little war springs up.
Wonko, Kouga, whoever the fuck else is interested in arguing, kindly take it to AIM or PMs or something. This club is called the Anime Club, not the Debate Crew or the Flame War Armada. So I think we should quit debating over leadership, quit flaming one another, and talk about...ANIME.
Kouga, that's interesting, though. There's actually more filler in the manga than in the anime or something? You'd think pulling THAT off would be like breaking the laws of physics, time, and space in one fell swoop.

Uh...the one that has naked girls having sex in it.

And psykolord, what the hell? Things calmed down starting with Trivia's post....

Maybe people shouldn't be argueing at 3 in the fucking morning! ...or anytime before at least 7. (Not counting Wonko because I don't know timezone of where he is/parents)

Ok! Uhnoesanoob with your anime update of the day! If you looked at the general forum, you will see 4kids has given up rights for one piece to FUNmation. So now we will jut have a less crappy dub instead of a really crappy dub! Also, Rumiko Takahashi has moved! To a cage.... in my basement....untill she brings Ranma back ;_;

What annoys me is, that the Anime ended too soon. The manga I love, cause it has a good open ending, but the Anime's ending is just the effect of a low budget.

I am into Detective Conan now, cause it is the funniest muder show around.

Response to Anime Club 2007-04-13 21:52:01

the manga ending isn't grate either. i was expecgting for ryoga to be with Ukyo(fuck Akari), Mousee with Shampoo, Ranma with Akane, Kodachi with Tatewaki

Agreed.

Kodachi with Tatewaki

Incest ftw.

Also, too lazy to post pics, for Jim and Shane are here and we're quite preoccupied.

Me and Jim had to walk through driving hail for an hour and a half to get groceries, and Shane was stuck at church for five hours, so he showed up late.

We all spent around two hours admiring the Akane statue and it's "fine detail" (no joke), then Shane said something about not really being into Akane. Even the savage beating we gave him (Jim and I are oldschool Rumiko Takashi fanboys, and incredibly defensive of all her pre-Inuyasha works) couldn't convince him. Poor boy needs to wise up, Akane-chan > all.

As I type this, the other two are playing Samurai Warriors 2: Empires and then we'll kick back and watch Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer.

Hey, guys. I figger'd I'd pop in and join, since I'm basically an anime freak. Fucking love Dattebayo, watched up to the current naruto shipuuden (9) and I've been slacking off a little on bleach.

Watched all of Love Hina, and Chobits. Probably gonna start watching another anime soon, I need something to do. Any suggestions?

Good to hear, just post your ten favorite animes and your favorite character of the same gender as you and you're in.

Any suggestions?

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu ftw. It's crazy-good.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS!*
Speaking of crazy-good, Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer was a real slap-in-the-face compared to the manga, TV series and first film. The radical shift in tone (light-hearted comedy to surreal drama? What the fuck, Oshii?!) is a bit jarring (especially to folks like me who are so used to just sitting down and getting a few little chuckles out of a UY story), but the film overall is still funny (Third Reich theme cafes= best joke ever) and has a complex and twisty plot that requires you to pay attention and think. A definite 10/10.

Sort of like Groundhog Day (another one of my favorite films) except unbelievably weird and much more crazy psuedo-scientific as opposed to feel-good life lesson. If Nietzsche was an anime writer/director, he'd be Mamoru Oshii.
* END SPOILERS!*
