Sounds good. ^^
Does this count as a 7- word post? Not anymore. ^^

Fucking right, I love that goddamn song.

That being said, I don't think there's a single Ranma 1/2-related song I don't like.

I decided to start watching the series in order as opposed to an episode here or there when bored, I'm now up to episode three. It's an amazing series.

That, IMO, is one of the funniest scenes in the history of anime. I laughed myself to tears the first time I saw it.

At 3/4/07 03:59 PM, Seijii wrote: 12?

13, actually.

They better make more...

They are....in the form of 40+ minute OVAs.

Unless they're like... 1 hour episodes.

No, but the OVAs (as mentioned above) will be around that length.

That just sucks... Naruto has 150+ episodes and 3 movies. That's awesome.

Hardly, Naruto was good for around 70 episodes, and then the rest , minus a few brief filler arcs that focused on the less important (and thusly much more awesome) characters, was ignorable garbage.

I can't vouch for the quality of the movies, because I've never seen them.

A long-running structure wouldn't have fit Hellsing, because the manga isn't all that lengthy(eight of a proposed ten volumes have been written) and the plot wouldn't be able to endure with unnecessary filler. I mean, how many times can Alexander Anderson show up to almost kill Alucard and then get his ass kicked?

Response to Anime Club 2007-03-04 17:18:06

Well, that means the average total runtime of hellsing is... Cool, 120 minutes.
Alot of naruto is filler junk... But I still like the fillers in that series. They even had a 30 minute filler in the 1st naruto movie. It wasn't a part of the movie but the screen selection starts off at it.

***SPOILER***
It was a konaha track meet pretty much. The story was that naruto had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad. Every time he tried to go, something went wrong. The first time, there was a neverending line of all the naruto characters that are adults. (except kakashi) Next time, he was heading toward a porta-potty, right when he was about to, chouji did the huge ball thing and destroyed them all. Then, shino, (the bug guy) was in the normal bathroom. He used his shadow clone jutsu to find an empty bathroom. Shino was so quiet, naruto didn't know he was in there until he saw the bar on the door that said vacant. Shino came out and blocked him, then carried him back to the track field in a cucoon of flying bugs.
***END SPOILER***

I thought it was the movie but then I checked the next one and it was. I found the movie in the comic book store, I bet any naruto fan would love it.
It goes forward in the american manga story though, so sasuke already knows the lightning blade and naruto knows the rasengan. I wish I could do the rasengan...

There still is the prequel The Dawn stuff they could show. I wouldn't mind seeing a spinoff series that is set a couple hundred years later, starring Seras Victoria set in a futuristic world. There could be guess appearances from Alucard...and...gasp!...a female descendant of Alexander Anderson! Maybe her and Victoria could be partners, in one of those love-hate relationships, because they need each other's help to beat some enemy...maybe improved Freaks (cus it is the future!)..but there still is that animosity between the two because of who they are.

Just think what Harkonen XIII would be like!

No, the complete series runs for exactly 325 minutes, your math skills must be really bad.

13 X 25 = 325

I used the comp's calculator... I accidentally put in 3 x 40. not 13.

Response to Anime Club 2007-03-04 17:30:34

The first Naruto movie had some good scenes...but overall it was kind of boring, though you got to see ANBU Kakashi, which is always a plus. Speaking of which, is the new Naruto series going to show Kakashi Gaiden?
Also got to play as Doto in Narutimate Hero 2, which wasn't too bad.

The second Naruto movie was much better...mainly because the sand ninjas were involved.

Third one looks kind of goofy, but I haven't seen it and don't plan to.

I am definitely getting Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel when it comes out. Narutimate Hero 2 was fun, Narutimate Hero 3 was sweet, and if they keep making them better, then Accel will be awesome, since it is 4th in the series.

I can't read japanese either besides the symbol for ninja. Who likes Tenchu? I heard a rumor a while ago that they were making a show about it. I don't think that's true though... I would watch that 24/7 if they did make one.

I <3 Rikimaru!

Yes, especially the original and Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven.

My god; has the club really has gone to filler hell with stupid blurbs.

I started watching it after being introduced it by a friend of mine who liked school related humor and nostalgia.

Quoting EN, it's "The most fun one can have with a bunch of schoolgirls without getting arrested."

Hardly, Naruto was good for around 70 episodes, and then the rest , minus a few brief filler arcs that focused on the less important (and thusly much more awesome) characters, was ignorable garbage.

The only 'good' filler arcs that resemble the kind from decades ago would be single gag episodes that help 'space' the not-so-directly related story arcs.

And for those who are well aware of the fact that only one such episode in Naruto qualifies the conditions, good. I meant it.

...

I have just finished Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu earlier today, and would be moving on to watching the Black Jack OVA. Epic art and story is Epiiiiiiiiiiiiic, unlike example shown below, sadly:

Hahaha, that should be the fucking tagline on the DVD box if ADV goes for a triple-dip and reissues the complete series again.

They're awesome! You go around in Wrath of Heaven as Rikimaru (male) or Ayame. (female)
You can do stealth kills on people and animals... Depending if you come from above, from the side, from the front, or from the back, you do a different one. Although, I like Fatal Shadows more because the stealth kills look better and you can move dead bodies once you kill them. I have an ayame figure too somewhere around my room. XD

Tesshu is a secret character, and not really relevant to the plot, so it's not spoiling anything.

Or when they also include the Azumanga Recycle book with little snipets of art by Azuma.

Really? Did you enjoy it?

The last "chronological" episode (a.k.a Haruhi Order?) is probably my favourite way to end such a series in order to give it continuity. Similar to a "The insanity continues!" kind of feel.

Hahaha, classic.

You don't HAVE to be stealthed, it's just suggested so you:
1- don't kill yourself
2- get new items and a good rating on the mission

You could consider it a 3d free fighting game if you don't use stealth.

Plus this is an anime club, so video games and the such can be spoiled all they want. But yeah..secret/unlockable characters aren't really spoilers. Saying one of the main good guys that you've been playing along side of for the whole is actually one of the main bad guys would be a spoiler.

I'm looking at you Magic the Gathering: Masquerade Cycle
