I find it funny that you'd never be able to defeat anyone without Tetsuiga, at leasy not strong demons.
Look at the battle between Inuyasha and Miroku in episode 16: The mystical hand of the amourous monk. Who do you think would've won if Kagome hadn't interfered? Remember that fight was when you had the Tetsuiga and you still would've died:P

Remember the fight with Goshinki... Miroku, you're alot safer if he holds onto that sword!

I know without kagome i would have died i million times by now.
