I have just heard that bush is trying to get rid of anime
it's unconstitutional.
Thank God I was not sure if it was wrong or not but can you please update my name to shadow_reborn?

we mostly talk about anime (that's why it's called anime club) and and manga
Here's everything anime-related that happened to me in the recent past...
-Finished work on me and my friend's costumes for this Otaku meet-up/picnic on the 20th, going as Mugen and Jin from Champloo. Buying myself dye for my mustache and hair raped my wallet and now I am unable to afford all the crazy Evangelion merch our local manga store just got in. Damn $40 Rei figurines....
-Got really nostalgic last night after discussing my otaku origins with a friend...at 3:00 AM. We blathered about everything from Sailor Moon(which was a guilty pleasure of mine for about seven years) to Video Girl Ai(the first manga I'd ever read) and even branched off into a rant about Street Sharks(jawsome!), and that inevitably lead to a discussion about Those Who Hunt Elves(for more of the Street Sharks/TWHE connection, watch the first episode of TWHE).

speaking of manga are do you guys know of any good stores that sell manga (whether it be online or an actual store)because I am going to buy some soon (any store I don't care if it is out of my state which is Texas)

Sure, just list your top 10 anime and a character of your same gender to represent you. Click "Club" in my sig to see a list of already taken characters.

I buy most of my manga from Borders, just look at a local bookstore and they might have something. I won't be anything special most likely. My bookstore only sells manga from VIS and Toykopop. Anyone know where I can get manga online that hasn't been translated yet (PM me because we shouldn't put urls on the the forums (I don't know if that is breaking the rules)).

I usually buy my manga at Hairy Tarantula in Downtown Toronto. It's the best place to buy manga. I also get manga from Indigo, Chapters, and the Library.
I watched the first episode of Fate-Stay Night, looks promising. I also watched some of the Sorcerer Hunters OVA...but it was in like german with no subs, so I only glimpsed at it...doesn't look to bad either. I atleast saw what is ecchi in the series.
From Fate-Stay Night:

I order Manga online, and buy it at Coles, and The Book Bin.

I can now understand why you ruled this club with a cruel iron fist... Benevolence was never your priority. You paraded around like the dictator you were and pretended that you were the last bastion of sanity left in this club. Noone would ever want you as leader again because of this.
No Mother Fucking Way....
I just finished this long post about me and anime, and also a bit on the current club situation..and i hit "Post It!" and closed out two other websites i had up...
AND ALL of the DAMN webpages closed, before this one posted. FUCKING Firefox and FUCKING youtube.
Basic summary...
Getting orphen, sorcerer, fate-night. they are all similar. Then i decided on orphen for some reasons. What does it mean to "run this club" or "keep it steady?". Just asking to change/add a rule won't do anything in the end. This club has been running fine recently with normal members handling things. S-Cry-ed has gotten better. Don't like kazum's last alter face cover. why does he have part hair color change and wierd arm, whily Ryuho doesnt. Link to AMV relating to Orphen comment...
Even a BITCH to summarize...

I know how you feel. I couldn't get my hands on even one Eva DVD because it was too damn expensive. Although there was one oppurtunity. I was at Power Anime on Father's day. I took a little side track and checked out the Eva stuff they had. They had the full ep platinum series, for only (belive it or not)$ 72.95 plus tax. I had a little over $75 and wanted to get it. But then I had to spend it on my Dad's gift. So, I kissed the package goodbye, and sternly marched out, teary-eyed.
I got a giftcard to Newbury comics for my birthday (which was waay back in may) that i should probably use. plan on buying some manga, in the mood for something different. any ideas ona good series for me to check out?

I don't think he was pretending. He really was the last bastion of sanity in the past and I believe he still is.
Noone would ever want you as leader again because of this.
And where do you get off speaking for everyone? I know ya don't speak for me, because I still believe in Wonko.
Yay bold.

Well, there's this place called Power Anime. Those guys have like everything. Another option is Waldenbooks, but sometimes their selection is limited.

If you live in LA, then it's located in the Westside pavilion.

I get most off my anime from Netflix you could probably see most of them in a little while, you won't be able to keep them (I don't know if that is why you want them,) but you should be able to see all of them in a decent amount of time.

Yeah that was an option once, but my comp security isn't that high for internet transactions. Yes I do have intentions of keeping the DVD's. Oh well, I'll just buy it next time.
