God, you have cool parents. My mother hates manga with a passion, ever since I first started reading Ranma 1/2(when I was ten years old, for the record) she's rambled on about all the "nudity, violence and other immoral tripe" in the manga I read. Then again, she also found my English translated copies of Koroshiya Ichi(which was banned in certain areas of Japan shortly after its release) vols 1 and 2, so she has reason to find manga offensive.

I have all kinds of manga with all the manga rating except All Ages. That's one I'll get my brother some day so that I can get him hooked on manga.

P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if 'Q' and 'R' were eliminated.

Yes, officer, he does bite.

I've now decided my next anime-related purchase will be all seven seasons of Ranma 1/2, anyone have a thousand bucks they'd be willing to loan me?

Here's a better question... Did you watch Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)?
Finally, someone who is keeping up on this season's great anime in this club. Haruhi's voice actor is awesome, she sings the opening, ending, and sings another actual rock song that takes place during the series. Plus her default voice sounds nowhere near her voice acting voice. That is real legit vocal talent.

( Btw, This is Ranma )

Yeah, I loved that show!
I agree that the voice acting was great and you should watch it in airing order, then cronological.

I'd rather buy than rent, and I'm too lazy to keep up with things like monthly membership fees, not to mention too broke.
I'll just keep searching eBay for used copies and bargains....

I would also suggest signing up for netflix. They have alot of animes and its really easy. I used to buy my crap off ebay but I had no idea of the condition or quality of the DVD.

True, I may reconsider Netflix, but eBay has yet to burn me. Everything I've bought thus far has been reasonably priced and of great quality.

that some what true, alot of people most of time will sell new or like brand new condition, just as long as you take care of tape, plus I don't buy anime, I rent it or barrow it from a friend, why do I need to waste my money on something I problay will watch once or twice and then let it rot on my movie case, like the rest of my dvd's and vhs?
watching anime ok, but reading it is much more better,

I finished getting the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya...only took 24:43:14, pretty good considering it is 14 episodes. Luckily lots of people wanted it too. I was planning on watching it at work, since i have to be there for four hours, but since it is a little over 5 and a half hours i guess i'll have to finish it up at home.

And i just thought this was a cool wallpaper:

Well, I was watching a channel called Razer the other day. And they were playing Anime. Trinity Blood, Basilisk, and Samurai 7. That was the last channel I'd suspect would play Anime.

They're also playing Samurai 7 on IFC as well.

Is the Anime of Basilist any good?
I've only read the mangas so far and I think they're pretty good.

I have a question. Are there still new episodes of Inuyasha? If so, Tuesday night, right?

I just finished watching the Melancholy of Haruki Suzumiya. It was pretty good, the whole non-chronological episode order made the series even more interesting.

This was one of the funnier scenes:
