At least a month ago, I was watching Castle in the Sky on TCM, but I fell asleep. It wasn't boring, I was just really tired. I woke up pissed the next morning because I had never seen the movie before, and I still haven't seen the whole thing yet. >:(

In final news its my birthday. 18 years today. So yay and such.

I don't know if anyone remembers me but i was a former member of the anime club.

My 5 favorite animes are;
1 .hack//sign
2 tenjho tenge
3 Noir
4 GTO
5 Ikki tosen
I would like to be Slayer from Guilty Gear XX. ( if possible)

i have a question concerning an anime based game. Does anyone have any info about the game Cowboy bebop for the PS2. i'm trying to get a hold of Bandai and namco (since they merged into one company) to see if they have any info about the game but i might not get much out of them.

ok here i go
Kronik: jungle de ikou is alright theres lots of dirty humor, fanservice and music. its not the best anime i've seen but its good in its own way, it has a good story and no theres no nudity, I really wish I had the dvd verison so i can hear all the tunes they play in japanese, I have the english verison on VHS.

mr trivia: I plan on seeing all the movies on toonami i've already seen spirited away when they first showed it on cartoon networks fridays.

to anyone who likes FULL METAL
I don't know if adult swim is airing the same episodes here every where else in the country but anyway, while I was at adult swims website I was looking for the episode I missed and I found out that the last episode of FMA is airing this weekend, (Sigh) yet another good anime is going to end

PS INUYASHA fans I also hear that the anime series should be ending pretty soon also
:(

There are around 167 episodes of anime, but the manga continues to over 300 volumes if memory serves me right. Ranma 1/2 is the same way.

Yeah, but I bet after a while the Manga Ranma 1/2 series will sooner or later start to suck.

The only Anime I've ever been into is Gundam Wing, a bit of Inuyasha and the Saiyan and Cell sagas of Dragonball Z.
I love Samurai Deeper Kyo though.

I understand which you mean, but there's a remote chance people would mistake it for the "Full Metal Panic!" series if it was not for your description.

What is with all the "Full Metal" anime's that have sprung up within the past couple years? Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Panic came out at roughly the same time to each other, but weren't related at all. Weird.

I think the Full Metal Jacket reference is more prevelant in Full Metal Panic though because of the storyline following a soldier ( plus his military comrades )

I scoff at the coincidence theory. I say the damnable japanese are trying to confuse us forgeiners. it's a plot I say. And Full Metal Jacket was about marines, not soldiers. it makes a difference when you are a Marine.

What about the comics? I am unsure which of they two came first, though Full Metal Panic seems to be more aged than Fullmetal Alchemist (Possibly the art style which makes me feel so).

WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS!!!! series finale edition

well its been a good show but its finally over. the full metal alchemist anime series is over, what I dislike about the ending of the series is all the questions left unanswered like how did edward end up in munich germany after rescuing al's body from the gate? and how al can't remember anything from the past four years of the journey( he can only remember everything before he lost his body after the accident), and how will ed and al meet again? I hate it when creator's make a confusing ending. well now that series is over adult swim is probaly going to restart the series to episode one. and then after it ends again they'll take it off the air just like any other anime series they've shown
cough* blue gendar* cough* trigun and super milk chan* cough* oh excuse me

I outta kick your ass for calling them "comics." FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY'RE CALLED "MANGA"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In other words Japanese style graphic novels!!!

As I ought to counter you with the fact that the Japanese use the word "Manga" for all types of comics, regardless of style and origin.

Actually, they did. Mithril is an independent military medium specialising in international counter-terrorism acts. I believe they get their funding from more than one country.

on one hand they all operate out of a sub and then are launched or dropped off from there, but the characters all pretty much do land operations and ..... pilot mecha. They might just be special forces... meh its anime.

I'll go with Special Forces, given their equipment type and training.

hooray! Happy 3 year anniversary.

I saw "Versus" by Ryuhei Kitamura with a friend this weekend. It was pretty good. It was an odd movie with a strange use of humor. I read that it's a sequel to "Down to Hell". Is that true?

Are we talking about the same Full Metal Jacket? Private Pile? R. Lee Ermey as a Drill Instructor? Vietnam? "me so horney, me love you long time?" Anyway, every branch of service has special forces. The marines are just the only ones who do land, sea, and air...and ....giant mecha??? the Army special forces don't do subs. the Navy special forces love to swim, and the Air Force special forces jump from airplanes. the MArines do all.

Oh, and I have no clue who your new character is, nor do I care what your username is. You'll always be Kouga to me. Just like Tink is always Kagome, and there's two Inuyasha's. And Miroku can never be replaced. Even if he is dead. And Trivia is Shippou. Aasha is Mihoshi. Though she appears to be dead too. And Red is just fucked up.

Damn. I've said it before but, there was too many Inuyasha fans who joined this club when it was founded.

P.S. For those who remember: Smurf!

Ugh. In just the past week (the past like two days, really) I've added Full Metal Alchemist and Narutaru to the animes which I've seen all of. Incidentally, Narutaru fucking rocks. Enough said. These people aren't afraid to kill off little kids or mention things that are a bit "adult."

***EGADS SPOILERS KEEP THE CHILDREN AWAY***

And even better, they aren't afraid to turn an eleven-year-old girl into a psychopath, or have characters with suicidal tendencies, or have people actually fucking DIE. Speaking of the psychopath bit, I was really hoping Hiroko would live or something. But that's as impossible as wishing that the series had lasted thirteen more episodes.
Also, was it just me, or did it seem in Episode 12 like the bully girls raped Hiroko with that test tube? Cause that's the impression it gave me.

***END SPOILERS YOU CAN UNCOVER YOUR EYES NOW***

Seems like I'm watching a lot more anime lately that don't have "cut and dry" endings; that is, they don't flat-out close the series, more like just introduce the world a bit. Alien Nine and Narutaru are the two that come to mind when I think of this, since, well, neither really finished up with a big badass climactic confrontation (well, they DID have climaxes, but come on, they left a LOT of questions unanswered.)
