Sorry Wade, but I'm not changing my voting preferences just because you want me to vote something I don't feel. I'm part of the Star Syndicate. I wouldn't be in the Star Syndicate if I didn't enjoy their humor.
I vote 3 ways normally Under Judgment (and this will apply to many):
0 if it's blammable (and I don't find it funny)
2 if it's passable (but I hate it)
5 if I love it, or if it's so stupid it's hilarious (e.g. - Most of Star Syndicate's stuff and even some of Kitty Krew's and other groups).
Once it's out of judgment, I vote honestly (but the "so stupid it's hilarious" part still applies if I see it that way afterwards).
And by the way, I have whistled or 0ed Star Syndicate entries in judgment if they're particularly bad.
I rarely vote 1 or 3 or 4. That's just how the system has evolved. Maybe you should take an approach like Retrogade does and just get rid of the BP system so there's no incentive for people to build up their levels by not voting honestly.
And if it's a MINORITY voting 2 and above for these movies, then that implies that something is wrong with the system itself, not the users of that system. Right now, this system is like giving the politically educated 10 votes each, and the rich 5 votes each, and the poor one vote each. Who's at fault if the elite vote for a bad President because it benefits them while most vote against? I hope you're not apt to blame the elite, because they simply voted how they felt and the system benefitted them.
You don't have to like me, but I expect since you're an adult, you can understand what I'm saying here and be willing to take that point despite the individual posting it.
By the way, you know the funny part? The Star Syndicate exposes the problems in your system. They're actually doing you a service by making you aware so perhaps something can be changed for the better.
