I'm pretty sure he was alive when he filmed it. Otherwise those are some fucking amazing puppeteers.

Mother's Day
Is there any history to it? It just seems like a reason to sell cards/candy.

The women shot you out of a hole the size of a lemon when you were the size of a watermelon!
It's a celibration of "HOW DID YOU PUT UP WITH ME FOR THE FIRST 13 YEARS AND NOT KILL ME!?".
Kids suck for the first few years.

Yeah i really dont know either. I guess is just like a praise to them. Dunno.
"Future"
This really just popped up in my head as i was watching Back to The Future. Well our technologies(today) in the time they made this movie is supposed to be much more advanced then they actually are. IF anybody cant understand sorry idk how to word this right. But anyway, of course we have some pretty cool things in our life time but i just think the past was wrong. According to Back to the Future, they go to the year 2015 and theyre in the air with flying cars and air traffic =P.
Im just saying, either we're behind, or the past rushed us.

But do you think by the time its the year 3000 we'll have all the things that futurama has? or do you think we'll sprout wings before we have flying cars?

We'll never know anyway. =P
Btw.. mothers day was like in april wasnt it?

It varies regionally. So in the US its 2nd Sunday of May, whereas here its the forth Sunday of lent. I believe this is another case of you Americans getting it wrong. You introduced mothers day in the early 1900's due to a campaign. In the UK our date comes from something to do with Christianity.
Also, Fathers day is 'just made up'. It was brought in to make it fair and celebrate the men who parent too.

Do you really think the worlds going to still be going strong by then? I believe we could probably invented some of that wacky stuff pretty soon, although some are totally infeasible/impossible, but there are more important things to be inventing than flying cars and shit. Like alternative energy sources. Solving the problems of water/food shortage across the world.
Back to the future is a good film.
Personally I believe, to an extent, in something along the lines of The Club of Rome Theory, which is basically that as time goes on population, industry, pollution all increase. As it reaches catastrophe point where pollution is too high that people start choking and population, food and industry plummet. To go further, I'd say that the remaining population will adapt to the high pollution levels or something and society will rebuild again.
Although I also slightly believe in Gaia Atlas - that we, as a race (although this isn't believe at times) are clever and will work out a way to sustain life. After all, we are already starting to solve some major problems.
RE: Future
Hmm...I think of this from time to time...I think they're just rushing us. In 1950 or so, they made a movie that was supposed to be about 2000 (and the movie was called 2000...I think) and it was about us living in space and all of that, and they actually thought thats what was going to happen in 2000...but it didn't
BTW...Sorry i haven't been posting as much (probably a good thing to most of you) I just...haven't :D

2001 was made in '68. The book's better than the film.

I'm assuming you're randomly replying to my comment that heath ledger looks like an awesome joker. You're completely wrong... he will be awesome, strangely, I think my opinion is better than yours, we don't have much to go on though...previews, but when the movie comes out this will come up again. Also, he was a great actor, was, haha, morbid...
Well saying that your opinion is better is pretty ignorant. And i didn't say that he wasn't a great actor but i don't think that he was the right choice.

Anyone here a genius with Flade that could help me a bit in setting boundaries for a player?

I watched 10 Things I hate About You yesterday and every time Heath Ledger kissed somebody we would yell out "YOUR DEAD".
Ugh, it's sad, he was just a baby. It always sucks when young people die, especially since he was getting more and more popular with each new film that came out. Plus, he was such a dreamboat.

Yea I was being kind of sarcastic, who doesn't want to think their opinion is better than other people's? 90% of people think they're right 90% of the time and 100% of people aren't right 90% of the time. True stats? You decide.
But it is just a matter of opinion...for now patu, for now.

Also,
DuderEntertainment.com is looking for affiliations. I've sent out 10+ emails already just today. If anyones interested drop me a PM or somethin'. It's nothin' big. Just the basic affiliation button swap. :P
I finally got off my ass and redid the sites aff button too.
Focus
I find it's hard focusing on something for a long period of say... a week. One week it's a short flash toon, the next a game, next week it's the site, after that maybe the forums, and once and a while some live action stuff.
I think it's very pleasent switching between things to keep your mind motivated on 'em but DANG does it get annoying.

Yeah that one...I haven't seen it just heard about it
RE: Focus
I agree with you...Except I don't move onto something new...I just completely quit...
I don't think I've opened up flash for a month or so even though I still have multiple things I want to finish

I have never read the book, but the movie blows my mind. It's just such a massive overwhelming feeling watching it. Really intense stuff.
The other day I saw the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra play the Soundtrack to the movie. It was amazing. I paid $8 for a ticket that the person next to me spent $80 on. HOORAY STUDENT DISCOUNT
Physics toughness
So I'm studying for the AP physics exam on monday. Man there's some tough stuff.
Anyway one of the physics open response problems is
There's a block moving at initial velocity Vo
There's a force opposing the block's motion at F = -kv
There is no friction
And it asks for an equation for velocity in terms of time.
And I'm completely stuck on it. I can get velocity in terms of position and such, but I just can't seem to figure out how to calculate it in terms of time.
It also asks you to graph the function, which I was able to do cause I know what it should look like (start at Vo and trails off to 0 at infinity)
So I know it's probably some inverse exponential function, I just don't know how to derive it.

If you're old enough to get off your tits on crack, you're old enough to die for it. It sucks that he's dead, but he was well old enough to know what he was getting himself into.
dELta to the rescue
F = -kv
a = -kv/m = dv/dt
dt/dv = -m/kv
t = -m/k * ln v
v = e^-kt/m
forgot about constant in integration :P silly me
v = C + e^-kt/m
t = 0, v = C + 1
C = Vo - 1
v = Vo - 1 + e^-kt/m
