Hey, what time do you lot go to school in the morning? My bus picks me up at like 6:15-6:20, have to be in class by 7:15.

Glaiel, you should be about the same, unless it's city-by-city... actually I think it is, so completely erase this whole statement.

lol

You dumbasses. Animal farm is a great book. Its one huge metaphor. Its awesome how it was pulled off too.

I've never read it, the people I know said it was horrible. But then again, they said Ironman and Star Wars sucked, so why am I listening to them?

Aah ok. I couldn't remember that, unless they did it under water.. the cave bit (where Richard got trapped) was quite good I thought, I don't remember that being in the film.

Have you read any of Alex Garlands other stuff? I was thinking of buying his second (the coma one) awhile ago when I read the beach, but never did. I have two library cards now though.. so hopefully am all set.

has anyone read fight club, i fucken love the movie and i hear the book kicks ass. that and a clockwork orange.

every tom dick and harry read the davinci code now so i guess thats old news. was the movie any good? it looks pretty good. my freind who saw/read it said it was good.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-11-06 18:25:07

Havent read anything else by Garland. The underwater cave bit wasnt in the film but one of the main points is that he cant see at all so it wouldnt really have worked.

American Psycho the film is kinda horror but more a satirical look at 80s yuppie lifestyle. The book is the single most disgusting thing Ive ever read, heard or seen. Great book though. But seriously sick.

Yeah, I read the book because of the movie. And I'm glad it was in that order, because people are always disappointed when the movie inevitably can't fit in everything that was in the book.
The book follows a pretty different timeline, although in much the same spirit. It kinda seems like one of those cases where the movie was moreso inspired than a direct recreation. So in a way it's nice, because you get a different story, making it worth investing the time to experience both.

Unfortunately, I'm probably considered one of the stoner kids even though I'm not a burnout at all. It's just that a bunch of my friends are. I'd like to think I'm also one of the more artistic people in the grade.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-11-06 18:55:40

I prefered the film (fight club) to the book actually. The book was very good and his other stuff is good too but especially the ending to the film I think is better. Chuck Palaniuk also prefers the film ending, I read. A while ago I took to reading as many novels that were made into films as I could. American Psycho and The Godfather stand out the most. Obviously LOTR wins though but I read that way before the film, many times.

Has anyone else read many books of film adaptations? Has anyone seen all three LOTR extended back to back? All 6 Star Wars back to back?

I'm known as really flegmatic skater-boy, who doesn't care about school like he should. But i'm also known as animator and web-designer. All my school mates were so happy, when I created website for our class. They said it's the best site on our school :D
I'm usually in company of skaters/punkers and geeks, but there aren't any special groups in our school, we are all good friends.

Hm, I don't really see it. I don't go to a group, I stick with my friends, and that's that. We have sort of a group, maybe 10-12 BEST guy friends, not just a casual guy you sometimes hang out with, I mean, all 10 we hang out with, together. And then there's the other half of us, which are the girls. And there's like 10-12 girls. We of course don't hang out with them as much, but we're sort of the "crew" of like 24 people. It's awesome.

But, I don't really hang out with groups, classed groups anyway. I hang out with the regular people I guess. Theres...

Spanish, Black, Regular, Nerd, Emo/Gotch, Popular (Usually girls that do everything school-related and are hott and out of everyones leauge because they think they are too good for you), Armionies, and Rockers.

I guess I'm in rockers a bit, which isn't exactly a "group" much in our school, but I hang out with mostly regular. Which is most of the school... Like I said, my group is good enough for me, just my good friends.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-11-06 20:18:15

It's really, really sad that I remember this, but ages and ages ago when I capitalized every single word of my sentence and when I first joined newgrounds I e-mailed you and asked where you live.

Talk about too much memory, eh? I remember a time when I was 3, sitting on my bed watching some stupid show, eating chips. I threw up that night.

ANYWAYS, back to the subject, I live in Peabody, it's up near the northeastern coast of MA. I've lived everywhere in that general area from Malden to Boston to Saugus to Revere to Chelsea, etc. lol
