We should really respect him for fessing up like that. 90% of the guys who would do something like that would just take the money and fame, not caring at all. That guy has some real integrity to do that, and that is someone you should appreciate.

mmm, no, after he was confronted he 'admitted' it. But it's like a killer trying to turn himself in after you catch him with the smoking gun. Fucked up to steal, no integrity, no appreciation.

I dunno about appreciate, but it was definitely the right thing to do.

Object Identity

Luis and I were having a discussion over on my lonely userpage about animators drawing stuff that people can identify with, but might not necessarily appear that way in real life (go check it out). I go a lot more in depth, but long story short - Why do artists draw a silver metal garbage can with the saucer type lid for people to "recognize", if people's garbage cans today are more likely to be the dark plastic roller types? It's more of a discussion, I don't really have an answer but Luis brought up an interesting counter point that did sort of answer it.

Anyone else have any thoughts on it? Stupid question? Yes? No?

always behind schedule.

Evil childrens stealing money and junk.

It just goes to show ya... we need to be teaching these brats real discipline. They can't just do and say their "sorry" with the "gun still smoking" as Coalie put it. It should be legal to at least hit your kids in some form other then spanking. It's quite simple... kid has a laugh and throws a rock at another kid or somethin'. No problem! With one good shot in the head he'd smartin' up and get goin'. :)

Anyway... enouph of the evilness and negativity. LOVE all around! ^^

Who missed me? Huggles anyone? :3

On the subject of stolen games, after doing a 'vanity googling', I was amused by this story someone invented for skears DX.

"The dot likes its privacy and the other geometric shapes have decided to come for a visit. Your job is to eliminate them before they reach the center or your cushy security job days are numbered."

All the same, he's still a step above people who try to defend their actions, deny them or just bugger off and dissappear. There's a heirachy in complete assholes, and he's floated up a peg.

I can't think of an analogy that works here. My brain tried to think of witty metaphors for processed sewage or sex offenders who get downgraded from rape to sexual harrassment... but I just couldn't find one that applied while keeping it in perspective.

He hoodwinked us and he admitted it. Move on people - much as this kind of thing may just be the tip of the iceberg for a new kind of theft (i.e., stealing potentially award winning work that confuses even Mr Fulp about it's authenticity rather than mainly unseen arty pieces that people found sitting at the bottom of deviantArt), it is only five megabytes of stolen data, a few hours of confusion, and about a thousand people annoyed by the entire thing. Get over it, keep your eyes peeled and your whistles handy - we're going to see a lot more of this and we can't just pour all our scorn on two people at the beginning of the year...

I agree he isn't a nice guy, the fact that he admitted won't change a thing.
Also armor games don't really care, they get a great game on their site so they earn money i doubt that they would remove it.

I'm tired of everyone whining and quite frankly you guys are finally breaking through my relentlessly chipper mood.

Time to turn that around. What is something nice you have done for someone recently?

For me, I was in a gas (petroleum to you brits) station and a woman with her child did not have enough money to buy gas to get to Los Angeles. They were out of money and stuck at the gas station, and the woman was frustrated to the point of tears. I went up to her and helped her fill up her tank, and she gave me a huge hug. I didn't even know who she was, or probably will never know but I feel better that I helped someone out.

Nice one. Hmm... well I bought this kid with cancer a computer a few years ago.... or atleast I hope he had cancer or i totally wasted 400 bucks.. lmao.. nah it was cool. He was a newgrounds user and i think hes dead now. I remember his dad calling and being like i dont know who you are or why you did that but thank you for believing in my son. He eventually mailed me a 4 leaf clover. It's probably the nicest thing i've done for someone I didnt really know.

I ALSO paid for 2 flats when i was in london to accomidate you bastards.... it wasnt cheap i tellz ya.

Actually i dont count the flats as helping someone out. It was my birthday and I gave myself a blank check to do anything to ensure everyone had a good time. I dont see myself doing that again in any future meetups though. That was only because it was my birthday. I'm generous but not rich have some pitty.

If last october counts as recently, I did my Eagle Project (one of the requirements to become an Eagle Scout, I had to plan and organize a community service project) at some veteran park. We did a lot of work with mulch and trees and realigning the slate in the walkway (that took forever but everyone seemed to enjoy hitting the slate with hammers to break off overlapping pieces).

Also, the Jazz Combo at our school took a trip and played christmas music for preschool children in december. It was fun cause we didn't have to worry about playing good. Also, the reactions from the children were pretty funny, listening to them sing along to the well known songs and watching them be bored with the 1 ballad song (we sped it up to try to keep it interesting, but some kids couldn't help but tweak out cause of boredom during it).

T-Pain + Luis

Hey Luis, I just saw your post about the T-Pain concert. If you're not that into T-Pain I would suggest not going. I'm a fan and even I was dissapointed by the concert I went too. It's not very high energy and he only goes through like the first minute and a half of his songs. Now, since it's in the bahamas I would say just go and worst case scenario you'll be stuck at a concert for like 2 hours, but you'll have the rest of the time to enjoy the island.

Aww hell - you're making me feel inadequate :P The best I can come up with recently was letting a mate borrow my phone for a text (which at 10p probably doesn't even cover what alcohol of his I got out of his fridge at his last party :s)

I feel like I should do more things to help people. It's not like I'm not the sort of person to do stuff like that - if somebody asks me for a favour I'll almost certainly do it. It's just that the opportunity never seems to crop up and I'm too lazy to actually go out and find one.

What do you guys do while waiting for a flash to pass judgment? Do you just sit there uselessly watching the lack of information NG gives you like I do? =O

Used to a few years ago when it actually gave you a real-time score. Now I try and submit at a point where I won't have access to a computer for twelve hours or will probably be too hungover to care what score I got next time I check.
