RE: Most epid thing

Some guy that goes to my school always went on about how he's really good at juggling. I'm supremely awesome, but i kept quite because i didn't want to steal his thunder.

One day he bought some juggling balls into school. He went into maths, got out his balls and started juggling randomly, as if it was a normal thing to do. He's such an attention seeker. He was doing a couple of basic 3 and 4 ball tricks and thinking he's cool.

He was being all big headed, so i decided to put him in his place, take his 4 balls, add a satsuma to the mix, and wiped the floor with him with my 5 ball skills.

I then continued to show my vast range of 3 and 4 ball tricks, further humiliating him.

He now still brings his balls to school, but only juggles with them when I'm not around.

I'm EPIC??!?

I used to get pics of strange bugs, and other assorted weird critters of the internet. I would then photoshop Pokemonesque images into those pics and I'd give em all the little kids and 'proof' that Pokemon actually exist. After a while, that wasn't enough fun anymore, so I started selling Pokeballs that I made from painted hollowed out baseballs.

I eventually got calls from angry parents though. But then I moved to Germany and I never bothered to give the money back.

I've always thought that was pretty epic.

What a jerk not letting you watch him juggle his balls.

Re:Productive enviroment

Here's my new setup I was on aboot, it is quality. Eventually the little telly will be gone and everything will go through the computer, so my TV will, Xbox, PS2 etc all through the monitor. I think this will be much more of a 'productive enviroment' than lying on my bed with a broken laptop.

Most Epic Thing
I've got a couple.

Mountain Biking
-US Version
I reached 42 MPH riding a mountain bike down a dirt road. I fell and slid about 100 feet, rolling and hitting trees and rocks. I couldn't stop myself because my bike landed on top of me, and that thing is a good 30 pounds (dual suspension heavy alum frame). My gear cut across my knee and opened it up. We we're 12 miles from home, down a mountain, and I had to ride all the way home with a knee with half the skin hanging off, and most of my body bleeding. I got home, wrapped my knee and alcohol'ed my wounds, and didn't realize the knee wound was more serious than it looked. My knee made me lose a terrible amount of blood, and I was bleeding non-stop for two days.

-EURO Version
I reached 68 KPH riding a mountain bike down a dirt road. I fell and slid about 30 meters, rolling and hitting trees and rocks. I couldn't stop myself because my bike landed on top of me, and that thing is a good 13-14 kg (dual suspension heavy alum frame). My gear cut across my knee and opened it up. We we're 19 kilometers from home, down a mountain, and I had to ride all the way home with a knee with half the skin hanging off, and most of my body bleeding. I got home, wrapped my knee and alcohol'ed my wounds, and didn't realize the knee wound was more serious than it looked. My knee made me lose a terrible amount of blood, and I was bleeding non-stop for two days.

Prom
I told my teachers I was going to prom, because I kept getting asked randomly by them (I didn't know why). What they didn't know was that I was going to another high school's prom. When they were announcing the Prom Prince (its like Prom King Jr, for the Juniors) they called my name and I wasn't there. The Prom Princess had to dance by herself.

I won Prom King the next year as well.

Sea levels

At 11/9/07 08:38 AM, KaynSlamdyke wrote: Hypothetical Question
How much of the polar ice caps would I have to melt before I can plausibly use Earth as a post apocalyptic pirate setting for a hypothetical Flash series? Anyone know a simulator or some pro-enviromentalist propaganda that shows the projected damage of the ice cap melt scenarios?

Here's the answer to your question:

http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/environm ent/waterworld.html

To sum it up, while there is a lot of ice in the world, most of it is floating ice, which doesn't raise the sea level when it melts, since it already displaces its own mass in water (look up buoyancy). So only the land ice in antarctica and greenland really contributes to a rise in levels, and its still not that much, even if it all goes.

Sorry, no waterworld :P

Plus, the pre-packaged thing would almost definately automatically have vista. *vomits*

Veng has it right here, I saved about $3000 when I built my own PC. Like retail pre-made PC was $5000 and i spent $2000 monitor and all.

Yeah, I had considered building it myself, but a friend of mine has kinda put me off the idea. He was building one but he couldn't get the water cooler fitted correctly, so he took it to a shop to get it done. The guy doing it though couldn't actually do it either and spilled water all over the motherboard.

Eeh... don't bother with water cooling, more trouble than its worth. a couple of fans will do the trick, if your worried about noise just hook up some air con ducting and put the fan further away.

EPIC:

1. I had a permanent dental retainer from childhood that was keeping my teeth straight, I got really fed up with it and removed it with some pliers then used a screwdriver to scrape the remaining permanent dental epoxy off my teeth. My teeth have never felt better.

2. I had a 1967 Ford Mustang in high school. One rainy night after a party, my buddy wanted to race me in his Audi. I completely whooped him off the line, but about a mile later he came zooming past me (I thought the race was over) so I tromped the pedal and caught up to him but by this time we were doing 120 MPH in the rain - me in a VERY old car. Looking back I feel really retarded, but it was a rush at the time.

How could Kevin Costner lie to me like that. I didn't watch the first half hour of that film for nothing!

So my Papervision and post-apocalyptic pirate epic will need to wait for a more convincing reason

Most Epic Things....

Haven't done anything too Epic but here are I'd say my best two epic moments.

1. In 7th grade I teased a kid into committing suicide, yea I feel bad now, but only a little. I'm kinda insane, so at first it made me feel cool being responsible for his death. Cruel Irony.

2. I once told a girl to go rot in hell with her murderer father. Yeah, her father killed someone like 6 months before, and it was the only thing I could think of as she broke up with me. So yeah, if you want to see more about that, click here.

I Am I The Only One Unlucky With Girls?

Like, out of the 8 girlfriends I've had, theres been like 2 that haven't had serious issues.

First girlfriend was normal, then the second killed herself after we broke up :S. Third one was normal, Fourth was abused by her father, and when I confronted him, he tryed to kill me with his hunting knife. Fifth, well, she had to be the weirdest chick I've ever met. Sixth, Thats the one mentioned above. Seventh was obsessive over me. Eighth just broke up with me because I was too good of a boyfriend...

Don't ask about 8, it's an odd situation...

Work space

Attached image.

Epic
Well when I was a kid my father hooked up a flying fox over the dam it ran from a tree which was about 10m above ground, you would have slide(for lack of a better word) for about 15m before you got to the water, and then another 5m before it was deep enough to drop into. But thats not the crazy part you had for the first 15m you had to glide over jaged rocks trees, and about 10m in the bank dropped away to a 15m drop to solid stone...

now that I think about it that was crazy dangerous for my father to do I was about 8 or 9 I think but yeah thats one example of my crazy life.

Most epic thing

Just something that came to mind right away: A few years ago, my aunt and uncle purchases a 1.5 million dollar house. At the time, they were living about a half and hour away from the house, and we lived about 15 minutes from it. They drove out one night so we could go in and check it out. In their new bedroom, there was a little remote on a night table, and I picked it up and started playing with it. I said "what is this?" and they're like "you didn't press any buttons right?". It was the remote for the fireplace in their bedroom that wasn't working. They said no one was supposed to try to turn it on. I was incredibly freaked out because I wouldn't want to have any piece in burning their new house that they've yet to move into down. So yeah, I told them what I did, we waited there like 30 minutes to see if any smoke formed, after it didn't we all left, but I don't remember sleeping much that night :)

1. In 7th grade I teased a kid into committing suicide, yea I feel bad now, but only a little. I'm kinda insane, so at first it made me feel cool being responsible for his death. Cruel Irony.

Wow dude, you're a real dick. I firstly don't really believe that you did anything that had to do with it and are just saying you were responsible to feel "cool" and secondly, don't think you're cool for it. You clearly have never had anyone close to you die. You really are sick in a bad way if this is true.

2. I once told a girl to go rot in hell with her murderer father. Yeah, her father killed someone like 6 months before, and it was the only thing I could think of as she broke up with me. So yeah, if you want to see more about that, click here.

Way to pull off the asshole trick again. You don't say shit like that especially if it's true. Thank God I'm not the only one who thinks he's an asshole for doing this.

I Am I The Only One Unlucky With Girls?

Yeah, probably...

Like, out of the 8 girlfriends I've had, theres been like 2 that haven't had serious issues.

Maybe it's because you have serious issues just like you say above!

First girlfriend was normal

Maybe to you. She was probably an emo ho.

then the second killed herself after we broke up :S.

Are you making all of this up. That's what I'm suspecting...and of course it wasn't because of you, no one would care that much. She was probably fucked up in the first place.

Third one was normal,

...to your standards

Fourth was abused by her father, and when I confronted him, he tryed to kill me with his hunting knife.

Stop making shit up. No one is this fucked up. You probably exaggerate everything on here...

Fifth, well, she had to be the weirdest chick I've ever met.

How can YOU think someone is weird?

Sixth, Thats the one mentioned above.

You were a dick to her, she wasn't bad to you bet.

Seventh was obsessive over me.

Yeah, sure, lets go with that.

Eighth just broke up with me because I was too good of a boyfriend...

Haha! Yeah fucking right. You're a good boyfriend because you tell your girlfriends to rot in hell and kill themselves and then go have a "gay ol' time" on the internet with it.

Don't ask about 8, it's an odd situation...

I wasn't planning on it.

Ok, lets all drop the topic of my problems...

I was fucked up in the head as a child because I was teased so much growing up I almost killed myself a few times, so I took out my anger on others.

I've gone through therapy, grown up and feel really bad about the things I've done, OK, I don't need people telling me, I've had people doing that my whole life.

New subject for god's sake ><

NG downward spiral

So this is an interesting topic... i was kind of disappointed with this months monthly winners... is it just me or does it not feel like theres months where its a total monopoly and nobody has a chance to win?

I hate it when like a movie wins on pico day AND wins the monthly... i know its not the artists fault or whatever but it feels really unfair to anyone who contributed during the month to like have a chance be eaten up by an entry that already basked in glory... it feels wrong and i think when that happens tom should just pass the prize over to next of kin the way he does it when the staff wins something.

While im on that thought, i noticed tom was pretty annoyed with the Halloween contest, I think he finally hit his breaking point with people bitching about why so and so won or why they didnt get something.. is it just me or does it seem all these contests are making the scene ugly and cutthroat.. it feels like more and more artists are going at each other's necks over these things and it just feels like the scene is getting less fun to be part of.... Nobody is doing animations for the fuck of it anymore ...
