Playing with the url
So I wanted that angry face picture that appears when you go to an 'invelid thread' or something like that, so I started to play with the url, hoping that at the first try i would get the error message.. but i changed the numbers to random several times and i just kept going to weird general threads.. i am sure that if what i wanted was to go to a random thread the error message would have apeared at first..

Doubt it. Happens every clock day really. None ever make an impact, and only a few get awards. So, I'm doubtful.

I'm hoping they're going to fix all the stuff that isnt done from the Redesign.

I would be wrong to manually edit the scores of movies. It's basically a user run portal. In my mind, editing movies scores not by voting is like a congress member stuffing ballots.

I agree. And if any movies from Clock Day make it anywhere, the people will vote on what it deserves, therefore lowering, or making its score higher. But otherwise, they will just be lost forever in Newgrounds, like so many films!

First problem, I don't think the URL is going to very very easy to remember.

Second problem, your site navigation's going to be hell if that intro fade in takes place every time someone presses the back button to navigate back to your menu page. I also feel it's a bit too... clunky visually. I've never been a fan of round buttons or gigantic logos.

Otherwise, very clean, and the tab order works correctly. Got to wonder what it looks like for people sans Flash, java and eyesight, but thats only because I delve too deeply into this sphere of things

Yeah, it's a bit of a wait. Your better than average Interwebernet user will wait all of six seconds on a website before it does something before moving onto something better (this, by the way, is also a really good ballpark figure for how long they'll wait for preloaders for Flash anims on Newgrounds...). So personally, I'd make it instantanious

My personal challenge is to remake my website "entirely" in Flash and still have it work with things like the back button, dynamic content, liquid design... that sort of thing.

Of course, no site should ever just be entirely in Flash. It'll need to use XHTML somewhere, and nowadays, probably Javascript too...

I don't drive. I'm legally allowed to drive a motorcycle less than 125cc though...
I take my Motorcycle Theory test tommorow. And then if/when I pass, I'll book my CBT and buy myself a Honda Rebel.

With all this talk about flash sites, CHECK OUT MINE!. And yes Im too lazy to pay for a domain name....
I'm not saying its awesome or anything, but I've had nothing but good comments about it. Except for maybe the loading of it and stuff.
Can I get some feedback on people who aren't so amazed by simple flash creations?
I made it a while ago, last year, when apparently they were still cool. I still think it works, its not so hard or annoying to update. FTP and dreamweaver make it incredibly simple. With my limited knowledge of html and xml and xhtml and sdflkjsdfjkhtml, making it in flash was easy and pretty fun.
Mine is pretty much in one page, one URL, so you shouldnt touch the back button...but my animations and games and stuff load into a new window. :P
Basically, what do you guys think of it design and execution wise?

At age 16 you can sit a Compulsory Basic Training course on a 125cc bike which entitles you to drive Mopeds or Motorcycles under 125cc (provided you're over 17), provided you don't carry pillion passengers and don't use the motorways. After that you take your theory test (which is the same as the one for cars, but more motorcyclely) and then at the age of seventeen you can take your actual A license test (or A1 if you want to drive an automatic transmission) on a bike about 250cc, which allows you to drive a motorcycle with less than 33bhp power output for two years (and giving you pillion and motorcycle access... whoo), before derestricting you to drive any bike you want - you can take an Accelerated Access test to reduce this restriction and take a new set of tests on a bike around 450cc. Or at age 21 you can bypass the test and accelerated access and do a Direct Access Scheme set of tests on a 450cc bike and get your license and accelerated access on the same day.

And they want to make it MORE complicated?! I mean, the extra thirty questions in the theory test will be bad enough, but adding a Supertest centre segment to the Practical (including off-road training) is just making this entire thing even more difficult. All I want to do is ride a bike...
