Inspiration

That's funny, because I've got little but inspiration and ideas, and little time or energy to bring them to life. The biggest problem is learning AS3, which I'm gonna do before making more games.

I can usually only finish a game when I do the whole thing in a single sitting, or if someone else is relying on me to do it.

Or if there's money in it...

Inspiration

I always have ideas, but I never finish making them in Flash. That's why collabs are so great becasue you only have a small part to do.

Flash at school

Do your school computers have Flash? Ours do, becasue some kid thought it'd be funny to install it on the main server. What a tool. It enrages me when I see year students using Flash on the school computers because they didn't pay for it. If they just bought Flash then Adobe might be able to lower the price down a bit.

Yeah, our school has flash, they had mx for quite a long time then got flash 8 but never installed it untill like a month ago. Waste of money, now cs2 is out. I dont think flash at school made me want to do flash, since i was younger when i first used flash at home. But what about you guys? Was using flash at school your first experrience with it?

Yeah, our schools have it too. I see so many helpless year sevens trying to figure out what their doing. I stand behind them and laugh. Eventually say "You can't do better so shut up!". Thats when I bust out an early version of jellyfish and start talking code jargan as to how it works. Fuckin BAM. Those bastards just got owned.

im in 2 collabs at the moment and ive started animating a music video on my own.

And i have 2 other big projects that im still writing but i agree with whoever it was that said its getting the motivation to do it thats hard i go a few weeks of working and get loads done but then its ages till i start back up again.

It's easier than you think to start businesses. Most people are intimidated by the word itself, but if you think about it, what is business? You give your services for money, right? Well, that's exactly what you do working part time, except you don't make as much as you could. To be successful you just have to have eithe skill or originality, as well as history, and a potent network of connections. With that done the only thing you need to bring it together is dedication and time.

I'm gonna start my business in one of two areas: webmaster an entertainment website similar to A.G. and N.G. and/or create a business that puts out websites for small business owners. Working at a bank I meet at least 2-3 small business owners, and of those 2-3 at least 1/2 don't have websites, and in total I've already made at least 10 contacts in the past 3 months.

My next step is to get a website done, pay for my Web Developer's Certificate from W3C, and get an AA in Computer science. With those kinds of credentials I'll be a shoe in for these companies. Plus, even if I charge 65% of what the pros charge, i'll still be making over 600 American Greenbacks per job, and if I stack jobs, I could be making a large amount over a small amount of time. On top of that, if I work part time I'll have a steady income, plus my business income, and being unmarried that'll go a VERY long way.

Info: Like the title implies this game is going to be, for the most part, an action shooter that focuses on heavy metal music and gore all relayed in an action-comic format.

Working Title: Triple A (AngryFaic's Angry Action)
Partner: -none-
Info: Another self explanatory shooter that utilizes complex, explosive, game structure that has you raking in points with every explosive chain reaction you create.
Completed: 6.9%

Flash At School

Yeah my school has flash and uses it in CPU Graphics (course) and Communications (course). But I was inspired by the super_flash_bros to do flash, ever since the first Decline came out.

Nah, I'm suppost to be working on my Apocalypse Collab piece today, I will in the afternoon.

And then I'm going to do an experimental animation with sticky notes, draw on each note then photograph each one (I've got a technical setup idea for taking the photos). I need to do a storyboard though, so I don't mess up on stickys, that'd be a waste...

I've always wanted to work in the games industry, either programming or designing, that'd be my dream job. People like Gust (where's he gone anyway) and dELta will get in with ease, it'll take a lot of time for me to get there :P.

Flash at school
Yep. I have flash at school because they teach flash at third and fourth semester... that means next yer will be hell easy for.. no wait... everybody will be asking me for help. Some of my clasmate try to flash sometimes but they suck at it.. they dont divide their tweens into layers.. then when i take some of my projects to work at them on school (sometimes we sont so anything at computer class, and most webpages are blocked, so some extra work is useful), they all stand behind drooling.. even if it is just a stcikman.

Summer job
I wanted to get a job on summer, mainly because i want money to buy a new tablet, but getting a job means either not going out on vacation or not being able to use my computer at home.. so i dont know what to do..
