I have no IM of any kind. No one to talk to...
Re: Storyboards
Storyboarding is something I plan to do for the near future on more extensie projects. I probably would just do it on the computer. I have little actual drawing talent.

Whoa! So did I! Thats so wierd. Actually, i seems to make more sinse than reply. Because saying "Reply, Topic Name" doesn't sound as good as "Regarding, Topic Name"

I always thought it was Latin for something (pronounced 'rey').

Ok, I think I added all of you.
Portal review deletes
Sorry about the new topic spamming, but this M-Bot thing is getting fucking ridiculous. I had one notification of a delete of a review I made like two years ago, which I probably deserved.
Other than that, I got a review deleted on an IllWillPress animation for suggesting, very maturely and subtely, that he may want to improve the range of his animation and originallity, giving it something like a five.
And just now, I got a notification that a review had been deleted for saying that something 'made me lol'. It wasn't a serious animation, and the fact that it made me laugh out loud was probably the best way of expressing my feelings on it. There wasn't really anything else to say about it in terms of animation or whatever, and the score I gave it (six) was totally balanced.
Anyway, these whisle whores suck. It's gone from a noble quest against spammers and eleven year old idiots into some ugly, backstabbing thing where anyone who has a review which may concievably be viewed as overly negative, overly positive, or unhelpful by someone, somewhere is fair game.
Drunk Driving
Home sweet home. :-)
If Luis can spam drunk then who can't.
To make it not spam, discuss.
thats a little excessive. i miss the old days when people could say what they want. I'm sure that REAL critiques are going to come off as people being (lack for a better word) assholes.
i agree that some things should be deleted but i think this sort of thing should be taken a lot lighter than its going right now
Site, for pretty much free.
Any artists who need a basic "portfolio of their work" or want a website for the sake of having one- I can host you. I have hosting on a domain that I never use, but I might use later on, and so it wouldn't matter/ take up much space to host others. Just let me know if you're interested.

No, I think it's just a matter of people getting wet when they see the deity whisle and flagging every review without a total between 7 and 9 out of ten. That could be combined with the review mods being even bigger Nazis than the Genral Forum mods, but since I've no clue who the review mods are I can't really comment.
RE: MSN swap
Not that I think anyone would like to talk to me, but whatever.

I agree, I haven't had any of my reviews deleted that I know of but still. Everything doesn't have to be deadly serious, You shouldn't have to write super informative reviews all the time.
Reviews
It would sort of be nice if you could get critique and have people just leave comments like "awsome" or "really nice i like the colours, very bold :)"
Not have to write so much, then people might review stuff/ leave comments more often.
Reviews
I wouldnt stress out about em. Whats going on is that after years of neglect, there are finally personel being put in charge of cleaning up reviews and naturally if youre going to clean up you have to start where the line forms.. and sometimes that means years ago. If you find yourself flagged just keep that in mind, dont get bent out of shape about it... as for the reviewing itself, different people monitor it so just like modding styles, it varies on the person doing the cleanup work, some mods are more nitpicky than others.

Face Mapping In Flash
I was wondering if it is possible to face map in flash, to give more interactivity to a game. Couldn't bitmap data be used? For instance, a webcam feed could be aquired, then when the user presses 'take photo' or something it coverts the feed at that second into Bitmap Data. Then all the pixels of a skin tone are set to your required skin colour, and the same for any other colour on your face.
Anyway, could that work? If people think it's possible, i might try it :).
RE: MSN Swap
Haven't bothered to get a hotmail email so I used my yahoo one.
RE: Face Mappin
I suppose it could be possible, if a little blocky and you'd have to get some dimensions to crop the face.... I think....

Not exactly sure what you mean. Like this? The player has webcame activated to take snapshot of the circle where the player's head is. Then the head is placed on top of the game sprite so the player can watch himself play.
Is that what you meant?
At 1/10/07 04:33 PM, TheHappySheep wrote: Is that what you meant?
Yeah, pretty much exactly what i meant :P. Do you think it is do able?
I've been to busy to give it a shot, but i will spend time on it if people thinks its worthwhile :).
RE: Borat
Yuck!
RE: Reviews
I like the reviews where people give an honest opinion and don't give you a 0 because they don't like the content, like they just state they're not fond of the genre and may dock a bit off but don't try to fail you. One time I got a not so good review for Hook Shot, then the guy later on pmed me saying he would like to increase his review and that he likes the game more after playing it a bit more, alot of times people rush to conclusions.

Normally people vote high on my stuff to try and get a fast save, well I guess this attracted a lot of people with no accounts or horny kids, so they fast zeroed because it didn't have any sex and pissed them off.
So if the title has sex or hentai in ,it Will piss off horny kids and will be blammed
or Will get mass 0 when it passes and will get totw

No. It was probably just because it sucked. Bad.
Super Shiny Site
Hey guys, don't know if you remember about a billion pages back I mentioned I was gonna do a site redesign. Well, its done! Check it out:
Featuring sparkly forum and other stuff. I want to know what you all think, compared to the old site (if you ever saw it).
The big improvement for me is that now files have their own pages that I can link to, eg:
http://superflashbros.net/exclusive/flash/sho w.php?file=smashbrosgallery.swf
The other thing I'm pretty proud of is getting the cafepress page to look exactly like the rest of the site. That took a bit of work.

If it had the title" Final Fantasy and Super Mario+Sonic sprite adventures" you would've passed with a blank screen.
Shameless Site Promotion
Me and a couple of my friends have finished our latest site a few days ago. It's biggest insipiration was Newgrounds, main difference being our site is for amateur site builders (like ourselves) instead of Flash Artists. Once we have a community we hope to provide some sort of way for fresh site owners to gain criticism and hopefully a steady base of visitors for their site. Anyways, go check it out and please tell me what you think. It's still very, very beta, so there might be some bugs, but we hope it will grow into something bigger 'n better.
