just add a right click mouse event, see the context menu of hell disappear and the possibilities opening up.

I was mainly planning on just leaving it there and focusing on the work, mainly as a means to record the whole process to timelapse it at the end and so that people could maybe pop in and see what I'm up to and pop out.

I suppose that sounds way better than the hundreds or thousands you'd pay standalone, but what if you only want one program, say, Flash or Photoshop? You're paying the same price as a person who uses all of them, meaning the person who just wants Photoshop is getting ripped off while the other guy is getting a good deal and Adobe profits either way. Having access to all the programs you'd rather not spend to try out at least once sure is nice tho, but after you realize you don't want most of them, then you're getting stiffed.

I liked it. It has an initial wow factor that is a great hook to new players. My suggestion would be to kill off the parts of the maze in which you have to walk far back. This killed it for me a couple times and I just got too frustrated and wasn't having fun anymore. The draw was trying to get to the finish and shooting was fun too. Overall good concept, though.

Frameworks

Has anyone here heard of Axel? It's only a few months old, but it looks pretty promising. In a nutshell, it's Flixel, but using Stage3D. I've got it running at about 24fps on a iPad1 and at a solid 60fps on iPhone 4S, so it's pretty solid.

Having said that, what frameworks (if any) does you all use?

Study study studying for exams this week.

Once this hell week is over, I'm gonna find people to work on this game with. Final Fantasy Tactics series was 300 hours of my life back in the day, so this idea will pay some tribute to that. I have a list of stuff to work on when I finally have free time (current unit indicator, confirmation boxes before an attack is launched, list of attacks to choose from, hp and whatnot, etc), so there's no need to bring up that kind of stuff.

Mouse for most things, first guy is a mage kinda character, 2nd one is an archer. Left and right rotate the view. B might (?) still reset your turn (equivalent of asking "Are you sure?" after a movement finishes).
