no it's broadcast internationaly, and has an established fan base in america, though i doubt it's as popular anywhere else than the uk.
It's an extremely long running sci-fi main-stream tv series, revitalised in the last 5 years with a 'new' series starting with the 9th doctor incarnation

It's on BBC america I think, but it's a few weeks behind us because they need to edit a dumbed down version for you Americans. =p

Doctor Who was badass, best story so far - Amys Choice coming a close second (but the ending ruined it). Really liked the mass soldiers, and I'm glad Rory died... Doctor + Amy? ;)
So, considering Rory never existed, you know the bedroom scene with the Doctor and Amy where she kisses him; he rejects her cause shes getting married, but if Rory never existed then she wasn't going to get married so that changes the past.
Do you think something more happened there? ;)
I think they'll return to that episode maybe next season - travelling to when the homo reptilia awaken.
They need more episodes with big armies and wars, like the Sontaren episode.

Really Kirk...judgment is a slippery slope of poorly understood generalities. I'm sure most of my yank brethren benefit highly from the "dumbed down" versions, but the rest of us, who have enjoyed the show since the Tom Baker years, really don't need the assist, if you gather my meaning.

Yeah but not just that; Rory helped track the guy with his phone.
It would of been cool to have quick flash backs of how they did it without him.

It was a very different show then. The evolution of it all is really quite amazing. It's still every bit as conceptually strong as what was since the way way back. Now we just got all these serious special EFX. Tom and his predecessors had to do a lot more with a lot less. It's kind of like Star Trek in that way. The doors don't have to be made of styrofoam anymore. :)
I'm currently teaching Flash/AS3 to my friend. Hopefully I can stop him from picking up the same bad habits I got myself into. So far, I've had to beat it into his head that he must not EVER forget his semicolons. :D
It's pretty hard to remember what was and what wasn't hard to pick up. Has anyone else here taught another person Flash or anything similar from the ground up?

In the last episode, when I saw the flashbacks about the light erasing people from existence, I initially thought "Oh, that's clever!" - I thought that the Doctor would put the Homo-Reptilian who shot Rory (or her gun) in front of the light to remove them from history and hence 'undo' the shooting of Rory. I suppose the light doesn't work quite like that, but I'm still very disappointed that it didn't happen.

I tried teaching a designer friend of mine the basics of AS3 when we were making our final year project. It would have been easier to teach Stevie Wonder to read.

I'm totally exhausted from this month, and I get maybe a week to recuperate before heading off to the Newgrounds Montreal Meet.
Everyone's kinda just rambling about Dr. Who and stuff so i figure its fine if i post about my current events, perhaps some of ye will be interested :)
Winnipeg essentially flooded over the weekend so I'm happy we were on the 2nd floor of the building, all nice and dry while everyone else attended to flooding basements.
