I got a free copy of Flex Builder as I'm a student. You should be able to do that as well.

Had a shitty finish this morning (in the money at least) 45th/371 entrants.
Last night, had a first and second place finish at the two sit and gos I played last night.

I sure hate how much Christian propaganda (or so it seems) we read in school. My history book often compares Atheism to Communism, without making any real sense. Of course, nobody even thinks about what the textbook is saying, and this further fuels the wrongfully strong hatred of Atheists that Christians hold. Being an Atheist myself, I am extremely offended by the severe lack of understanding of my non-beliefs, as well as the dirty looks I get when I tell people I'm Atheist. As sort of a retaliation against this, I find myself constantly bashing religion in any way I can, often dropping subtle bombs on Christianity or religion as a whole during class discussions or whilst analyzing books. Well now I have the perfect opportunity to pretty much nuke religion. For my Honors English course, I was assigned an analytical paper for the Shakespeare unit we have just finished. In it, we must choose from a list of topics and relate them to each of the plays we read. Throughout the unit, I have been making note of Shakespeare's seemingly sarcastic references to "God" and "salvation".

So... Should I go for it and write a paper completely bashing religion? Or would that be a bad choice to make?

I think you should petition the school to remove the books since you find them offensive to your religious belief system. If they don't cater to you, take it higher and be sure to tell the next step up that no one will take you seriously.

Do exactly what a Catholic, or Muslim or Jewish person would do if one of the books bashed their religion.

Discrimination is an equal-opportunity event. Use it against them.

As long as you can justify your reasons, and link what your actually saying back to the point of the essay, you can bash religion all you want.

I have a few friends that are religious that are like w/e, we don't talk about it and its like w/e. Unfortunately i know a few people also who are like SUPER strongly religious and will often use god in every day sentinces and stuff, thank god for their food on a daily basis...that annoys me >__>

Archon... I feel your pain. I've been a non-believer my whole life. Petitioning to remove information from people is not the way. It may feel good in the short term, but it's really lowering yourself to a level that you don't frankly need to.

DO write the paper you want to. Shakespeare comes very close to downright heresy in certain works (the sort of shite that would've got him killed in the 1300's). Make your point, and make it well.

biased school books are one thing, but that's not a reason to take it out on the other people in the class.

Seemed a bit pointless having such a low rated game when most of the reviews were like "I DIED BUT THEN IT LET ME GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL"

So I'll either leave it, or change it so it's more obvious that dying allows you to continue.
