I looked that up on Saturday.

It could be really good, but It'll be most likely be ruined by the fact it has to appeal to all the younger generations too.

when has there ever been a good show on there, excluding ren and stimpy

"Pinwheel"
"You can't Do that on Television"
"The honeymooners"
"Dobie Gillis"
"Gilligin's island"
"Patty duke show"
ect..
ect..

Back in the '80s, Nick was the shit. Awesome daytime shows. Nick At Night aired all of the greats from the '50s/'60s.

Spongebob used to be hilarious, but they've ruined the show with the new style of humor.

I miss shows like "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" and "Dexter's Lab".

Well Ren & Stimpy is solid gold shit for real, but occasionally people throw a show up there that is pretty freaked out.

I loved 'Perfect Hair Forever', and they canceled that double quick. Then I got into 'Frisky Dingo', 'Drinky Crow', 'Assy McGee' and 'Superjail', which are all still totally viable, but at the end of the day, it seems everyone wants to watch re-re-runs of 'Family Guy' (which is a totally cool show, and I'm not saying otherwise). Playing ratings is the system. It's been well-forged.

The happiest days of my life were when 'Twin Peaks' was on, and now we can watch it ep by ep online.

:)

The Simpsons is a great show as well. But Archon, your right, Decters Labratory was hilarious! I guess they replaced it with JohnyTest :|

And Family Guy? It's just boring to me now.

Spongebob's the only reason I check onto Nick once in a while.

Aren't you like 13? Do you really need a reason to watch nickelodeon?

This thread is so thick with nostalgia I can hardly breathe. Snap out of it people, times have changed!

Okay, I'm in denial, Dexter's Lab was the shizz.

That was a great ep. I also love the one narrated by the six year old.

"You are stoooopid. You are stoooopid. And don't forget...You are stoooopid."

Hilarious.

@ Archon I can totally understand why you would find Twin Peaks boring. Try watching it again when you are 35, and you may find it a completely different experience, or not? :D

Anyone ever notice how 100% of TV shows aired nowadays are shitty medical dramas or crime shows? It's like once ER got off the air everyone decided to hop on the bandwagon, but it was too full so they grabbed on to the tails of the cows pulling it, causing those cows to shit in their faces and leave them laying in the mud covered in shit and flies.

K i'm not saying that, i was 14 only 5 years ago. I'm just saying that when i was 14/15 i didn't need an excuse to watch kids shows, i just did it. kids these days are too eager to grow up and start doing drugs, having sex and stealing from 7-11. Relax and enjoy TV! It'll teach you to do those things better anyways haha :D

House > ER btw.
Breaking Bad is a great show as well.

I like House much better, too, but a lot of people were fans of ER. I never liked ER much. The point is that about 20 new medical dramas popped up this year, and most of them suck.

Mercy, Trauma, etc.

Trauma is well written, though.

RE: Watching Nickelodeon
I watch Nickelodeon whenever there is nothing else on. Some of the shows provide mild comic relief, and that's all I really care about after a long day at school. iCarly has a lot of internet/nerd humor written into it so I can relate to it pretty well.

But yeah, TV is pretty awful nowadays. Everything that was good is either gone or is disappearing.

Anyone else ever notice that TV networks always try to cram all of the shows onto one or two nights? In the US, everything is on Mondays or Thursdays, with almost nothing else on any other day during the week.

While I'm going to have to upgrade this time around (unless I want to pay more than twice the upgrade costs if CS6 has features I need), it won't be later on, and probably not until I need to bother with this whole HTML5 thing

TV died
TV didn't die, you're looking in the wrong place.
Shows like The Sopranos, Doctor Who, Life on Mars, Glee, The Big Bang Theory and tonnes of others are all instant classics made in the modern age. You just have to look harder. There are less brilliant shows but they're still out there.

Glee

I've seen a few episodes of Glee (lol female housemates) and it's terrible. TERRIBLE. American Football teaming dancing to Beyonce to win a game? LOLWTFBBQ?
