In other news:
Got accepted in computer science, biotechnology and computer engineering in my local uni :D
Dunno which one I'll take though.
I found Peter Griffin to be particularly insightful on this topic, and I half-quote: "biotechnology and computer engineering are just the lesbian sisters of cs". Computer engineering sounds boring as fuck, and biotechnology is way too tech-oriented. In cs you'll actually learn a good deal of interesting math. Even though its official name has been "applied math" for a long time, I find that it's actually one of the more pure subjects, even on par with physics as far as I'm concerned. Take into consideration that CS is not so much about programming. When I was younger I was turned off by CS because I thought computer science basically meant programming course. It's nothing like it, and here's a great quote I saw about it: "CS is as much about computers as astronomy is about telescopes". ie: not so much. You use telescopes in astronomy just like you use computers in cs, but they're not the important part of it.
