Well hot damn! I used to have MX04, those were the good ol' days, back when things were simple, filters were non-existent, and all i could do was tween :)

It's no more complex than any other flash. CS4 is my new favourite, clean manageable interface and some good new code features. Though i try and use Flash Develop when i can.

Yeah no idea why you can't down-version files to any other Flash, i mean you can downgrade from CS4 to cs3, then cs3 to 8, then 8 to mx2004, so why not just let us go straight from cs4 to 2004?

probably to keep you upgrading and financing the developer. I still think its stupid. In illustrator, you used to be able to save down to Illustrator 6 if you wanted to. The technology is there, its just the developers stubborness IMO.

I feel like the only person IN THE FUCKING WORLD who has never layed fingers on any vector based program that isn't flash. Specially Ilustrator, I just don't get it. My equipment has always been Flash for vector and Photoshop for rasters. I know I should buy Painter someday though.

I have also discovered the joys of using MS Paint just for the goddamn fuck of it, it gives a aquigly line effect that I simply love.

That absolutely is the case. And honestly, Adobe wouldn't want anyone to use old Macromedia programs - if you buy the company, you wanna get the customers aswell.

... not that I have any newer version than MX2004... XD

My activation was still working a few weeks ago, did it really stop working?

It doesn't care once it's activated. It's when it gets deactivated by your own power or you are trying to reinstall it is when it gets angry at you.

Also, check this story out. This is about as warm and fuzzy Adobe has ever made me.

I assume that she only really needed Dreamweaver, but still.. one piece of software doesn't replace ~5! I can't remember what was in the studio packages but it was definitely Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Freehand.. and I assume some of Macromedias smaller software that they threw in to sweeten the deal probablys..

Still nice of them, since they obviously couldn't fix the problem.. which sucks, they should be able to fix it when it's their own servers.

I know glaiel promotes himself enough in this thread, but I just read his blog post on monetizing flash games. It's an old topic, but I think he stated it pretty well:

The passwords will be encrypted with an encryption like MD5 so even if you did mange to view them then you'd have to brute force/dictionary attack the encryptions

sha1 is much longer, so i think they use that method.
in md5, if the pass is 4 chars, it takes some seconds to decrypt it but a 8 char pass with numbers can take a whole day.

The Universal Rules

1-The reason its called the 'Reg' lounge is because it isnt so much about being a regular on the board as it is being a 'regular' to the flash scene and i want to make that distinction very clear. Disrespectful behavior, and or arrogance because you have 2XXXXX posts is untolerated and you'll be booted. Noobs to the board are allowed just as much as the seasoned poster.

Lol Dep and Toast, i love you guys.

Broken Laptop

Fuck. My laptop broke. I can still use it and everything, but i can't close it anymore. Which means i can't bring it places now either. The right hinge broke into about 6 different pieces, but still attached on the side of the laptop. Basically if i close my laptop, the hinge will snap clean off. It's kinda like if you get pen cap, and bend the part in the middle alot. It starts getting really white, which means it's about to snap. That sounded confusing. I contacted HP and they said it would cost $300 for a fix on it. Not a new laptop, a new right hinge piece. I had problems with my laptop before. This is the last time i buy an HP. Picture shows where it broke.

I'll go back to my hole :(. Sorry for being an ass, just pissed off at various things, shouldn't vent it here.

First pc i had was a HP and it was god awful. Put it this way, in the first month, the graphics card fan overheated and unglued itself (was a custom hp one), the case side fell of so no it was really loud and to put the icing on the metaphorical cake, they hadn't registered xp, so i only had 30 days before it locked me out of features.

The programmer position in our power of 3 team seems rather haunted. First DawnofDusk quit on us, then we gained and lost Chaz. NOW were onto a new contender, he seems promising though so i'll keep you updated.

If this game gets finished... its gonna be sexy awesome :D

He felt that he wasn't up for a game this big, and its pretty big. but after talking with Coolio Niato he said that the stuff we were doing was still pretty basic. Either way, Coolio was unable to help either as he's in a group with rtil, but this new guy (brought to us by chaz) seems to be pretty good and knows what he's doing. :)

Dush-Ed-knee-yay

Almost as if it was french, but i'm not french at all ;)

It was a play off of my last name at one point, which is Duchnycz, even harder to prounounce, my friends mom was once like "hows that jordan duchednier feller" and it was kind of an insult for a while.

Once i'm lolsy famous on newgrounds i'll do a frontpage post that K-Guare did before "How do you pronounce my name" :P
