I want a topping of cake, which also has a topping of cake, and so on. It might take you a while and a lot of space, but it will be worth it.

For our current IT project we get to do animation on.. wait for it - Flash MX. Fuckin wonderful.

We had to pick a song and animate 30 seconds of it. To begin with I picked a song I thought I could make a kick ass animation out of but it turns out to get an A* it doesnt even need to look good.

All you have to include:
- Tweens (Motion, Shape)
- Property Manipulation (Alpha, Tint, Brightness)
- Sound
- Pictures from the internet
- An understanding of the tools

The examiners dont give a shit what it looks like as long as it includes them. So I ended up changing my 30 second clip to Shrooms by The Lonely Island.

Basically 34 seconds of "I'm on shrooms! ..YAYY!".

I'll show you what i've got so far when I can transfer it from the school pc's to ma pendrive.

basically, after we either win world skills or lose this one or until we lose, i'm going to put all of the skills videos into 1 big flash and submit them.

For each were given a theme that we don't know before were there,
For the Provincials, were given 6 hours to make a flash, for nationals its 14 hours. Im not sure about the Worlds. :/

You get to even use Flash for your ICT GCSE? Why?

When I did it, we just used Excel - I even asked if I could do mine in Flash and they said they wouldn't advise it.

I was going to be witty and make a signature with two gay men kissing, because cigarettes are called fags in england, but I decided against it. Google pictures came up with slightly too much cock for me to handle.

Holding the space bar makes pretty structure things.

Also, I liked how they included an elusive Octimino block (an 'I' shaped block made up of 8 blocks), allowing you to get an Octis (A tetris is a 4 line simultaneous clear, so an octis is an 8 line simultaneous clear).
First person to post a pic of that is awesome. And sad. But mostly awesome.

Ours is split into Units. Units 1 through 5 was basically that. Now Unit 6 is animation.

Today I had a Spanish AS and was then in "isolation" for 2 and a half hours before sitting English Lit GCSE.

Just thought i'd pop in to tell you guys about my rather uneventful day.

Also, on the topic of ICT GCSE, is anybody else doing OCR? I am allowed to bring 4 double-sided pages of notes into the exam...

ICT is compulsory in our school, but the exam is not. By taking GCSE ICT you opt for the exam and extra lessons on the subject.

But i'm in my first year atm so I have no idea about the exam.
