Do you have any further education after your college or does school provide that (cause you stay at school till your 18 yeah?)

18 is the end of high school for us, then we go off to college. The difference between a "college", a "university", and an "institute" here is just semantics really. Graduate school is an option for post-college but usually a specialized degree can function the same as a graduate degree, and most graduate programs are just given in a university anyway.

schools will often have their own sixth-form college within them aswell (some don't) in which case yeh, you can stay on at school all the way till 18.

But isnt that an alternative to a regular college route?

Then again you could go when you finish 6th form.

generally it is yes, the vast majority of people that leave sixth form who do further education will go straight onto university, and universities will in general, ask for A Levels, which are the courses you will do in sixth form.

Colleges generally offer a wide variety of courses, aswell as then offering A Level courses aswell for those who don't have access to a specialised sixth form college, or who's school doesn't have it's own sixth form.

Whoever started the university topic, i agree with ye as i'm there right now. I'm out of IB and technically have 4 more weeks of normal class, but its only 1 class a day. Finished my last IB exam today and im feelin gooooood. :D

Sucks that i still have to go to school for a few more weeks though, its like the hard classes are over i should just be able to quit math now D:

Computer Bullshit

So my computer got boned. I was using it and it froze with the screen turning into a portion of the current screen skewed and repeated 50 times. now I can't even get it to stay on for more than 10 seconds without it freezing up the same way. I talked to a friend and he says it sounds like something with the ram shorted out, and that I need a new motherboard, which sucks balls. I'm on my sister's computer now, which also sucks balls, because she has all these useless programs running on startup. And for icing on the cake I'm trying to use aim on her computer and the part that displays the conversation is blank, and an input window...

Can you get into BIOS? If so, check your voltages, if it keeps coming back on temporarily, since the bios normally starts before the RAM, it may be your problem.

are you able to explain more about how the BIOS can get affected, i have a 64bit 8gb ram pc and it sometimes doesnt start up, it sometimes freezes and had a couple of 'blue screens of death' but sometimes it works fine, i think its overheating of the ATI:( graphics card, you seem better at this than me so any help would be really apreciated :)

Whats the point of ALL THESE BLACKS?!

I mean, I understand like the farthest to the left row of black, as just to be THERE, but then after the grayscale there's a whole SECOND row too!

Count'em there's 25!

i will take your word for the 25, but i think its just for it too look cool and make it easier to you but then you do find yourself pressing the black squares accidently when you want that ugly red colour :)

well i always choose the one in the middle column i feel as if the black in the other column is like a different colour and ALWAYS change it, adobe maybe had some issues at head office and wanted the new cs3 of flash to be more ethenitcally friendly, who knows, maybe email them about it ? also you know malteasers, the inside of the box one is black as well, not white like the back of the packet should be...

Now I have to model a vehicle and animate it in Maya by Thursday >: / I have no idea about how to animate in Maya, if anyone knows of any simple tutorials hit me up. I don't need anything biggg.. just save myself trial and erroring it :P <3

Got my RE Shortcourse exam today, that's going to be interesting seeing as we haven't had a teacher for the past 2 years. My total notes sum up to 6 pages, so i've got no revision material either. Oh well, it's not even a real gcse.

Glaiels Game

Looks very good so far, albeit a bit confusing to watch. Still looks very nice though, once you've got a bit further i'd send a copy to valve, they are brilliant with funding indie games.

Haha, nice idea. A lot of people just drew for their exams. Not sure what i'm supposed to do for 2 hours when i haven't had a proper teacher for 2 years.

I had 5 different teachers for RS in the year I did the short course exam. The first was having a baby, so went on leave. Then she had a miscarriage so didn't return. Then we had some weird woman who just stood at the front and quietly whispered for everyone to be quiet. She left us to go do charity work in Africa some where, after ensuring us she wasn't going to leave us until after our exam. Then we had an idiot of a teacher who couldn't teach for shit. He just went off on tangents and failed miserably at getting anyone to listen to him. Then he started telling us how his wife threw him out so he was staying in his car. Then, finally, 2 weeks before the exam a Geography teacher, who's one of my favourite teachers took over and became the head of RS and citizenship even though she had never taught it before. Still got a B in the exam by just making stuff up :3
