Since the animators ran a bit frowntown the other day over Actionscript gabbing, here's something:
My first impression is that the spinny touch wheel is a much better alternative to the strips (anyone agree?). However as a left-handed artist I am somewhat hesitant about the buttons being on the left-hand side.
Hi there!

that is one sexy piece of work. maybe you can flip it though for the left handers.
also as a right handed aritst it would help a lot because it bothers me to lift my pen up higher then normal then press the button to do something.
pretty damn spiffy.

My bamboo fun is fucked, how much is one of these things? I guess its time to step it up a level....
Wacom Sexness 4
Looks great, although i can't see many differences other than the aesthetics. I love the pen holder with all the different tips in it, i can imagine it would look perfect at any designers desk :). My experience with wacom has been good, i reccomend em over any other brand.
Penis Palace
See what i did thar :P. Anyway, that's one hell of a joke, he must have really hated his parents or had a fuckload of time on his hands. Either way that is certainly something you don't see every day :D.
Fallout Drei
Anyone else (pc) been having problems with it? It's crashing every 30 minutes for me, and i have to have my gpu going at 90% fan speed (or hurricane katrina) to keep the thing cool.

I've had swain, ansel and other artists raving about the cintiq's... im feeling tempted to buy one. The only problem I have with it is that i wish i could 'rent' one for a week or two just to see if i can get used to it. I'm such a nazi mouse user that i think i'd need that week of cool off to really give it a chance and see if it will streamline my work. Also its 2 grand..

What?
Too complicated for me. My Wacom/Rollin' board works just fine and has a nice "worked" look. :3
But it does look rather shiney....
I like shiney.

I've had rain for two days... Over spring break... In Minnesota... Where it's very cold. It's just awful.

Leading up to spring break was awful here, spring break it sleep wasn't too bad..ignoring the first few days having snow.
I tried to draw with my wacom pen on my laptop screen, it didn't work.
I have trouble using a cintiq. It's perhaps the same phenomenon as learning to use a wacom in that you need to spend a month with it to actually learn to use it properly... but I found my arm got strained having it up on the screen for that long. I like when my arm is braced on the table like when typing or using a mouse.
Hi there!
I bought some cheap Wacom like two years ago, barely ever used it though. I simply can't draw, doesn't matter if it's with mouse or tablet.
But still, that Intuos4 looks pretty damn sweet :)
OnLive
Link. A service is about to be released where shitty computers can play decent games by streaming them, and that game is actually running on a server. Looks pretty damn awesome. You need a pretty decent intertube speed though, but any PC gamer will actually have that anyway.
Onlive
From what I've heard, and I haven't really looked into it yet, you need a very fast internet connection (7.5 mbps?) and for that you'll get content streamed at a 720p resolution. I believe the minimum is a 1.5 mpbs connection at which you'll get the content delivered at a standard-def resolution, which is like 720 by 480 for the yanks, right? Anyway, that would be unplayable on a computer monitor, I suppose it would be decent if you play it on a sd-tv. But It won't get you the same experience as you would with a 360 or PS3 (but then again the system is targeted at people without killer-pc's or computers so I guess those people won't care).
I don't think it will be a very successful system to play online games on either, I reckon there's gonna be some I/O lag, and if the servers go down you're fucked. It's interesting to see how this will work out though, this could be the future of gaming.
Hello? Directory Enquiries?
I'd like some tricks that are something ever so clever. Preferably ones involving disapearing a cow...
Americans: We turned directory enquires over to private companies a few years ago - they all begin with 118. Leading brands involve 118118 which are currently going with a Ghostbusters theme after running for a year with an A-Team theme, and this enjoyable slice of 'my god... the Internet is infecting real life too much' from the Yellow Pages...
...
Good to see the man is making some money though, our directory ads are much, much more irritating.

Was it in dedication to Liaaaam, by chance? Or does he just like the name?
