CONGRATULATIONS JAMROCK!
I wish he was a reg :(
May be spoilers ahead.. but probably not.
I saw the Watchmen last night (with a nice big group of 15 people.. that was chaos =o) and it was awesome. The ending was the weakest part of the film, but it was by no means bad.. just weaker than the other 11 chapters (so to speak). It's definitely a very good recreation of the novel which everyone said cannot be made into a movie.. and it was done damn well. A few things were missing of course (besides the island of creators and the subsequent giant squid) but nothing that really mattered. Of course I wanted to see the news vendor and the comic book kid but I know they're releasing a separate dvd/blu-ray animation version of that comic so I wasn't expecting anything there anyway. The watchmen were a bit too strong in the fight scenes - this made it seem more action packed and they were definitely very good fight sequences but in my opinion it deters from the point that these "superheros" are just normal people; the fact that a ~40 year old out of shape man can knock a man flying with a single punch is absurd. I guess it was worth sacrificing realism here and having the fights be more show-offy (I'm sure the mugging scene in the comic didn't have 15-20 knot heads did it?) rather than really technical like I expect the watchmens fighting style to be. Of course I expected the Comedian and Ozymandias to be super strong and the opening scene really demonstrated this very well. I was hoping to see Ozymandias catch a bullet but that was left out :( Anyway, the best performance and character was definitely Rorscach/Walter Korvacs - the actor looked perfectly like you'd expect from the comic (thanks to a heavy amount of make-up I'm sure) and he behaved and sounded just like you'd expect.. that was brilliant. During the boiling fat scene I was giggling at how perfect the "You're locked up in here with me" lines were pulled off. Seriously, Alan Moore needs stop being a douche and watch this movie and he will see how well it was done.
Not the perfect movie but an incredible recreation of the Watchmen, and overrall a very enjoyable film. A lot of people were kinda annoyed at the length but they all enjoyed it.
Also, the Watchmen game is quite fun.. I doubt I'll buy it (especially at the moment, I'm trying to not spend much til my next loan instalment comes through which is only at the start of next month so not long) but it's not terrible. Nothing special, whatsoever, but it's quite enjoyable.
Sup, bitches :)

Yeah I think I will, I want to get a better one though.
Has anyone got any recommendations? I liked my bamboo being small as it was really easy to take with me out and about, so im not looking for anything huge.
Nothing too expensive but I dont mind spending about £100 on it. Need something pretty to sit next to the macbook im getting when I get the Penguinz sponsorship money :)

I decided to go FAB!
check out what ive been working on for the last month. This game is really draining me, its not finished yet, gotta be done in 2 weeks.
I did all the art and coding, some of those transition animations took soooo long :P
Arrows to move/jump, space to change from dream to nightmare, CTRL to skip if you get stuck :P
You cant actually complete the snow level right now :) Try planting the seed though!
Its coming along well, I just want it to be over with now.

Whoa man, it really has been a while. I didn't even realize you were gone. :3
My copy of Resident Evil 5 came today (even though it's not meant to be out until tomorrow!), it's pretty good, it's a lot like 4, it even has identical wooden crates. Luckily there's online story mode co-op, because Sheva is a bit of a liability a times. (Run AWAY from the guy with the chainsaw you stupid woman!).
Any one else got it/getting it?

Oh and there's a dude in a helicopter called Kirk. IT'S LIKE I'M IN THE FUCKING GAME LMFAO.

I assume you have the PS3 version?
I'm getting it tomorrow on my break at work, for 360. Reviews seem to be a lot of complaining mainly about how it's not a scary series any more, and the controls. I don't care that it's not scary, and found the controls (like in 4), to be fine. I look forward to it.
KILLZONE 2
WOOOO! I GOT THE 10% AWARD!
its where you get in the top 10% of everybody in the world for that week. Or the US. Online.

Yeah, I read one review that complained that you couldn't move and shoot, but you've never been able to do that in any RE game. Also I don't think it's meant to be scary anyway, it's become "survival action" since 4. Plus it was never that scary in the first place, it was more BOO! BEHIND YOU! than actually scary. Silent Hill & Project Zero are the true survival horror games.

True, they were more of cheap scares in the other games (except for RE3, that game kept me on edge). Not something legitimately terrifying like Clock Tower (and, well, I've only played a bit of Silent Hill 1, but it was indeed scary).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot how much you loved flying around in copters. The game looks fun but I won't be picking it up. I'm very fond of the Resident Evil series because it's one of the few games I remember playing when I was younger.. but I can't afford it and I didn't like the control scheme =P

I doubt I've got it, I hardly played so far.. I got to rank 4 or maybe 5 (one where you get LMGs) and halfway to next rank. It's really fun, technically the best game I've ever seen.. the developers have done an amazing job with it. Not to say it's the best game in the world, I prefer MGS4 (also technically brilliant), CoD4, etc.. it's just amazing what they've done with it. Very fun to play, just not as fun as CoD4 which I recently rediscovered and I'm much much better at that so I've been playing that a lot.
I made a new PSN account (Newgroundsdotcom, TomFulp was taken >: () so if anyone plays CoD4 on PS3 and sees a rank 50-55 [www.]Newgroundsdotcom.. tis me ;) I have a k/d ratio of 2.. it should be higher but I keep getting put on teams full of retards and I don't have much fun on FFA despite winning every one I play =D
Sup, bitches :)
So I'm snacking on a bag of this "almond crunch" stuff which is like little bite sized cubes of almonds held together with a light coating of sugar or something, it's pretty good stuff and I've been eating out of this bag every now and then for the past few months.
I found an oxygen absorber in it today.
Who puts an oxygen absorber in a bag of food? Isn't that dangerous or a liability or something?

Cause they put those in beef jerky all the time.
The bag says "Almond Crunch" and "all natural" and "No cholesterol, Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegan, Wheat-free, No Preservatives"
ingredients: almonds, rice malt, cane juice, sea salt
So it's not really a processed food

Haha, my friend thought that was the beef flavouring
dick head :D
I've got Leeds Festival fever.. anyone planning on going to it or Reading this year? Or (best widen this topic up) any festival? V, Download, etc.. talk about it. I've never been to a festival, but a lot of my mates always go to Leeds Fest and I'm planning on going with my little brother this year.. a lot of speculation about what bands will be playing, none are confirmed until an hour before the tickets are on sale (30th March, 7pm) but Arctic Monkeys, Green Day, Anti-Flag, Rise Against, Glasvegas, Kaiser Chiefs, Slipknot, Radiohead.. a lot of bands speculated.. =p
Sup, bitches :)

I will not be going to England, but there is a festival here in Sweden that I am thinking about going to ever since I heard that Rise Against were coming. They have been my favorite band for years but this is the first time they play here :)
However, apparently they are not going to be playing on one of the stages, but in a club :( This means that space is limited and even if I were to buy a one day festival pass just to see them (the rest of the line-up seems pretty sucky atm) there are no guarantees that I will get in.
And for some reason the minimum age for that club is 13 while it's 18 for all the others :/
Ooh. I just realised one of my mates is a Newgrounder :) He hasn't contributed much, 3 flash (one of them actually awesome though he is a terrible voice actor) and 2 posts, but still awesome :) He's doing an animation course at my uni, and he's from Leeds (well, Barnsley).. so weird coincidence :P

Thats silly =/ They're a pretty big band.. maybe the acoustics are better in a club? (no.)

For the first time ever I met someone else who does Flash a couple of weeks ago, at my college. He's really good, although he doesn't hang around much on NG so his profile doesn't reflect that well.

I know :( I think the reason they are putting them in a club is because they don't think the interest is very big for them. While they are never played on the radio or anything over here, I still think that they have loads of fans here who will go to the festival mainly because of them though.
This festival generally have a different type of artists, so that might also be a reason for this. Lily Allen is probably the biggest artist they have as of now, and she kinda reflects the image they have :P
Think ill be going to Download this year, the lineups starting to look really interesting!
Cant complain about Dream Theater, The Prodigy, Faith No More and Slipknot :)
