If you want to drop 100 bucks bose in ears were excellent, one of the ears stopped working after a year with me though. I preferred them to earcanals since I could actually here people talk but still haveve decent sound cancellation. Or you could get some big ass over the ear headphones.
Those are ugly as sin headphones imo, skullcandy just isn't a company for me, I don't want to be wearing those expensive things on the snow, I think that was their original purpose.

You need to link it to GLUT and openGL but that's it.

so proving that 8^n is a multiple of 7 plus 1 would work then..

8^n = (7+1)^n = 7^a + C*(7^b) * 1 + D*(7^c) * 1 .... + Z*(7^1)*1 + 1; (binomial expansion, i replaced crazy constants with letters but you get the point, the constants don't much matter here)

first n-1 terms are in the form C * 7^x, and since 7^x is a multiple of 7 then C * 7^x is a multiple of 7 and adding multiple of 7 together is a multiple of 7.

Then the last term is a 1

I wonder if that would be allowed as a formal proof? I was looking for one involving modular arithmetic and induction :P

No one ever gives me math problems, so apart from actionscript (which is technically, in some sense, math) I don't do much math. In school we have like 4 hours of math lessons per week, but it sucks donkey balls. I was surprised at how easy those exercises were considering I'll have 3 more years until I actually need to do them, but there's a lot of them that I couldn't do due to vocabulary problems. For example, if there is an exercise that doesn't use any terms that I don't know, but requires some wise logic, I could probably do it. But a lot of times there's words like logarithm, exponential, etc. Maybe I should start wiki'ing that shit.

vocabulary is also a problem I have in this school year. I have to admit I never do any of the stuff we do in class, and I never do my math homework (a lot of people say it to boast, but I realise it is just a thing that shows your stupidity) but still I get close to the highest grades in my class. The areas that fail me into getting perfect grades are questions where you need to read the entire lesson and know all the vocabulary.

You missed that x = +- sqrt a so the answer is incomplete. Moreover, just write 3x^2 = 10 +- sqrt 6 and skip 80% of that.

I always show up in these forums to find that people are talking about actionscript and math. I don't know actionscript and i go to school for math, i don't want to do it out of school.

I just watched it again just now thanks to tom's fp post. The synching of all the parts is so perfect, it was like the perfect storm, where all the perfect ingredients (artists) for the project came together and made that work. Its like this huge collaboration that takes you in all sorts of directions and then at the end manages to wrap a bow and bring it all back together.

All of my submissions are crap. But I guess it'll have to be my first ever one, which will be 2years old in a week.
