lol, obviously 3789 is the distance from LOndon to Seattle. Also my profile only says Canterbury because that's where I go Uni. I am from London though.
If Canterbury and London were 5000 miles apart I'd have a hefty commute.

I could make it for a London meet. I live in Sheffield, uni @ wolverhampton. That sounds cool.

Evenr if he couldn't buy them, he could easily get hold of them, and its not as if our police force are top notch on catching underage drinkers/smokers
For those planning an NG meet up in 2007, there's the UK Web and Small Comic Thing Convention held at Queen Mary University in London every March. Weebl's been exhibiting there for two years now, and my friend Zoe's had a booth there since it was first set up.
So we could all raid that for a day. And then the over-eighteen-non-teetotal among us can go and get drunk or something down the road. It's a university- bound to be pubs around.

March, eh? That does sound awesome, but... I may have lectures on that day. Do you know the dates in March? I could always meet you guys afterwards for the booze-up if I do have classes.

That reminds me i'm going to London sometime next year with my college to watch a Sitcom. It's already been decided that the event will include locking up in our room and getting stoned & drunk, so maybe not meeting then :).
I'd love to have a car and just be able to driv eplaces. I think that, but then I always think that'd never happen, i'd never be bothered to go on a road trip, and it would never be Fear and loathing :).
Don't you love the feeling of relating sound to image, like I love it when i'm on the bus, just stewing in the corner or at the back like a king, then waterloo sunset comes on or maybe sunny afternoon, and I see the sun shining over the bay, and it's like wow. Same sort of thing I remember for my last day of sixth form. I was walking down the corridor, fiddling with my Mp3 player then put it in my pocket and Crash by the Primitives came on, and the second I opened the door there was a crash in the song, it just all fit so perfect.

Now, you wait a fucking minute Mr. Luis.
I need to head over there too sometime next year.... but not in the summer. Is this a coincidence? Some company on the plane would be nice.
Kirk said I can crash with him... which means lots of heavy drinking. Yay!
Also, I'm down for a secret Santa thing. I pretty much don't have a family.... and rarely recieve or give gifts, (unless friends get bored) so it could be kind of cool.

I was very drunk when I made that promise. =P
But yeah as long as you're not over in the sumer that should be cool. :)

Can't. They've always limited public access to that event. Press and Industry only normally, and next year it's being tightened even more

Scaled down to Invite Only. Down from 60,000 attendies to something like 6,000 they're expecting... last I heard.
Oh, in gamesy-newsy stuff, the Christmas edition of Edge has Chris Crawford in it unveiling his Interactive Storytelling program. Whoo. ^_^

Just like that drunken promise never to beat me again....
I just got a new tablet :)
k well i got myself a wacom volito 2 for £31 on amazon and im far from complaining. I have to say , just beacue its a wacom and it was new i got really excited when i saw the box last night. But it was only when i opened it i was really in for a pleasnt shock- the tablet is only like 3.5mm thick (lol measured) and it fits really well with my slightly macabre black pc. I quickly insatlled teh software with no prblems and the tablet itself works amazingly well- the active area is about 13 x 9.5 cm and textured so it feels like drawing on paper- its actually really well done. The pressure sensor is also really good, a really slight push down acts as a click, much like on real paper when drawing and its just a really good tablet. The tablet also has prssure sensitivity which can be used in flash, and propably other image editing/ drawing software.
Any serious artists or animators that are young or broke or both should really get themselves one of these if theyre looking for good price and quality from a tablet.
plus it comes with some free software
and its just wicked. yeah.
