I cant believe how many of you votee on your own stuff, i did when my flash was in the armor games contest and i was angry cause it was getting voted down by some people. It went down about .03 each day, then as the contest was over it didnt go down at all. So naturally i voted it back up to the score it was a day after it got though the portal about .1 higher. Lol .1

I have this thing called the NG toolbar which a few of you may have, that helps too.. although haven't really used it alot. I don't like voting on stuff, i'm quite hypocritical and tend to put something down before i've even watched it especially in the portal.

Yeah same here. When i see a title with madness or final fantasy in it, it's an instant 0. But when i see a cool title it's an instant 5. Same case with some flash artists. Artists who i think are overrated get 0's and the good ones 5's. Voting i do usually pretty quickly, but im more cautious with writing reviews.
I dont vote as much as i used to do though, it gets tiring after a while.

I don't really vote 0 myself its kinda unfair unless of course its some under judgement stick movie about final fantasy mixed with madness, then I vote 0 LOL. I pretty much vote 5 on Br's Climate Control every day and five birds of a feather, I love those two flash!

I used to fiven my own submissions, but I'm moving away from it because it isn't really effective anymore. Thanks to FSF and FSFF, my BA is as pretty as it will ever need to be. If I am in a rush and I want to bank some experience I might from reflex, but I'm trying to move more into voting on stuff UJ or top 50 stuff.

The main reason why I stopped voting on UJ submissions was because I used to use Opera, and the blasted web browser caches everything. So every time I would watch an 'under judgement' flash, it would either already be deleted, or it would have a score. It was just repelling to refresh the page every time I visited, so I stopped visiting. Recently, though, Opera wouldn't let me sign into NG anymore so now I use Firefox which is is just as good or better in everyway except: 1)Opera has a better 'page is almost loaded' bar. It displays speed, images loaded, images left, Kb loaded and stuff like that. 2)EVERYTHING was in one window, everything opened in tabs, much cleaner 3)virtually no pop ups or unders 4) You could maximize the NG profile windows.

I almost always vote 0 on the new flash because it's most likely to get blammed because less then a third of it make it on Newgrounds. And usually it's crap by people using microsoft sam as every voice and a motion and shape tweens for movement.

I used to care a great deal, when the system would take into account EVERY flash you made or were co-author of. Now that it's only the top 3 flashes I don't feel that it's such a barromiter of a persons skills and effort, and I don't mind having a few sub-par flashes under my name. I still care, just not as much, I want it to go higher, but it really cant go lower without some kind of organized flash blamming.

You can set that option in the options of firefox. I have so all popups open in tabs intead of new windows. You can also middlemouse click something to open the link in a new tab.

even when we did have that old system of including every submission, i still didn't care. I still submited shitty things every once and a while. i could have cared less.

I don't do it for my BA, i do it because i want to deposit, and well this way's like killing two birds with one stone. I just pick 5 random flashes of mine to vote though, i don't necessarily pick my top 3.

I would porbably fiven my own stuff because it would increase my chances of a better score or it being in the portal.
If it gets through the portal and I fiven it then or earlier, people will see a higher score and might vote a bit higher if they normally would, thus causing them to sway with the crowd.

Cool but make sure that when you are running a flash movie that you turn off that animation or have it load and replace that page because your going to get major lag. It was an issue i ran into with my own site, where i had bubbles tweening up and when someone watches a movie having two different flash environments processing brought the processor to its knees.

Ya, I got complaints for the new header on my site, so I made it so the effect of my banner only happens when someone rolls over it with the mouse.

K, my mum has installed this fricking gay program, "parental control" mainly for my sister but its bugging the shit out of me. I tried uninstalling it but now im no longer an admin so i solved that by simply deleting it of the c drive. But i need to find out about this program for when they re-install it. Im banned from the internet and i gues this will be for after my GCSE's. Im on now cause i deleted it >:(
