So for those unaware, SomethingAwful have a pound of sand in their vaginas about Newgrounds for reasons even they can't properly convey. It is by far the least of a million evils, but as they inadvertently confess in the article, they pretty much hate things for being popular. Maybe it was meant to be tongue in cheek, but it's just true. As a disclaimer, I read SomethingAwful for its funny moments (Flash Tub, Fashion Swat... etc?), but much like Maddox, they've really hated their way into a corner, creating an incredibly narrow breed of humor that causes a lot of repetition and tedium they could do without.

A lot of what they say is true, but it's all the superficial stuff that almost any passerby could pick out and harp on. And before that people from Europe came to visit and that was fun too... just a busy August. Things will settle down though. I'm leaving next week for the Caribbean with my girlfriend. It's our five year anniversary on that trip.

I'm off doing my DofE expedition, in the pouring rain, with people i don't know, so that should be fun :(.

All they do is complain and make up pointless slander, which is completely unfounded about every single site they can find. As you said, there site is based upon the critisism of others, a very boring, very annoying way of keeping a site alive.

First day at college

(College here is 16-18 btw, I know in other places its our University)

Short story: Twas a pretty alright day and I can see my time at college is gonna be alright.

Long story:

*MOST BORING BIT* So got up at 6.30am just to get to college on time which really pisses me off as I have to get to train station 20mins early or so just to beat the fucking queues for train tickets. Won't be so bad when I've got my season pass, I suppose. This wasn't really a major point of the day, it just fucks me off.

First lesson was History. Twas okay. All we really did was talk about the word 'revolution' and differences to revolt etc which wasn't particularly fascinating but it was better than it sounds. And got to know some people in that class which was cool.

Then had computing. I was prepared for it to be dull seeing as I already do quite a lot of programming but not this dull. We had to write a simple PASCAL program, with a sheet which has the code on it, involving only output then one that involved input too. Then we had to make How fun? Then the teacher and the whole class still managed to fuck it up and didn't realise you had to save before you could compile and run the program. So I had to save the whole class, and the teacher, and tell them. *sigh* I'm hoping it shouldn't be too bad though because I finished it within a few minutes and he just said do pretty much whatever, but there was only 5mins left, as we had to fill out a form first, so I didn't bother doing anything. But in future hopefully I can get on here or muck around in Flash.

Next up was further maths. This was pretty boring as we didn't do anything but I'm worried about my teachers sanity. She makes you set everything out EXACTLY how she wants it and then well... to sum it up "Give the boy a banana" is one of her sayings.

Finally had physics, just your ordinary lesson really nothing too amazing.
