Well is it me, or during the summer, all of you movies that you were working on become the thing of the past? Like, you have a movie that you've almost completed but then the dreaded summer comes and you forget all about it.

People are submitting absolutely anything these days. Every day, You're guarenteed to see a file below 500kb. I even say a 5kb file a few days back. People are even submitting demos 5 minutes before the finished project is released, with the games sucking anyway. Flash noobs just seem to be so full of themselves these days.

File size is pretty irrelevant with the quality of a flash man. I'd rather watch a ridiculously funny animated short that goes for like 10 seconds, then an average animation or game that takes 3 minutes to load. As I'm sure most of us do.
But, seriously, even if they are a little new to flash or are extremely excited to show the world their stuff that they feel the need to release a demo, let them. Pretty sure it doesn't really affect us, and it's what this site is all about man; everything, by everyone.

You're probably on too easy a difficulty setting :P Gameplay is a lot more intense and lasts a lot longer when you have to be on your toes all the time and watch patrols to avoid getting your face blown off.

As far as the whole thing goes, it's either a really, really great game (if you skip all the cutscenes especially) or one of the best movies ever created.

I have the feeling I'm getting pretty close to the end.

I like Lost Odyssey because it's so cinematic and the graphics are gorgeous but it ends up being 4 discs. I wish the cinematics in that game were longer because the transition from cinematic to gameplay almost breaks the spell of the game. I'm curious to see how MGS4 stacks up.

I don't think I could sit there for more than five minutes...especially THIRTY just watching a cinematic. It might actually kill me, with the thought that I could be shooting up badguys at an infinite rate. That's torture.

Just think about it this way, it makes your stuff look better!

It's also what makes Nwgrounds...Newgrounds, because it's not just the best of the best, and allows new people to make things and grow / develop into better animators and actionscripters. I feel like its a great aspect to the site.

Thankfully they've included a pause option during cut-scenes this time round. I never got why games didn't use to do that to begin with.

Today I was walking through my neighborhood when I noticed that someone's screen fell off their window from the third story and was now sitting in the middle of the road. I went up to the front door to tell my neighbor. Some woman answers.

"Hey, your screen is in..."

"YES WE KNOW."

"Okay, well I was just going to tell you, I just didn't want it to get run over."

So I start walking over to pick it up so I can move it to the side of the road for them.

"DONT PICK IT UP! DONT MOVE IT!"

Now the husband wonders what's going on, so he comes over and starts telling me not to pick it up as well. So I have two people yelling at me not to move it or pick it up.

"Okay, I was just worried."

So I walk off, screen still in the road and just yelled at. I guess that's what I get for trying to help.
