sure you are :P
it means that when you set flash settings (like frame rate) you'll choose the background as white color, so it won't conflict with other's flash files, but it doesn't mean you can't draw your own background... in fact you must do it :D

The worst thing just happened to me today....
I was working on my par tin the collab, and I was almost finished, when I click on the paint bucket tool and flash closed on me.
Lucky me, I didn't save.
So, if the deadline is anytime soon, don't be expecting my part, because now I have to start it all over again and the past 3 days have been a complete and utter waste. >:(
