So, your telling me your only hardware is you and a mic... This means you installed all that software on you and your mic? I don't have nearly that much disc space or the RAM to run that... lol

Two or three at least - but hey, why the hell would anyone want to see if a similar topic already exists right?

Apparently it's much more fun this way. Tomorrow there will be another one of these, three more to ask for software recommendations, two more asking about the downloads needed to get a gold record, three more that all bitch about zero voters, two to say "Hi there, I'm new", and four spam topics.

Besides, this is just a variations of "What software does everyone use" anyway...

What are the advantages of having both reason and fl studio? Doesn't reason completely blast fruity loops out of the water?

well....yes it does...but reason does not support some of the qualities that Fl has there's pro and cons to both programs...but the catch with reason is...that if u don;t have a keyboard u can't rele do anything with it

What is soundforge. Is that like a thing that enhances your song or something. I would like to have something like that for FL6, but I'm short on cash. Let me know if there are any good free programs out there!

* sigh

AMD Athlon 64 3700+
1 BG ram
1.2 TB total storage
Dual display 21" LCD + 19" CRT

I'm assuming we're only talking about audio apps right? ok here are the main ones:

AcidPro v6
Adobe Audition 1.5
Computer Muzys 1.5
Hypersonic 1
Kompakt le
Reaktor 5
Reason 3
Sound Forge 8

a shiteload of freeware and other VST's/VSTi's that are just taking up space.
a ton of little apps like Moonfish, Taureg, Granulab, ReBirth, Magix mmd, this that and the other...

That pretty much covers audio I think.

I do :). It's all nice and stuff, but I don't use 90% of it anyway. It's pretty much just gearporn. My main workhorse at the moment is my PC, Ibanez Destroyer, Bass, Guitarport, and SM-58.
