I wouldn't mind taking over this list if you haven't picked someone else yet. This has been my favorite stat list throughout my stay on Newgrounds, so I would really like to see it going on. Sure, I'm slowly getting ancient as well, but with my mod duties and my obsession with the top 50 on this list, I don't see myself going anywhere. Just let me know how you feel about it!

I know this time has been coming for quite a while now and it's totally understandable. I'm maxed with the Hexalist and B/P updates, so hopefully Nijsse can do the job! Also, I would suggest getting in touch with Cyberdevil about hosting for the EXP list, if you do end up taking over.

Now that I've got this out of the way, I'm going back to playing Pokemon X!

I played a newer Pokemon game recently and I gotta say, it's nowhere near as good as the old ones. Seems like they're really out of ideas and just making Pokemon out of anything they see -like, hey I got me a keyboard Pokemon and a monitor Pokemon! :D

I gained 230 Exp while others gained 280... that means I slipped more than once. And I think I didn't deposit yesterday. Ok, that's just how things are at the moment. Newgrounds/Depositing has been a part of my life for quite some time now (since 2005), but right now other things just are more important to me, so I do forget to deposit every now and then. There once was a time where I simply couldn't understand why some users "forgot" to deposit, but now I am one of those users myself, heh.

A shame, but an inevitable one I suppose! Glad to see there are people willing to continue the list though.

Now that I've got this out of the way, I'm going back to playing Pokemon X!

I can't seem to complete any of those games. After finishing the storyline motivation for collecting the remaining critters just eventually fades away... and they keep adding more! :(

I've decided to make the next update on 3rd November just so it's not being put aside by other events that I have for the following two weeks of that. So update #69 will be a 3-weeker while the last one will be a 5-weeker and I think for a final update the slightly bigger gap looks better for a send off.

You and Painbringer are some of the users who I'd like to see take over the list but only one can possibly be the list holder. Seeing as you expressed interest first, I will be approaching you first to go through with what you need to do for the whole update procedure. It's possible that you might find your own ways but I did a step-by-step instruction for Metal-Therapy/Dev started the hexalist update and that helped him so I don't mind doing the same to help you out with these updates.

I did go through some background work to make sure the update was looking all good so other things were bound to be overlooked. I forgot to include the Halloween icons with the writer aura so that meant additional work for the update and I kept messing things up.

Anyway, I hope I'll be level 60 by the time the last update comes.

You'll easily make it on the final update of mine. I wish I stopped at either when I reached the top 100 or getting to level 60 but one was too soon while the other will take far longer than how long I want to keep this up.

The way I look at it, if I lost all motivation to deposit my alts, there's a chance I may lose my interest in depositing my main somewhere down the line. I'll see when the day I slip up with depositing arrives but that's only if it was entirely unintentional. Even to this day I have only missed nine deposits which is something when I've been doing this for nine years now.

I don't know what these circumstances are, but if you're no longer in a position to do these updates, feel free to PM me the update procedure (a step-by-step instruction seems best) and be done with it. Knowing you a bit I expect you want to go out with an awesome (yearly?) update, but just so you know, I'm ready whenever you are. =)

EXP update #69 is now available!

Hello all and welcome to the belated 69th EXP update. Several things to note:

• Halloween icons are still hanging around on the site so they still remain here as well.

• This is my second to last update and there is someone in mind that I would like to pass the EXP updates over to so hopefully he can do everything that I did before and perhaps he might be able to put his own twist to additional statistics just like what Dev/Metal-Therapy has done to the B/P and 10k lists that I did. That said, I'll still need to provide a step-by-step guide on how to make these updates for my successor so hopefully I can motivate myself to do that just before I retire.

• Pimp broke the 50k barrier for EXP so here's hoping he can gain another 50k at some point but I have my doubts that I'll even see that happening since who knows where we'll all be by then.

• Another purge had to be done on my EXP updates so only the 4 year special update and onwards are available. However, if Cyberdevil does go ahead with archiving all my updates on his site then you'll get to see everything on his site when that happens. 50k is a pretty amazing achievement, I'm still not even halfway there. Guess I should say Congrats!

I've managed to reach Level 57 this morning and looking it over, I'm level (for now) with Biofreak42069. Given a few more days, perhaps I can even eclipse him. southy and Dekathos lurking just above as well, should make easy fodder for the next month and my unending pursuit of the Top 50!

Looking back, I've managed to Coop both gfoxclock and Blitz-Mage over the past month, so I'm almost in the Top 75, now :D

Bloody hell, I finally did it. It feels very anticlimactic, for some reason I was expecting it to have much more of a kick, but I'm in the top 50.

So if I'm understanding correctly, you're going to need to vote 10 times to deposit your 10 exp now? I'd say that more casual users who don't happen to vote 5 times in a day probably aren't going to care much that they got 1, 2, 3, or 4 experience points. This just makes more work for the users who actually care about their experience rank and deposit on a daily basis... The "double exp" on weekends also sounds a bit silly.

Why can't they just add some new ranks/features to the B/P ranks for a change instead??

I think it was something like that where you where able to chose to deposit your exp even if you hadn't voted on 5 submissions.
I like the idea of "merging" all the portals exp wise. This should bring more attention to the art and audio portal.
I also like the idea of reducing the complexity. Right now we have a vote score and a review score. Confusing for newbees... I know I was confused about that when I first started coming here. ;)

i agree, i spend every other second on the art portal, i think it might encourage people to vote as well as view.

also wondering if the persons voting power will actually effect your vote instead of it counting as 1 on the art portal.

My take on the whole potential changes for depositing. Voting on ten entries a day might be a little tiring but I welcome the fact that votes will apply to any portal so it won't restricted to just games and movies anymore. It makes it easier to deposit on the phone as well since only a limited number of content from games and movies can be viewed. My older Android phone was able to play audio submissions but games and movies was another matter.

Only thing I'm not so sure about is the double EXP on weekends as Tom talked about on his other post. I suppose seeing as all of us have the chance to get the double points, it's not so bad and it's on a fairer scale than what I've heard being suggested in the past. If they're going ahead with that one idea, I'd like it if they made it Friday-Sunday for double points so each week you would earn up to 100 EXP. I like my round numbers.

I like the idea of he EXP in all portals, also allow Rank (B/P VP bonus) in all portals too. the idea of double EXP weekend be it friday-sunday would mean 100 EXP a week which wold equal 400 EXP a month which means 4,800 EXP a YEAR. and one could easily level up and get higher levels than what the current system allows. of course that would give US higher levels a even better advantage. ;)

This is basically how Nuclear escalation works - someone at the top of the heap is going to get the most experience possible and allow them to stay ahead of you, no matter what happens.

well where I sit in the EXP ranks I would have to say I am medium sized fish ;)

Changes don't look so great for my situation. If I'm reading that correctly, you'll only be able to vote (and get EXP) on each submission once? For a long time I haven't had time for content, I spend the time I have elsewhere, so for now I'm mostly collecting stats. I suppose if art counts that would make it not very time-consuming, as long as it's clear how many more votes you can do so I don't forget about double weekends and such. But I guess my case isn't worth consideration because I'm not adding anything to the site by always voting on stuff I've already seen.
