A Smile

I will officially close the competition in one (1) hour.

No more contributions will be accepted after that.

The next round will continue in a new thread (I will post a link to the next thread in here later) and judgment may take one day (This Monday that is depending on when the judges send me their votes). Those judges who have not sent me their vote by today will not have their vote included in the first round (To not keep the next round on delay).

We judge the contributions after effort, whether they have followed the rules and mostly if there is an intention behind the poem, if the poem strike it's readers and so on.

Right, i'm making another entry

Oh where was my cheese?

I woke up this morning and went to my fridge
Thereupon my cheese was lost
I searched for it high, i searched for it low
But sadly, it was to no cost

I decided it might be in the front room
So i trotted in there to see
But all i could spy was crackers from before
No chedder, stilton or brie

I thought 'how peculiar' and looked in the cupboard
No luck, no sign, no trace
I only had it last night, i remember it well
Although i was off my face

By now i was trembling, my eyes were fierce
As i needed my dairylea fix
I demanded to know who had taken my cheese
and replaced it with a twix

Now i lie down, sweaty and white
