Slash, I love your choice of words in saying one will get 'Lotus-ized' in boot camp, I'm not too harsh on a person though, assertive, but not an ass. ;)
You will force them into a Lotus position. TAKE THAT HOW YOU WILL.
Very nice, my own position, not the traditional one, I mean, I have to put my own twist on it. XD
So, with boot camp, will it be left to my judgment as to who needs it, will others appoint people they feel need it, or will it be a mix of the two?
When we're discussing a potential new recruit, members will be able to recommend Boot Camp if the prospective is lacking in an area or two (but not lacking so much that they shouldn't be allowed in). Now, if someone is having problems, whether we recommended (rather, required) them to undergo an adjustment period, you can handle that, along with offering it to people at your discretion.
Sounds good to me, I'm just waiting for someone new to come about, not really to hassle them, but just run them through the basics, let them know our style of doing things, and point them in the right direction with everything. :)
So yeah, pretty much a mix. I suspect most of it will be me telling people "yes, you're allowed in the Barracks, but unless these conditions", but there might be some of you or another EGB member saying "oh shit, we didn't realize how much this guy sucked at [this]", lol.
Rofl, I gotcha, so basically play it by ear. If someone is said to need help with something, or admits it, then I'll give the 'problem area' a look, and use my discretion at figuring out what should be done, whether it be just telling them the basics, or pointing out problems areas and attacking them head on. ^.^
If the problem wasn't addressed at their acceptance, use of PM by you or another member can spare them from being called out in front of everyone.
Sounds great, it's really something I would like to do with others over the PM system, as to not point out their 'flaws', and seem as if I'm waving them in their face. I would say something publically though under two conditions, one being if they ignore warnings and help to correct something, and persist in doing wrong, and two being if they just need a general outline of things. I'd like to give the outline publically since it will not only help new member, but also allow those here who may have forgotten some things, a refresher. :D
