That pretty much happened when Afro_Stud was still making his 'Adolf Hilter' series -- a bunch of newbie spammers (namely people like yoshi77777) realised that anything with a similar title to the Adolf Hitler series would pretty much guarantee passing through the portal. I think that warning was really more of a scare tactic to stop the endless stream of spinoffs from that single series, and it worked, as we don't get any of those submissions anymore. Like you said, though, there's still other kinds of shit out there.

Like the "PigletFace" series. I hate those so much, it's unreal.

Hugely important day for me tomorrow, I'll be getting my Leaving Cert results, and finding out what I'll be doing next year in college (and the rest of my life probably).

Realistically speaking there will be one of two outcomes:

1. I do well enough to get Medicine in Cork (I wanted to be a doctor for years), meaning I have to move out soon (so I have to look for accommodation FAST).

2. I don't do well enough, so I will be doing Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry in Limerick, plus side is I don't need to move out yet, and if I get a 1st or 2nd class Honours Degree then I can apply to do medicine as a grad student in 4 years.

Alright! Another 92 and I've reached 5k B/P and Sergeant rank! But I'm still only 200 ahead of Phantomlassuk, and 300 behind Heaven. And once I pass Pinoyguy, I hit a brick wall, being 1,400 back from Grammar, and that's if he doesn't move.

I'm just going to focus on getting Heaven; he passed me a long time ago, and I think it' s time for me to regain the #39 spot.

Yeah, idiot-buster joined ahead of you at #25, which is why you went down a rank. Technically you weren't passed by anybody though, which is why you (or anyone else lower than rank #25 for that matter) had a -1 by their name.

LordZeebmork was one of the users who was apologising to Wade after the whole fiasco with sQueef being deleted. He said that he didn't want his account deleted, and apologised to Wade, saying he wouldn't do it anymore. Wade's usually very forgiving, so he got away with it, but it just goes to show Zeebmork's character if he is indeed at it again.

I don't think it's necessary for him to submit spam just because he "doesn't care about the site anymore". If he really doesn't care about NG, he should just leave.

Afro_Stud doesn't like the BBS anymore apparently, so he never posts these days. I think his qualms stemmed from something to do with the way the BBS was moderated, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

Yeah thanks for covering my ass, I will probably do the next two updates to make up for it. But alas life happens and I just got home from it, my break is longer than I thought it was going to be but at least I am keeping up some kind of pace. i will be around for Clock Day all day, 24 hours just for giggles.

I won't bore you with details, but the long and short of it is that I did really well (better than 95% of the country apparently) but just missed out on medicine.

While on one hand I can't do my first choice course now, on the other hand I will get to stay at home and do Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry in UL, and then I could do a post-grad course in medicine, so I wind up with the same qualifications either way (although it is more expensive this way).

Oh well. Good luck for that. My plans are to do the first year of an undergrad English Literature degree and then convert to Law after that. Fun.

To be honest with you I'm using this course to get my primary degree so I can apply for post-grad medicine. I've wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can recall. And if for some reason it doesn't work out, then I would have the Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry degree to fall back on.

Now I just need to send off my DSA form and apply for a Citzenship card since my Connections card expires next year on my Birthday which would leave me with no ID :(

Yeah, I got mine today too. I think we're the early birds, because some people the majority of people don't get theirs for another month apparently. I was pleased to see I got a maintenance grant on top of my loan, so I'm getting a decent amount of cash to tie me over for the year.

My letter doesn't say when the money gets paid into my account, though. I imagine it must be around the same time as yours seeing as we both got the letter today.

You ought to take a look at this.

Another slow week here (though I can't say much). Mendou regained the top spot, even though the difference is small compared to the 2nd place, Metal-Therapy, who's probably working right now. lilhunter had a major drop on his pace, and aldlv took the chance and reduced the difference.

I did all my forms way back in May I think, after printing them all out off my PC because the Student Finance place refused to send me a copy to my house, they just said print it. That cost quite a bit of ink, lol. DSA I haven't sorted yet though, so I might be a bit late with that :s

I think I did mine in June, but for some reason I got moved towards the front of the queue, so to speak.

I remember having to print out my tenant's agreement... 35 pages worth of ink :/

It's all about budgeting -- something which many of my friends failed at in their first year. I hope to put them to shame with my hopefully excellent budgeting skills, but we shall see ;P

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been here pretty much...all summer but I wanted to let you all know I should be back. I only told the NGDD before leaving, but my I found out a while ago that my dad has Leukemia, and it was pretty tough to deal with. I'm almost positive I'll be back on NG now, and I'll make sure to catch up on the last few pages.
