You most definitely meet the criteria! Welcome aboard!

First thing you should do is read the Barracks FAQ at our forums. Then, if you don't have any questions (and if you do, PM me), sign up there so I can validate you and give you full access.

Other than that, just keep on B/P'ing fairly and reporting abuse to us, and you'll do fine here!

Yeah, that game is great, but a little hard, in my opinion. But it deserved the daily 1st place.

I found it pretty easy, until level 8 or 9. Then it just got ridiculous.

I have a recomendation as well. I was at the portal when it came out:

I also was there when it was in the portal. But I thought that game was so much harder than Ether Cannon.

Meh, it's alright. The first one was really hard, and sometimes the buttons didn't always work. This is a little easier, and the button presses do work, but it's only half a step up from the first one.

With waterlollies, I'm not sure that it still has the same novelty value, as while it has moved forward, the series isn't as revolutionary as before.

Granted, when you consider that the filesize of Bitey was 3.2 Meg and that Waterlollies was something like 12 Meg, we're talking 4 times the size, so he can improve quality and length in ways that we do not notice.

My point is that the flash that surrounded Bitey were not in the same league for graphics, style and portrayal. While they inevitably had humor, it was a truly spectacular void between this and the rest. Now, the gap is somewhat smaller, as Adam hasn't really pushed on ahead as much as the competition has made up ground.

With waterlollies, I'm not sure that it still has the same novelty value, as while it has moved forward, the series isn't as revolutionary as before.

True, but Bitey does look better in 2007 then he did in 2004. But you're right; the graphics, even though they are impressive, don't have that "amazing" factor to them; it's just more of the same from Phillips.

Granted, when you consider that the filesize of Bitey was 3.2 Meg and that Waterlollies was something like 12 Meg, we're talking 4 times the size, so he can improve quality and length in ways that we do not notice.

Yeah, and he learned programming a bit; he even said that there are scenes that are entirely actionscripted. Granted, on slowly computer (i.e. mine), the frame-rate drops, but the quality in both length, story telling and graphics is drastically improved. Not only that, but the music is wonderful. Ignore he got the guy (Nathan McCree) who did the music for the Tomb Raider series (which, in my opinion, is some pretty damn good music).

But I feel Adam has pushed ahead further. Most flash movies today are 2-3 minutes of some basic story-line. But Adam's newest flash is easily the deepest story of any single movie. Granted, there are series that have amazing depth to them, but they don't have as broad of an appeal as Phillips has made his newest flash. I feel a deal will come out of the newest addition to the Brackenwood forest.

Well, I dunno. The water is ALWAYS amazing from Adam Phillips, but that's his specialty anyway. Always has been.

Deep story? Dude, his story this time SUCKED. It SUCKED. Deep story. PFFT to that! It was dumb.

Adam Phillip's appeal to his Flash is the graphics. They are unmatched. Beautiful, gorgeous, I've never seen such impressive graphics by anyone, but to tote his "story" around like it's this great thing is foolish. Mostly very fanboyish. His stories the last TWO Flash have been thin and pretty boring. Bitey - great and new, Prowlies - funny, Littlefoot - great, Yuyu - What? Sucked, Waterlollies - umm.. got any ideas left Adam? This sucks....

Maybe it will make for some future Flash form him, but Waterlollies was boring. I long for Brakenwood after watching this rubbish.

And by rubbish I mean the story. It's totally lacking. Obviously he makes up for graphics which are totally, disgustingly good, but if he we gaged on story alone... BLEH! He would get a C or a D, no doubt. His pure awesome graphics are what his work is about, his story is lacking.

It may have been dumb, but the story was obviously the deepest. It reminded me of a cartoon on TV, only for little kids. I mean, it wasn't too deep as stories go, but for a singular flash to have as much story as it did was an accomplishment.

but to tote his "story" around like it's this great thing is foolish. Mostly very fanboyish. His stories the last TWO Flash have been thin and pretty boring. Alright, Bitey for it's time was great and new, and Prowlies was pretty funny, but Littlefoot wasn't good. In fact, I feel it's the worse one out of the bunch. The Yuyu was good because it was action-packed, and the cloud thing was the most original creature I've ever seen (it came out before Lost did it). Waterlollies was just a push in a new, more....not commercial, but television-oriented direction.

Maybe it will make for some future Flash form him, but Waterlollies was boring. I long for Brakenwood after watching this rubbish.

I agree, Waterlollies was pretty boring and the humor is childish, but like I've been saying, he's trying to go for the Saturday-morning cartoon deal and make some real money. As good as the classics are, they are more of just a set-up for something bigger Adam Phillips wants to do.

Without a doubt, the graphics have improved over the three and a half years. From someone who we have come to expect things like this from, I would be dissapointed if he didn't make the effort :P

Yeah, and he learned programming a bit; he even said that there are scenes that are entirely actionscripted. So he's got some good music. I've seen Flash movies with great music that hasn't done the movie justice. His animation does the audio justice and vice-versa.

But I feel Adam has pushed ahead further. Most flash movies today are 2-3 minutes of some basic story-line. But Adam's newest flash is easily the deepest story of any single movie.

Depth? Nah, I'd prefer to watch Xombie for plotline. Seriously, the whole concept of Phillips being a great storyteller is old. He needs to find a decent writer, to give him some damn good ideas, so that he can come up with a good movie to rebound from this decidedly average (by his own lofty standards) Flash movie.

Hey guys! Just thought I'd drop in to let you know that I'm not dead... Or atleast not quite yet.... Anyway, I've been EXTREMELY busy, not just with ordinary life, but with other things. One thing being story writing, and then there's my relationship and then there's a long list of boring crap that none of you most likely want to hear from me. I won't be quite as active as I normally was. I'll try to spare some time to B/P and come around here though.

What did I miss?

A lot of talk about the waterlollies flash by Adam, personally I think it's good, but I wanted to see what's up with those little creatures that appeared at the end of littlefoot.

Still, I think it's pretty well done.

So I didn't miss anything totally major, right? *changes subject* Although his flashes are well done, they lack something. Perhaps a clear purpose? Anyway, for some reason they aren't as fulfilling as I think that by now they should be. Oh and by the way, when I mentioned stories earlier, check my profile for yet another installation of my story.

Lots of people have higher than average expectations for their favourite series. That is why Blockhead works so well, as the randomness in it prevents you from expecting Blockhead to do some sort of set routine of destruction. With things like Xombie, you expect violence, followed by a suspenseful ending... except the last one :(

But that's a series. Yes, it is a good plot line, but Phillips is doing a story inside of a single flash, something very hard to do because of filesize limits and the amount of time it would take to make that one flash, rather than a bunch of little ones.

Yes, to me, as I've said so many times, the story in Waterlollies isn't meant for the internet, and especially for the Newgrounds community; it's meant for little kids to show them the importance of being nice to people, and the humor shows that it was aimed at the wee ones.
