hey everyone How was everyone's day? Mine was full of surprises. I went to an open mic night and resited some poetry today. after that I went to go see the movie Norbit did anyone else here see it yet It was LOL funny. Lastly I got an upgrade now I got a rusty pipe instead of my old baseball bat I had so many memories with it but the time to retire my bat happened.

I can't really think of much- the main controversy seems to be about a flash that was deleted that attacked Wade's wife. He removed it for obvious personal reasons, and I think deleted the account of the user, but many people (SS mostly) are moaning about freedom of speech etc. I'm with him though- it is one thing bashing an event, even a shocking one like 9/11, but a personal and unprovoked attack is too much, even if it was meant to be a joke.

I've had a far less interesting day than you- average day at work and another 100 B/P points. Pretty much the same as always then. Congrats on the pipe though- with luck I'll never have to see it with the redesign coming. Still loving the bat- best icon I've had by a mile!

A little premature there- I'm still a few posts away as I've hardly posted at all today. Yeah, seems the guy swapped it after being whistled a bit for the last stolen entry, there isn't much that could be done at this point except wait it out till it is whistled and just leave it to the mods so they can see it is stolen.

That sucks man- I hope you come up with a more permanent solution soon. Don't worry about the updates- the real world is far more important than a few hungry stat whores :)

I was thinking about this anyway, as the updates are becoming increasingly rare and are so time consuming. What would people think of making it more of a collaborative effort? Rather than having one person responsible for it, we could have a group of members who could either alternate the responsibility, or do it together- collecting half the stats each or something. Of course it would help if said users were able to communicate via MSN/AIM.

It would probably be best to keep it to roughly once a month, as there is quite a stiff work load involved with it, although that would depend on whoever was doing it.

So, any thoughts on it? Any volunteers? Sterockicy and HomerDough have done a good job with the last two, so they'd be my obvious choice to keep the updates running. I'm sure they'd appreciate as many people as possible getting involved though.

My only reservation is that you already have a role here in the Barracks, and although I have no doubt you would be great at the updates, it may be better to give someone else a chance to contribute and take up an officer position. I've been playing around with Flash for the past few days, and made a movie after a LONG break, which you might of seen in the Portal. So here is my question:

Would you all be willing to make an EGB collab?

I like the idea of a collab, but with no talent in flash, I can't volunteer myself for it. PenguinLink and Sterockicy are good animators though, and I'm sure you could dredge up a few more people and get something together.

I'll be sure to stay out of your way then :S. Computers can be blamed for everything though- they never work quite as they should. My mouse is broken as well, although only slightly. The mouse wheel doesn't scroll up and down pages anymore, rather it jerks around randomly. Anyone know why it might be doing this? It doesn't bother me much, but for shooters it's a pain not being able to scroll through weapons/zoom etc. Before you suggest it, I can't open it up and take a look- there is no way to open it as far as I can tell (it's a laser mouse, so no way into a roller ball etc).

Also I just made EGG, and broke the 9VP barrier. EGSC is just one more step away :D

Congrats General, and as for your mouse, I know about as much as you do, but thanks to a little file, my mouse lives! I love mouhid.sys now.

I would. But I don't have Flash. And even if I did, my drawing skills aren't exactly spectacular. :\
