It's great having you back as well pepeatumi. It's been some time since you have posted in here. It's too bad the portal hasn't been to your liking and I hope future days become more "happy" to you, so to speak. I didn't know Page 666 would attract lost members here in the barracks. :)

I wouldn't say I'm back just yet. Its still a while before I'm fully "back" I guess you could say I'm just passing by. I guess getting back into the whole saving and blamming situatuion takes a bit more time than I expected.

Thanks for the welcome back though.

Shit happened.... That's pretty much the reason, I stopped with everything on NG. I had a lot of stuff happening to me (not a lot of good) and I needed some time away... from everything and everyone.

Very understandble, and considering you went through what you did and I sympathize along what I've been through, I'll give you a special permit to be an active NGDD/EGB member until your actual return. No need for thanks, just go on and heal the wounds.

You're very understanding to people, Phantom. I guess we all have our shitty days once every now and then. Take me, for example, I have a boatload of schoolwork and I haven't even started pushing the pencil around the paper. It's this procrastinating that's killing me and I really need to stop this habit.

Anyway, speaking of school, what is your favorite subject, Phantom? I know you'll hate me for this, but my favorite is History. This subject just seems the most easy to me and the more interesting. The least damn subject I like is Math. I hate Math. Don't even mention that word to me, or I'll take the quadratic formula, blend it in with Sine, Cosine, Tangent, and everything that ends with a "sine", spice it up with trigonometric functions, add a bit of isosoles triangles, mix it with the slope formula, and rub it with a Domain and a Range and stick all of it up your ass.

So, what's your least favorite subject?

I know that isn't aimed at me, but I feel like answering anyway :)

I must admit that one of my favourite subjects at school was history as well- that seems a very long time ago now. Having said that I also liked Maths, although that had a lot to do with me being good at it with the bare minimum of effort. My top subject was always Biology though, hence the degree I'm on now.

My most hated subjects were always French and errr... Latin. Languages are the one thing that I seem totally incapable of learning, and those two were the only subjects I ever did badly in. I also loathed English, although that was more down to a poor teacher than the subject itself.

Yeah, I guess I can understand people and what they are through because pretty much any situation you can name I have been through as well and cannot act cold knowing how it is. I have many values and attributes, some bad, some good. I do not know which one of those is compassion, but it is to my sorrow, one of them. Though with me even pity runs out so it is not a good idea to taunt me.

I prefer biology. Anatomy, Zoology, everything that has something to do with medical studies. You know what they say, know your enemy.

So, what's your least favorite subject?

Math.

Actually, it wasn't aimed at anyone. I was just a generalization of my thoughts. You are free to answer any of my questions at all times. :)

I must admit that one of my favourite subjects at school was history as well- that seems a very long time ago now. Having said that I also liked Maths, although that had a lot to do with me being good at it with the bare minimum of effort. My top subject was always Biology though, hence the degree I'm on now.

Hey-y! You liked History as well! :D And you liked Math as well. You know, I really don't hate math with a lot of passion, I used to be good at it at the early stages of it. But do you want to know why I truly hate it at this point of time? The problem with math is that if you miss or don't pay attention a week or so, you will totally get lost the following week. Which is to say, if you doze off or literally don't pay any attention inlass some days, the next day will be total gibberish to you learning new material wise and you'll say, "Ahh, forget it! I'm lost!" And that, is what happened to me... :( Biology was great. That was a very fun subject and I always had an A on that class. I can see why you chose your degree on that subject. :)

My most hated subjects were always French and errr... Latin. Languages are the one thing that I seem totally incapable of learning, and those two were the only subjects I ever did badly in. I also loathed English, although that was more down to a poor teacher than the subject itself.

Yes, languages are always frustrating to people and are quite hard to learn. English is not that bad though. The current english class I have I don't quite like since it is an Advance Placement class and well, it requires a lot of work (The teacher issued a novel to be read two weeks ago and I have only read 8 pages of the cursed book...) Anyway, English isn't so hard if you love reading books or really like writing commentaries (Another thing I haven't started on and it's due on Wednesday...) and essays and and making speeches 15 minutes long. And yes, having bad teachers truly sucks. :(

Aren't you glad you're done with school Donthurtme or do you still wish you were going?

Some things I miss, some things I don't. I miss how much easier life was- I was one of those annoying kids that could do no work and walk out of almost every class with an A (languages being the only exception to that rule). Plus a lot of my best friends now, even 3 years after I left school, were my best friends at school. The free periods I had in my last couple of years were some of the best times of my life. Things were so much less complicated.

But at the same time University is the single greatest thing on the face of the Earth. The fact that I get to live alone (or with friends), do what I want, and study one subject that I really love is nothing short of fantastic. In the past couple of years I've played sports I've never thought of playing before, consumed beverages that really shouldn't be legal, and had more success on the female front than at any other period in my life (though sadly not recently). All in all it rocks, and I would never go back to school.

I can't say that I am looking forward to the world of work though- perhaps a second degree would be a good idea :)

We have hit page 666 haven’t we? I am sure it was by complete coincidence that you were able to get the first post on this magnificent page. I could never imagine that you were keeping a close eye on the post count of the last page. You wouldn't do that just to get the first post on page 666. At any rate, congratulations man, you... uh... earned it. Now let's see who is going to hit the top of 667! Surprise, surprise.

On actual topics, who here has had a good week in B/P so far, mine sucks.

I have been way to busy to be doing any B/P. It has been more than a slow week for me. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a chance to just get in the portal. I pick up a couple points here and there when I remember to deposit, but that is about it. I really need to get things rolling, I don't have very far to go where I'm at. It would be nice to break into the next row of badges. I have to find some time here soon.

At 1/22/07 01:56 PM, Casualty wrote: My B/P kinda sucks last times and I didn't visit the EGB a lot lately =( I've been quite busy and I didn't have much time to be on Newgrounds when I was there =( I've managed to add some stuff to NG Log though, like Auras, Whistle and Base VP.

You are always missed around here. It's good to see you running around. Thanks for all the updates to the Newgrounds Log. I have always loved using it. Any little things being moved here and there are great. The additions to the VP are much appreciated. I have never felt like taking the time to figure the percent difference. The Auras were a nice touch too; I have wondered when they would be added.

I have been wondering what is going to happen to the Newgrounds Log come time of the update here. If everything goes through as planned it seems that a lot of things are going to be added, moved and changed over. Do you think you will be able to reconfigure everything to work with the update? There will be a lot of levels and auras to mix in. It seems as though it is going to take a lot, especially seeing how you just updated the log. Good luck either way.

At 1/22/07 02:14 PM, Seamonky wrote: #1: 666 is just a number to me. It doesn't really mean anything to me. Like 6-6-06, it's just a date. :/

I laughed so damn hard when everyone started freaking out about it being 6-6-06. I mean c'mon, there is a zero in-between all of that. People were running around saying it was the day of the devil, please. It was almost as bad as Y2K. Propaganda rules all, no matter where you live. There are so many people that will listen to anything a so called "reliable" source tells them. It is good to know there are some not sucked in by that crap.

#2: My B/P ratio is sucking so far. Xbox Live has taken me over. :0

Yeah, I know how you feel there. Sadly, I have not walked away from Xbox Live for some time now. It usually just stays on, takes too long to start up. It's funny because games that aren’t live, have that live aware mess. You can get your invites, messages, ect. It really gives you all the reasons to just sit and play. No matter what game you’re in, you know what’s going on. I wish life were like that sometime. Wouldn't that make it easy?

At 1/22/07 02:17 PM, Peregrinus wrote: Maybe 5 points so far, lol.

It sounds like you are having the week of your career eh? You may want to set it up just a little more. It's not like I have a lot of room to talk, but still. I am surprised to not see you going for more. Even where you stand though, your good and far up the ladder. You are inching closer and closer to the top 500. An early congrats for that. I am sure it shouldn't take you long now to break that. It may not be a milestone to you, but the top 500 would be to me.

I'm selective in my voting at the moment, as I'm trying to level up my saves.

That certainly explains why you are inching along. Your ratio is off a bit, but really nothing too bad. Are you trying to get it even with your blam or just closer? If you don't do any more blamming until you get them even, you may be waiting in the portal a while. Although I have seen a lot more decent flash in the portal, I don't think there will be that much. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you'll get to where you want to be.

At 1/22/07 02:18 PM, Odyssic wrote: Hmm I guess that alright, so I moved in to my new school. I'll just say the short part, crap. Long: Pay too much for it.

Sounds like it really turned out to be crap eh? I remember you saying you were going to be moving into the new section. It figures it wouldn't work out for the better. That seems to be how it always goes. Maybe they will get some things added and bring up the value of it a bit. I doubt that'll happen, but it is always something nice to look forward to. As far as paying too much, that won’t change, ever. Almost everything in life costs too damn much.

I have had schools in the past add to the campus, add things to the rooms ect. I have never really seen any of it worth while. They do it to tide everyone over and try to bring people in. One of the last big constructions deals took more away than the damn thing added for everyone. They took away the basketball courts, part of the baseball field and some parking. For what? To add a gym that won’t be done for another four years. Yeah, great.

Are you trying to get yourself bothered over fractions? Only you Phantom. It is stuff like this that makes me both laugh, and have respect. I cannot think of anyone else that would have thought about this. I love it. I am surprised that with the way your schedule runs that you don't have fractions in your day though. I though you would have had everything ticked down to the second. You are always all over the place. I don't know how you do it.

--------------

Alright guys, how the hell is everyone? It has been quite some since I have seen you all. It is nice to come back and see everything still running smoothly. I have sure missed everything here. My inactivity was surely not what I wanted to have happen. Being away from everything and everyone can really toll ya. I have not been able to move up stat wise really at all. I have also missed out on a lot of the goings on here. I'm trying to get back, hopefully soon.

I see a lot of congratulations are in order eh? I sure am proud of you all. There are so many new whistles, badges, levels, wow. Really nice work to all of you. I am seeing some major changes in the B/P rankings too, good to see the list shook up a bit. A special thanks to HomerDough for getting that copy out. i am sure that was a huge help to Major-punk. Keeping that list straight is no easy task, good going.

Although I have much more to say to everyone, I have got to get out of here. I will try and get back just as soon as I can. Trust me when I say that I have caught up on the current events, and will continue to do so. If anyone needs me (doubtful) throw me a PM. I will be sure to check them regularly. So really, keep it all up. This club is still just as amazing as it was back in the day. Damn nice to see things going the way they are. Goodnight everyone.

Actually my day is planned to pretty much every wake minute of it, but Exp points do not go in fractions, and as an extremely poor experimenter in stuff like Pascal, I think I know it can be programmed to make fractions into wholes. Pascal is very very simple but uses a lot of the same principle as other programming languages, and making a command that makes sure if fractions exist they will be rounded up into whole days, because fraction days is pretty annoying as far Exp goes

Huge post Turk, holy crap.

I'm glad you posted, Turkeybean. Nothing makes me more happy than to see old members post here because it gives the Elite Guard Barracks some spirit and light. I am very glad that you find the Barracks to be the same great club from the time you became a member and it really means a lot because there have been some members who have posted in the Barracks saying we have changed dramatically. You, apparently, aren't one of them.

You in turn have helped the Elite Guard Barracks and other people as well and that shouldn't be ignored. Well thats sort of good news!

I was quite happy to find that I had made 85 b/p points today. It was quite a slow day today and getting 85 was quite an achievement for me. I was trying to get 100 so I practically didnt go to sleep last night. Its a shame the portal was so slow, I would have made plenty more. I plan on not sleeping tonight either so we will see what happens.

Here I come Shanus and HomerDough!

Lets get my abusive review gun loaded.

Congrats on that, I saw how many people went down in whistle power lately after false flags and stuff, so I sort of stopped. If I get to Deity eventually by flash and the occasional review, then so be it.

Im not complaining but one of my reviews have just up and dissapeared. I know its probably been deleted but I havent recieved a message from M-bot saying so and I dont review movies in the portal so the review couldnt have died in the portal either. I was wondering if you lot could help shed some light on the situation.

The movie that you reviewed was deleted simple as that. It has happened to me too.

I have also had some of my reviews deleted without recieving that dreaded M-bot message. It annoys me because it means I have to write another review just to get to where I was!

As you can see my flash reviews have gone down to 110 when two days ago it was at 111.

Yeah I used to have over 475 reviews but now I'm down to 423. It hurts any motivation to start reviewing again.
