Simple. The EGB has had many spammer, and someone always manages to respond. It's a constant reminder that we need to just keep shut when they come around. Only the EGB Officers will deal with spammers, and they will deal with them by contacting a mod. By responding to a spammer, all you're doing is fueling the fire and giving them what they want.

Sadly its true, but consider the average spammer: 13-14 years old idiot adolescent with too much after-school time. As long as we can make it clear to those mature NG users that we're here for the good of all, that's all I care about.
