That is just plain sad. I wish I could have seen that. Did they even bother to take out the part where it says who it was by? That would have been classic. Many users do pass things that already have numerous parts. The arizona series is probably one of the worst offenders of that though. There is some main criteria I believe people follow when trying to determine whether to pass a flash before they have watched it:

1. Does the author have any other flash.
2. Is the flash part of a pre passed series.
3. The filesize of the flash.
4. The quality if it's preloader.
5. The number of votes it has at the time veiwed.

People I think will use these, and other basic criteria to pre-judge entries. It is a sign of conformity on the part of newgrounds users. So many people are simply point hungry that they do not concern themselves with the likes of what actually comes through the portal. Around the world in 80 days is another great example of people passing a flash just becasue it is in a passing series.

I think you are right when you speak of the following year being better for us. Many users here have a VP very quickly on the rise. I am one of the lower users here and still have 6.22. We are quickly gaining ground here and will soon enough be able to make a difference. Of course this will not lead to mass voting, we will still be required to vote based on an individual basis, but it will sure help.

My voting power is around 7.50. It's not that powerful but when I get Elite Guard Supreme Commander, it's over. lol! I think we all could be a powerful force if we all reach EGSC. We all vote on flashes by what and how they are.

Couldn't have said it better myself, If we get more good strong active members we can actually help clear the junk from the portal. That is until Wade finds the time to look around and delete/IP ban these users and movies. But for now, we wait.

you for got one thing, I always read the "authors comment" and somtimes people write things like "Please don't blam this"or"It's my first submision so let it throgh"and somtimes people will just write peofanity over and over and then you Know it's peobly not the best flash ever

We are certainly getting there. We have some ground to cover still, but we have come a long way in our short time. The good thing now is that flash authors will be able to easily delete their own entries, that may or may not help out. It can at least get some control given to authors without having to jump through as many hoops.

The part I do not like is that the batting average is based only on the top three now. I think that may cause problems. Users may jst submit three good ones, and then after that they are free to spam away without fear od any adverse effects. I know some authors will stay true to their work, but I believe othere will abuse the system.

You are very right. I had not though of that, but there is a lot of comments like that. Usually when it is a comment like Vote 5, my first flash, just a test, it will surely be crap. So many people think they can gain pitty from other users due to ignorance, but then again, so does half of the world.

I'm not exactly a fan of Barracks members telling other Barracks members how to vote. We are all intelligent enough to know what to blam and what to save. As long as everyone follows the values of the Barracks, we would not protect a flash that did not deserve it.

Please refrain from saying "BLAM THIS: <link>" in the future. That is the kind of thing the NGPD does (and other blam clubs used to do), and is not what the Barracks does. By doing so, you are turning us into mass-voters, and we are no better than the people we are trying to stop.

"Arizona 12" looked alright, the animation that was supposed to look like a preloader was okay, but it lacked content and so on.

I voted zero on it ofcourse, even though that didn't have any overwhelming effect.

Atleast the Portal stays active.

Apparently a ten day vacation won't change the fact that the Barracks has to get raided a few times, but we all know that we can't escape from the usual goof-off.

Other than the obvious, the portal seems a wee bit slow, so, hopefully Clock Day will help out a lot. Though, that day won't come for a while.

We all know those submissions are nothing but a preloader, but you don't need to update everytime their is a new one. No matter what anyone does, it will just end up passing anyways, so people might as well no even comment.
