Okay and I hope to learn more about this.

May I know what is shovelware?
A music 'video':http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/680856

*sigh* Ok, I'll be a bit more descriptive here. The point of my replies was to say that when reporting a submission, please include the reason that you're reporting it. The point of the EGB is not to report things and have them removed by mods, but rather, to have mods and non-mods work together to handle rule-breaking content more quickly and effectively.
If there's a problem, rather than just saying "www.heres.a.link.whatever" and that's it, please be more helpful by saying "This one [breaks rule A, B, C, etc]" and then including the link. This helps out the mods, as it gives us a reason, rather than forcing us to do all the work and research ourselves.
The minimum requirements for posting here should be that when reporting something, you ought to include the link to the offending submission, but also, include a short description as to what's wrong with it. Posting links and/or unhelpful comments not only doesn't help, but it makes more work, and who wants that, y'know?
Oops, sorry about that. It's a video that belongs more on Youtube.
This is not a rule. There are animations on youtube that are here also. That's why I didn't say 'I'll get to that one right away!!' Now, if it was stolen from somewhere, and you included the link to the original, THEN the reply would be, 'GONE!' See the difference there? :)

I agree with both of you; they're short, but not rule-breaking. However, the best advice I have about voting is 'don't vote low.' I never vote 1 on anything. If you dislike something enough to vote for blam (0-1), then why give it any chance of passing? Vote 1 and you give it some points, whereas, vote 0 and all your vote power goes toward getting a blam point.

It's a 'hacked' copy of an original game, though I'm not sure if the person who submitted it had the permission to do that.
Even if they did, that doesn't fly around here. Newgrounds is all about submitting your own work, not someone else's. It's one of our core values.
Is that allowed?
Possibly not
Definitely not. It was removed earlier by our fine NG moderation team. :3
Specifically, it was removed because it broke the very first 2 rules in the Submission Guidelines.
At 9/8/16 09:13 PM, MchectorII wrote: May I know what is shovelware?
Certainly. From the rules:
Your submission must not be shovelware made to serve ads or promote your site. If you didn't take personal pride and care in the creation of the content, leave it off NG.
Shovelware is usually a template game, where the author only changes the music, artwork, or other small changes, but then submits it as a new game. Basically, they're shoveling out the same ol' crap, hence, the term "shovelware." A good example are some of the 'escape' games that show up at night. We discuss these at length in the Mod Forums, trying to determine when an author crosses the line from similar game to shovelware submission. Typically, shovelware submitters:
- turn out multiple games per week
- they usually don't respond to our users' reviews or comments, and
- they don't often make notable upgrades to the game design.
Hope that sheds some light on stuff for y'all. :)
Ok, I'll stop now.

Thanks for the notes,sir.
Not animated, just a still image :
According to the author comments, the audio it's a podcast (which should be on the audio portal).
Musicians make music , producers make products. * drops mic :D
Ok, I'll stop now.
Thank you,Mr Exedor for taking the time and having the patience to explain everything!I've learnt two things from it-first,shovelware is 'spam' and second,I got a lot to learn.
Unpublished Submission
This is not a flash animation.
This submission broke Rule No.5 as it is shovelware:http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/680890
It broke one or both of the rules:http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/680884
Rule 15)Do not submit copyrighted video clips or photographs that you did not create.
Rule 16)Do not submit lame entries with the intent to give users "free blam points."

With After Effects subs along the way. It's fine and valid.
A video with some drawings over it.
A (bad) rotoscope I guess. That again is fine though will probably be blamed.
Completely fucked up, but still rated E for everyone.
No nudity, mature language, just kind of weird. Nothing wrong there either I'd say.
Always good to raise concerns though, thank you.
The videos didn't show(for me):
I'm not too sure which rule it broke or if it did at all.

Agreed. Author comments says something about slaughtering the audio from some 8 bit file somewhere. Seems like there's no video; he just posted it as a video file with audio only. They have a good chance of being blammed, so v0te for points everyone. I'll remove them if they pass.
I'm not too sure which rule it broke or if it did at all.
It's audio posted in the movie side of things, rather than in the Audio Portal. Music videos are ok. Music with just one picture isn't, nor is audio with a black screen like these two. Also, audio that has video or animation taken/ripped from a visualizer program and used as its animated content has been deemed unacceptable as well.
'I'll remove them if they pass.'
That's interesting,I always thought that removal happens before judgement.

Sometimes, we wait. To remove things before they have a chance to get blammed robs the users of blam points. Malicious and stolen items are removed right away. Crappy things that have a good chance of being blammed get left a bit longer, as we only need to have them removed from the site if they pass. Blamming is another way of removing things from the site. ;)
Looks like another of those "juegos" shovelware account :
Unpublished Submission
Musicians make music , producers make products. * drops mic :D
So when we report content here,we are just pointing them out for the moderators?
And I think I found a few more:
Unpublished Submission
(Rule 14:Do not submit pictures in a slide show format with no interactivity.)
Though it's not in a slideshow,it is made up of pictures and in the second one,it's a music video with pictures.

It's pretty close to being a slideshow. Be sure to vote!

That's a textbook example of what that rule is referring to.
By the way, be sure to vote on anything you report so you have a chance at points. Also, be sure to flag anything you report via the flag button.

I never really know how flagging works,I thought reporting it here was enough.

Posting here just brings things to our attention. Flagging via the flag button logs it in the system, which is how you gain Whistle Rank. Voting on submissions is how you gain Blam & Protect points.

Doesn't break any rules but if any of you want to watch this then turn the volume down first, it has some pretty loud sounds.
Also, one of the tags is "faggot"
I'm not sure on this one. I voted 0 and moved on.
Just a gif, might not break any rules but i dunno, thought i should link this here.
This seems like more Blam fodder than rule breaking.
How do I flag successfully? This is what I can understand from the headings:
Malicious-Virus that can 'hide' in the content
Spam-The part about 'hormone supplements and implants' made me think that this is either about ads that might appear in
the content or the content itself
Pornographic-Extremely hardcore 'A' rated content that breaks the rule
Stolen-No explanation needed
Improper-Does this apply only to content that passed judgement?

Pick the best one. We don't punish unless you're way off base. The descriptions were changed not too long ago, and yeah, they're a bit more difficult to understand now, and there are some gaps. I'll bring this up to the Admins.

Actually, it has clickable items. it's boring as all get out, but doesn't break a rule. V0te whatever y0u'd like on it, tho.

I did think about the fact that you can click on it being interactive but oh well.

Tests can be uploaded to the portal. Usually they're quite bad but this one is actually pretty well drawn and animated so I think it might pass. Nothing wrong with that as far as the rules are concerned. A good test.
Just a video of PS1 gameplay with some effects, not an animation.
Yep, that's just as you discribed and has been removed.
Also, this is just a "test" that most people post on their userpages.
Same as the above test though this one is a lower in quality so might blam.
