Notice, though, that it's the only one I reported and I left the others alone. That's the only one I felt crossed the line. That's ok, right? If the mods agreed, they'd remove it, but that's why I posted it here. To ask their opinion, just like every other post I put here. If they disagree, that's fine, y'know?Yes brother... but in the same vein as Superbad or The Hangover... tasteless humor is enjoyed by some. And as long as it's rated appropriately... and hasn't broken the guidelines for submission.. I don't know what this group's interest is.
I think I can explain: the EGB's primary goal is to keep Newgrounds balanced. There are a set of hard-and-fast rules that can never be broken, such as those regarding child porn, racism and infringement of ownership. Then there are the social guidelines where we get into the grey area of the immortal question of "what is art?".
When dealing with a social site like this, where everyone and anyone has the right to submit work, you are bound to encounter work that may not break any "hard" rules, but depending on a point of view, may or may not be acceptable to you. Along that line, over time we will see some users develop a history of what they design and what they upload. Some take the time and effort to make a decent flash, while others feel that a spinning picture with a looped sound and flashing lights is sufficient. It is not always about content - it's also about presentation and effort.
This site likes to front page that Zone guy's shit with tentacle raped teenage superheroes. Did any of you try to flag that?
Good example of what I mean. Yes, Zone's stuff is definitely adult, and rated as such. But it's original work, with decent animation quality, a story line (of sorts) and obvious effort to be funny. Some people like it, others don't, yet it remains on the site because of the general quality and effort of the flash.
I appreciate what you guys are trying to accomplish. Really. I just don't get your process here...
We're just trying to keep the peace. In a free society, we still have rules for the greater good. Newgrounds is part of that society, and as such, needs to mirror those rules. You may have the right to free speech, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to repeatedly drop the "n-word" while walking through Compton (Los Angeles) - some will find that offensive and teach you the error of your ways. As it is here - the Elite Guard tries to keep the balance between the freedom of expression, the enforcement of site rules and what is minimally socially acceptable to all users. It's not a perfect science, and we will always encounter borderline situations where our direction may not please everyone - but we do the best we can.
As such, we do always accept constructive criticism and civilized posts, such as yours.
Hope this helped - thanks for asking!
Greetings to The Elite Guard Barracks,
I noticed that the flag feature of Newgrounds has been removed and was told that I could post submissions I feel like flagging here. However, I was wondering how that's going to affect/change the Whistle status. Or does flagging concern Whistle status anymore? Has flagging on NG become something users have to report to the admin rather than an action they can take themselves by just clicking the flag button?
Really appreciate it if this could be clarified. Thanks.

Now all we need is a gamesgrow alt and it'll be an old family reunion.
This is an embedded youtube video. It's screen capture of someone playing a game. There is no animation or created content here.

The first 'episode' is similar, but there's about 15 clicks worth of intro before the start button and youtube embed comes on.

Besides the obvious site links embedded in the image, this probably falls under (I think) "Do not submit pictures in a slide show format with no interactivity."
Hey, hey! It's bianji baby! Doing what he does best, yet again.

Goddammit why did I have to jinx it...
Does an ad for a real company that wasn't done by the company still count as an ad? Sounds like an ad to me.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks. :)
Almost missed this one. Another user from the past resurfacing. This guy (tibaco) is a serial offender who has had all his submissions previously deleted a couple of times. Hence only the 1 submission.

A 2 second clip stolen from the movie "The Ring." A useless submission, I know, but stolen nonetheless. His audio is stolen too, and has just been reported.

Ahaha, oh wow, look what we have here.
It's a resized Zone flash.
It's probably stolen, I mean the video is suspicious.

The quality is crap, but it's not stolen:

...unless he put the stolen one on youtube too. But it is his account.
However, this one is old:

I know the Clock Crew is a rather prominent part of NG but this flash really doesn't seem to have much meaning to it.
