Yup. As of 9:00 it's still down. It went down sometime after midnight - no one seems to have any experience (5 votes) for today based on NG Log analysis. NG Logs can still read the pages, but experience is stalled.
Let's enjoy the quiet. Once the fine code gurus fix this glitch I am sure we will be exposed to the same level of raw sewage we've been shovelling for the past few years.
The problem is this: What will Spretznaz, GameJunkie and Decky do with all that spare time while the portal is idle?
BTW - Will post roster a little later...
I've been wanting a small break from B/Ping for a while so I don't entirely mind the portal not working for now.

As a side note - none of the members that were dropped last month contacted me about the roster - or for anything else, for that matter. I guess it really was time to reclassify them all as inactive.

That's a shame, I really would have thought that EmmDubya would have, I know he posted not too long ago in the forums. Sad to see an ex NGPD member basically turn his back on the portal. I'm sure he has his reasons.

I'm not sure who exactly was on that list, but most of the ones I do remember are unknown to me because they stopped posting long before I signed up. Guess they just left after a while or something.

I've honestly been seeing FAR less crap in the portal within the past month or so-don't know if that's either because the spammers mysteriously decided to stop submitting (unlikely) or if the Portal Mods finally decided to check their domain every once in a while. Hopefully this means the portal's going to be far cleaner in 2013 than it was last year.

Could you please stop taking so much credit and giving us so little? Just because you post the submission here doesn't mean you're personally responsible for the removal of it. 90% of the submissions that I remove are because I saw them while B/Ping. Just because you posted it here before we remove it doesn't mean we're lazy and depend entirely on you.

I wasn't "taking the credit," I was actually giving it to you guys, if you read it. I just said it far less eloquently than I should have.
Nice to see you on here again Decky ,I don't go to the portal much I would like too though. The Roster the month has just flown by now it is February and my b/p the same as usual. I have not checked the portal for ages .I may have a look soon would be interesting to see what is on there. I have just checked the portal all purple so far busy by the looks of it. Only eleven more months of 2013 hahaha. By this time next year I can't see myself getting anywhere near the amount of my usual B/P, going to university and what not. I'm guessing at one point you got a lot more yourself, all users rise and fall in activity.

It's been having a few days recently where there has been more then 50 flashes under judgement at the same time. Good times for getting saves, blams are still rare though.

Eagle here just to give everyone a quick note about the EGB Forums. They were down yesterday for a bit because I was revamping my web server quite a bit. I had to do a bunch of cleanup on the back-end, but the site is running smoother than ever! Just note, however, that some of your bookmarks and links might not work. Whereas before I was using all these crazy redirects and stuff to host the site, now I'm hosting directly on the default HTML port. From now on, you can use the following URL to get to the forums:
Also, since the website had to be moved (logically, not physically), the cookies are now different. So if you had your account automatically log in, you will need to log in again. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused, but I think it should be much better for everyone.

Yes, I noticed that access was a bit flaky. I figured you were sucking up all your bandwidth with your Minecraft server.

Good to hear from you again, sir. Does this mean we have to clear out all of the equipment we "found" and stored in your office? I am fairly certain most of it wasn't stolen... And, no, IBM won't miss that old prototype "Watson" system we "acquired" a few months ago (that's the big silver and blue humming box we installed the old bomb shelter under your office. It's glitchy as Hell...it's trying to learn and adapt, but it keeps answering every query in the form of a question. It also calls everyone "Alex". I'm working on the code now (actually, I'm working on getting into the code now - damn proprietary AI!) but if all goes well I think I can make it learn what flashes should be passed and what should be tanked, and let it monitor the front lines with it's own automated blam rifle.
Or, we can turn it into the world's fastest game server...we'll see.
