Just wondering why GAMOLITION seems to be allowed to submit a lot of stuff that we would ordinarily report other submitters for submitting? It's mostly generic crap but seems to overlooked for some strange reason.
Anyway here's one that should not go unpunished. It's clearly stolen from greatcargames.com and credited to
it doesn't even have the usual GAMOLITION preloader.

100% STOLEN. I can't remember where this is stolen from but this exact same game has been submitted and deleted at least twice that I can remember.

I've left them alone just because none of their stuff has any ads, therefore not making a penny off anything they've submitted. I could be wrong, but that's just why I don't post their stuff here.
Okay. Here's another STOLEN game. I know I've seen this elsewhere but again I can't remember where. But to justify my knowing it's stolen, just hit the Credits button and see that he has cleverly removed all the credits.
and this, another of his submissions is just a Stencyl Tutorial Game/Demo which has been submitted to NG hundreds of times by an assortment of people and it always gets Blammed/Deleted but somehow it snuck through judgement.
and this one is STOLEN too.
Preloader is from VigorGames and just hit the more games link and notice it has been disabled, always a sure sign of theft.
And after checking his games page, virtually everything he has submitted comes from a different website and has the credits disabled/removed or is a Stencyl Tutorial Game of sorts. Portal Mods need to check this guy out thoroughly.

I understand that if a flash is stolen then link to the original is obviously needed but I really don't appreciate being called lazy, we do quite a bit to help with these flashes and that seemed a little disrespectful to me. Just saying.

Fair enough, in future I will provide more information on the reason that I have chosen to report a flash. Even if the most I can give is "he's done it before and look at the thing" for most shovelware cases.

The bad thing about this is I was doing the exact same thing when I first started posting here, and it looks like I've fallen into that habit again. I'll make sure to say exactly why/give more info on why I'm posting something here in future.
We do appreciate your work but sometimes I just feel like this thread has become a race for who can post shovelware / stolen content the fastest.
Not in the slightest from my point of view. For me, it's if I see something abusive, I just post it (unless someone already has.) How it could be seen as a "race" I have no idea.

First off to Zachary. 99.9% of the time I do, do all the homework and find all the necessary details required, even though I'm not a Portal Mod and it's not my job to do so. You on the other hand are a Portal Mod and it's your job to do the checking, verifying and if necessary deleting of questionable games. The portal mod that took it down should have known better. Please do not remove anything unless there is solid proof.

And no offence intended but you both might want to note that currently Decky, Spretznaz and myself are the 3 main contributors to this thread and the removal of nearly all the shovelware and stolen games are due to our posts and that 99% of the time we know what is stolen and 100% of the time we know what is shovelware as do the other more regular Portal Mods that delete the afore mentioned flash games that we post here, hence their acceptance of our sometimes short explanations,ie: serial offender, generic ATV game, shovelware. Whatever we post here, it's because we know it is, what it is. It's not 'LAZINESS' it's more of a why should we have to type out an essay every time for every game that the same person submits over and over again, gamesgrow and all its ALTs are a prime example. We know all the gamesgrow alts, do you guys? So instead of us writing an essay about every single game that we post here, it's a whole lot easier and quicker for us to just put, "gamesgrow alt" or "serial offender" so that you guys don't have to constantly check them. It's really not as bad as what you guys are making it out to be. I feel a little lenience where Decky, Spretzie and myself are concerned would be appropriate. We know what we are doing.
In regards to stolen content. I agree whole-heartedly with what you have both said and I try my best to find where the games are stolen from (as I'm sure Decky and Spretzie do too) and 99.9% of the time I post all the relevant information required but it's not always possible to find them. I have visited 1000's of websites over the years and can't always remember where I've seen stuff, please keep in mind that I'm old(er than you guys) and most of the time I'm heavily medicated. Add to that the fact that GOOGLE, albeit extremely helpful is not the answer to every problem and you can't find everything with it. We will do our best in the future as we have in the past but please try be a little lenient where the 3 of us are concerned in regards to bonafide shovelware.

I agree completely with what you are saying. It's a shame that this has happened because to be honest I'm starting to wonder what the point of checking The Portal and reporting the shit if this is how we are going to be treated by The Portal Mods. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive to what I consider people being dicks.
Something you all seem to have forgotten:
Portal mods are (mostly) not forum mods. There is exactly zero official reason to pay attention to them with regards to what gets posted in this thread if you don't want to. Like, if they start being annoying and ungrateful about the help they do get.
This particular argument seems to have been solved, but in future could everyone remember the old rule about NOT turning this thread into a flame war? It doesn't matter if it's a troll or a mod (yes, it has happened before); derailing a thread with bickering is still derailing it, no matter who started it or why.
That said, I don't like the lack of links either. You wouldn't leave out the necessary evidence of theft / shovelware in a PM to Wade, so why leave it out of any reports here? If you 'know' it's been stolen or re-skinned a million times before, but all the proof you can think of has been removed already, just mark it as "possible" like we used to when I was a member here, and let everyone else decide for themselves and / or bring some evidence to the table you didn't find yourself. At least you're acknowledging the fact that you don't have all the info needed, but you did look into it and are not just being spurious about posting links here.
Right, the bullshit arguments end here. I'm not taking sides and while I agreed with the portal mods asking for more source on if a certain content is stolen, I am not happy with anyone passing insults around here. I believe you all have genuine contributions to the site (unlike a lot of retards that roam in the General forum) so it's sad to see that it comes down to some of you throwing out words like "butthurt" and "crying" to others.
As a BBS mod as well as a portal mod (although not the most active one out there), I back up the points that more should be explained as to why a submission is abused rather than a generic "this guy" response or anything vague. However, everyone here whether it be portal mods or EGB members should remain civil over the matters.
