Argh. Used to the old method where flagging was present.

That's actually in the plans - I'm working on that API change now.
Also, would it be good if there was a right-click option for each flash, maybe with the context menu option saying "I have already voted on this" and when enabled, the entry becomes gray, and when Portal Guard updates the next time, it excludes that entry?
I have been wrestling with how to mark a flash as "voted on" - my original thought is that if you click on a flash (which opens up a browser window directly to that flash for voting) then at that time the program can mark it as "viewed" and not display it again - OR... just use a different background color to indicate you've already visited the flash. However, if you go to Newgrounds directly and vote on a flash (not by clicking on the PG line) there is no way of knowing you voted on it. So, that means I may need a manual method to mark a flash as 'already voted'. The right-click option sounds like an idea - let me work this out a bit, but one way or another there'll be a"already viewed/voted" marker.
Thanks for the input!

I'm supporting the idea of right clicking and selecting, as then the portal entry in the application can then turn a different color, and disappear after the next poll -- this has the added advantage that the same entry can be right clicked and deselected so that when the next update occurs then it won't disappear, as well as the fact that people will have voted on flash before opening Portal Guard; also, if the portal entry disappears after the person clicks on the entry, then how will they recover it? Suppose the browser crashes, or something happens that prevents them from getting to that link?
It can also be good if the user can get to select whatever he wants, either option 1 or 2.

Well, your wish has been granted! The program now does BOTH! If you LEFT-CLICK, it will mark the row as visited (white) and open up the browser window to that entry. If you RIGHT-CLICK on it, it will TOGGLE the visit (white) ON or OFF.
AND...yes, it will now minimize to the system tray.
Please download a new program set - I've made a boatload of changes and fixes, including some new version detection logic that will pop up a message if a newer version of the program is now available on the website. This way, everyone who uses it will know when a patch or new release has hit the streets.
Thanks again for all your help and feedback!

You're right, all three of his submissions came from a user called aijik on youtube.
I notified Wade of this.
I got a review that accused me of stealing from the audio portal on one of my flashes, I laughed and then I cried because of how uneducated some users are on how things work.
Also, I wonder when flagging will be implimented.

Want to send me a link? I know it's retarded, but it's still abusive.

Not sure, but we all just have to sit tight, to get things sorted.

PWNR4LIFE on page three at the moment, he seems to have a few more abusive reviews looking at his flash history

Is my account "locked" over there? I want to make sure as I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment and so cannot check my mail.

Hello TheSongSalad! I remember you well as you see Newgrounds, has had a new look a redesign do you like it? I'm kinda mixed I love the colors, but I miss small features like the whistle for UJ flashes, and the stars for reviews instead of numbers. Well of topic took me long enough to realize how to find P-Bot posts it is in the forums bit. Decided to not play that game Singularity anymore it sucks frankly, I not surprised it bombed I lost my temper with it.

It would be of great use if you could add some sort of comment besides just posting a link. I know why you are posting this because I already noticed it, but for someone who looks at this you only posted the link, no original or explanation.
Anyways, I saw that 5 minutes after it was submitted and already notified Wade. Original is here I think http://www.funny-games.biz/aokk-f-series.html you can see the blog with more here http://ftfdoujinshi.blogspot.com/?zx=196345ee7bc2efa2

I wholeheartedly agree - don't be a douche and just post a link, as if we're supposed to know, by psychically detecting your brain waves - post a little blurb about it. Your time taken to type a few sentences will not compromise the judgement of the flash.

Wow! it has been a while since I heard anything from you. Don't know if you remember me but I was in the NGPD with you but you ranked out before me and by the time I got here a few months later you were gone. Good to hear from you :).

Admitted to be stolen in the author's comments. Do none of these authors read the rules and realize that stolen shit violates them?
Abusive review?
On one of my flash (the one listed below), I got a review from oOWild69Oo that said "Worst game ever". That's it. "Worst game ever" was the review. No hints or suggestions on how to improve.
Sadly, I rated it as "useless" instead of "abusive". Would I still get a whistle point?

No, you wouldn't.
I've removed the other post, because this thread is NOT Rage's Gift to you: Abusive Reviews. Do not try to recreate this thread, or you will be banned. PM me if you must, but do not post about abusive reviews.

Okay, I guess. I don't see it anywhere in the rules, though.

It's sort of an un-written rule that was established when Rage's thread was closed.
At 11 hours ago, Gimmick wrote: Okay, I guess. I don't see it anywhere in the rules, though.
It's never been added, which is why we're telling you now. Since Rage's thread descended into poor posts, it's best not to post abusive review links anywhere on the BBS.
What happened in Rage's thread was that people would post links to reviews that were not abusive, and some people would go and flag them without looking. It eventually started causing more problems than it was worth, and since people hate reading rules, the mods decided it would be best if the thread was to be closed.
This ought to bring you up to speed.
Well I decided to trade in that game Singularity for Metro 2033 but so far the latter game looks rather dull, boring plot and a serious gloomy game. Nothing wrong with that but this game Metro 2033 seems rather boring and sleep inducing. I love FFS though I know Newgrounds had loads of cool games, I never was one to play them though shame really. Rage's thread got locked such a shame, but alas it was no longer about flagging reviews but some trolls only wanted the diety whistle and that was it. I wonder if the stats are now less important because of stat whores?

It doesn't violate any rules, and in fact is a proper flash, but I thought of pointing out that this has a 404 error when visiting. PM'd Wade.

How delightfully off topic XD. I like your beard, was that just for full on commitment to the role of the demon in that song?
